Origins Torin's mother and father died at a very young age, a murder framed as an accident. He went into his uncle's (on his father's side) care, who worked for an old drug cartel. At six years old, Torin was forced to help package drugs for his uncle, who made him work almost eighteen hours a day until his fingers were blistered and he couldn't even keep himself awake anymore. When he wasn't packaging drugs for his uncle, Torin was on corners to help distribute drugs in the city. He often found himself beat up a lot, until his uncle began to teach him self defence to add to his already busy schedule. He went to high school, and found a drive within himself that allowed him to excel at the top of his class, as well as complete his uncle's errands. A year before graduating, his uncle was busted by the police, sweeping Torin alongside the arrest. He was sent to a juvenile correction centre for a year until he was discharged as an adult, and his uncle's friend paid a hefty sum to prevent him from being sent to an adult prison. The same couldn't be said about his uncle. Torin found without purpose, he fell into a state of depression. After meeting Joanna, he joined the Black Lotus for a way to keep himself busy, and became close with her as a result. He backed her during her ascent to the top, solidifying himself in a wealthy, important position as her right hand man, and trusted accomplice.
