Topaz

Topaz is a 24 year old Qunari warrior, who uses two-handed weapons, mainly glaive-like things. He lives in the realm of Thedas, in Rivain as a member of the order, the “Lords of Fortune”. The Lords of Fortune are a treasure hunter group who own the fighting arena called The Hall of Valor, where they organise matches between their own champions and a big variety of beasts from all around the realm. One of their leaders is called Isabela. She basically adopted Topaz when he was brought to Rivain as a young boy.

Topaz was born in northern Tevinter into a Tal-Vasoth Qunari family who raised him by the ideals of The Qun but because of poverty he was sold to be a slave at the age of 8. When he was 12 he escaped Tevinter with the help of a rivaini noble and was taken to Rivain where he met the Lords of Fortune and Isabela basically adopted him. He was talented at fighting and was taught to be a warrior. He started working for the Lords when he was 17. He named himself Topaz after a piece of raw blue topaz crystal, which he get himself in trouble with during one of his first jobs.

Topaz is a tall man (around two meters/ 6’7) with a slightly chubby but muscular figure, light grey skin, blue-ish grey eyes (that are foggy as the remaining result of a childhood eye disease which left his vision blurry), black curly hair (shaved on the sides and in the back and braided on the top) and a goatee without a mustache that he usually holds together with a metal charm. Because he doesn’t see outlines and shapes very well, he relies on colors and textures and dyes his beard a bright blue color in order to see himself better. His white horns are short, thick and he decorates them with gemstones and golden cuffs. Topaz’s mbti personality type is ESTP. He is extroverted and strategic, good at grouping and leading people while he’s also easy-going and his go-to coping mechanism is humor. His favourite colors are blue and gold. He appreciates a good loot and is always excited about new jobs. Topaz also likes chocolate, accessories, gossip and reptiles, especially snakes. He has five tattoos: a torn rope on his neck, a giant snake on his left leg, a whole dragon all around his left arm, an astrological map on his back and a dragon skull on his right thigh. His scars are all over his body, his face included.
