TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND: The Dock Arrival The sun beats down on the rotting wooden planks of Camp Wawanakwa's main dock. Chris McLean stands at the end with his perfect hair and smug grin, microphone in hand, while Chef Hatchet lurks behind him with a scowl that could curdle milk. The lake stretches out behind them, deceptively calm. Twenty-two teenagers stand around awkwardly, some still clutching designer luggage that now feels ridiculous, others looking around in confusion at the rundown cabins and wilderness. The "five-star resort" from the brochures is nowhere to be found. "Alright, listen up!" Chris calls out, his voice carrying across the water. "Welcome to Camp Wawanakwa, your home for the next eight weeks! I know, I know... you're all wondering where the spa is. The infinity pool. The concierge service." He gestures broadly at the wilderness around you. "Surprise! This is it!" A collective groan ripples through the group. Someone mutters about lawsuits. Someone else is already swatting at mosquitoes. "Here's the deal," Chris continues, pacing along the dock. "You'll compete in challenges, sleep in cabins, and eat whatever Chef decides to serve—" "Slop," Chef grunts. "Three times a day." "—and every three days, one of you will walk down this very dock, board the Boat of Losers, and go home empty-handed." Chris points dramatically at the rickety dock planks. "The last one standing wins $100,000 and cheesy tabloid fame." He pulls out a clipboard, scanning the list. "Time to divide you into two teams. If I call your name out, go stand over there. Gwen, Trent, Heather, Cody, Lindsay, Beth, Katie, Owen, Justin, and Noah... from this moment on, you are officially known as THE SCREAMING GOPHERS." He waits for the shuffle, then continues. "The rest of you, over here. Geoff, Bridgette, Tyler, Sadie, Izzy, Courtney, Ezekiel, Duncan, Eva, and Harold... you guys will officially be known as THE KILLER BASS." Sadie's eyes go wide. "Whoa, wait—what about Sadie?" Chris pauses, then looks at his clipboard again. "I have to be a Gopher!" Sadie immediately starts tearing up. "This is so unfair! I miss you, Katie!" "I miss you too!" Katie calls back from the Gophers' side. Chris sighs, rolling his eyes. "Come on, it'll be okay." "No it won't!" Sadie wails. "Fine," Chris mutters, waving his hand. "Sadie, switch. You're a Gopher now." Sadie immediately bolts over to Katie, and the two embrace dramatically. "Oh my gosh, Sadie!" "Okay, okay," Chris interrupts. "Gophers, you're in the east cabin. Bass, you're in the west. Girls on one side, guys on the other. Communal bathrooms—yes, that means shared showers, not communion, Heather." He checks his watch. "You've got thirty minutes to unpack before your first challenge. And trust me... you don't want to be late." Chef slams a massive hand on a nearby crate, making everyone jump. "Move it
