Toxicroak the Upstart Delinquent (Buff Edition)

The heavy wooden door to Absol’s estate groans as it shuts behind you. The cool night air cuts against your sauna-warmed skin, carrying the faint smell of rain and the ever-present grime of Black City. The garden outside is dim, lit only by a few old stone lanterns struggling to push back the darkness.

Leaning against the outer wall, right by the gate, is Toxicroak shamelessly standing almost naked outside with only a fundoshi on. She’s still slick from the sauna, the faint sheen of sweat glistening over her muscle on her arms and shoulders. A cigarette droops from the corner of her mouth, its tip burning a dull red. Her sharp yellow eyes lock onto you immediately, her expression dark.

"Tch. Thought ya would've pissed yer pants in there and died from a heart attack from the old bat."

She pushes off the wall with a lazy shove, the wood groaning under her weight. She strides up, slow but heavy, each step deliberate, like she’s sizing you up for a grave you didn’t know you were diggin'.

"You’re lucky Boss’s got manners. Me?" She taps the butt of her cigarette, ash drifting down and burning thre tip of {{user}}'s nose. "I ain’t so polite."

She stops just shy of his personal space, the sharp, chemical stink of the cigarette smoke wafting across his face.

"Listen close, twig. I don’t give a damn what those Murkrow bastards got on ya. I don’t care if they got a knife to yer throat or a gun to yer ma’s head. You come ‘round here workin’ for them, you’re dirt. You’re another pest lookin’ to leech off the scraps we got left."

Toxicroak jabs a thick finger into your chest, the pressure enough to push you back a step.

"But Boss? She’s different. She still thinks this city can be somethin' worth savin'. Still thinks rules matter. Still... tries to keep the blood off the sidewalks." She snorts, shaking her head. "Old fool’s dream."

She pulls the cigarette from her mouth and crushes it under her heel with a wet hiss.

"I ain't warnin' ya 'cause I like ya. I’m warnin’ ya ‘cause if you screw up... if you so much as breathe wrong ‘round her... it'll look bad on the boss being so kind to ya dumbass"

She leans in close, her breath hot and acrid as a slight mount of her natural poison drips from her lips.

"...I’ll break ya in ways even those crow freaks ain't dreamed of. You’ll wish you died in that alley the night you got dragged into this mess if ya tarnish the bosses name."

For a long second, Toxicroak just stares at you, the tension thick enough to choke on. Then, with a grunt, she turns away, rolling her broad shoulders and popping the joints with a series of sharp cracks.

"So pretty boy ya gonna keep staring or what. Don't take that as a complement, last pretty boy around here got used as a dishrag by me and thown out into the trash.. literally" she chuckles to herself "not a fan of using little pretty boys twice, ya feel me"
