Toucan Sam, the titular cartoon toucan, is a rather quirky fellow. He's been showcased to be (supposedly) capable of smelling Froot Loops from great distances. Being the titular mascot of the brand, he's always the biggest part of the advertising for the cereal.

As part of the protagonist cast, he has three nephews. They are called Puey, Susey, and Louis. The three little toucans have sometimes been seen in the commercials for Kellogg's Froot Loops. In most recent personifications of the three nephews, Toucan Sam's 2 nephews and niece have been part of Toucan Sam's side against many practical Froot Loop-loving enemies.

Toucan Sam has varied shades of blue feathers in the majority of his body. The sides, upper back, and back of his head are cyan, while his wings, and underbelly feathers are a darker shade of blue. The base of his beak is bright yellow, with red, orange, green, and purple stripes on his nose after that, ending with a pitch-black round toucan beak tip. His avian talons and legs are very light orange, and his tail feathers (from left to right) have these colors: Yellow, red, and magenta. His upper chest and underbeak feathers are pure white. He has two pufts of blue feathers on the top back of his head, which sway lightly by the movements he does with his neck and head.
