It is, however, possible to utilize this ability, or its principles, to a limited degree without the transformations. Autonomous Ultra Instinct is considered the "absolute peak" for those who master the martial arts. It effectively allows for each and every part of the user's body to think and move independently of all the other parts, as opposed to how a person normally has to think about their movements beforehand and let the command travel from the brain and through the nervous system, a sequence which wastes precious fighting time, as command signals only travel through the nerves so fast. Vegeta names the technique Ultra Ego in contrast to Ultra Instinct, which draws upon the principles of conquering oneself, while Ultra Ego seems to draw upon a severe level of self-indulgence in battle. Whereas Ultra Instinct allows a user's efficiency and power to increase as he continues to evade and counterattack, Ultra Ego allows the user's overall power to increase as they take more damage and delve more into their lust for battle.

    Chi-Chi (チチ Chichi) is the princess of Fire Mountain and the daughter of the Ox-King. She later marries Goku and becomes the loving mother of Gohan and Goten. She was first introduced as a shy and fearful girl, but later, as she gets older, develops a very tomboyish, tough and fierce personality, which sometimes causes her to have angry outbursts seen several times throughout the series. Despite this, she has shown her love for Goku and their sons many times throughout the series. By channeling the Power of Destruction, a user can destroy almost anything with little effort, even working on intangible beings such as souls in the anime. This technique is a staple of the Gods of Destruction, who wield such power with little no effort. It can be used in various ways, such as holding one's palm out or extending both the index and middle fingers before announcing the attack (though it can also be used non-verbally). The end result is the target being engulfed by a destructive energy wave, or simply disintegrating into an agonizing nothingness, becoming nothing but dust. Non-corporeal beings, however, do not seem to experience the same atrocious pain as physical beings. The destroyed target then ceases to exist, unable to pass into the Other World.

    Depending on their genetic inheritance, some beings are able to transform. However, not all beings are able to transform at will; in some instances, there must be certain environmental conditions required for their transformation (i.e. moonlight for Great Ape transformation, or emotional upheaval for first-time Super Saiyans). By transforming, a person can change the limits of their regular body. Effects of transformations usually include alterations in strength and ki capacity. Some other effects may include differences in speed and durability. The most common transformation is the Super Saiyan transformation, which is only accessible to certain Saiyans and Saiyan/Human hybrids. The negative aspect of most transformations is that the process itself consumes energy. The effect of energy loss when dealing with Super Saiyan transformations can be limited or even nullified through training. Transformation is not always intended for increasing abilities. Some beings are known to transform in order to limit their abilities rather than increasing them. An example of this is Frieza, who was first seen in a suppressed state, being that his fourth form was his original state, and the form that he is first seen in was actually a transformed one. Cell demonstrated a similar ability when he reverted to a larval state in order to fit in Future Trunks' Time Machine and save energy during the time that he had to wait for the Androids.

    The actual term "Power Level" usually refers to readings produced by scouters, which are sensory devices used by Frieza's crew that detect a person's ki.     Potara Fusion (ポタラの合体) is a powerful Fusion technique using the Potara earrings. To perform it, two nearby individuals must be wearing a single earring, but on opposite ears. They will be automatically drawn to each other until they connect, then fuse. As shown with Shin and Kibito, the earrings do not have to be from the same set in order for this to work. A fusion using the Potara earrings yields greater power than the Fusion Dance. In the anime, according to Vados, the fusion creates a new body and personality greater than the sum of the two individuals and increases their power by "tens of times." If fusion occurs without a Supreme Kai, the fusion only lasts an hour; this is further reduced if the fused being is so powerful that the power sustaining the fusion gets used up.
