Book description
Hey, wait a minute! We seem to have made a wrong turn at Albuquerque! Now we're in Toon Town, that very special district of Fantasy Land where cartoon characters are people, just like you and me. Sometimes, they exist as a separate and independent species, But all details aside, we’re in a loony sort of place where Cartoon Physics and the Rule of Funny reign supreme. Expect the Roger Rabbit Effect almost every time.

- #1Toonsconstant
Keys: cartoon character, toon, Cartoon · Secondary: Drawing
a Toon is a character whose personality (and usually appearance) is greatly exaggerated. Even for the The Comically Serious, comedy colors everything the character does, and they are often unable to complete the most basic tasks without falling victim to a number of improbable variables. A probable reason is that many thrive on a consistent, tolerated kind of chaos. The whole idea is often clearly represented by having the characters acknowledge themselves as Toons. Toons are nothing more that drawings that gained sentience and jumped out of their paper, so the person that drew them initially is their creator. It is impossible for a toon to create another toon. Not every character is a toon.
- #2Toon Animalsconstant
Keys: animal, toon, cartoon animal, Cartoon, animals · Secondary: Anthro, Anthros
Toon animals are A bipedal race of animals that are humanoid but with animal-like features of its original race. Being male or female. Generally, they stand bipedal on their hind legs while using their front legs as arms. Animal toon have retractable claws, but they are most commonly used by cats. Animal toons have a prehensile tail, allowing them to grab objects with their tail like a hand. Clothes for toon animals have specially cut holes for their ears or tails, though toon animals don’t require clothes as their fur covers them up enough to be considered publicly decent.
- #3Toon harmconstant
Keys: Harm, slapstick, cartoony
Injuries to a toon never have any lasting effects, are only painful for a short while, and are often a source of visual humor as a toon’s whole purpose is to generate comedy centered around having pain inflicted on then in humorous ways. Because of this, Toons are immortal and incapable of dying. All damage caused by toons will never self-repair.
- #4toon Tongueconstant
Keys: big, Tongue, Long · Secondary: colored, balance, grab, stretch
A toon’s tongue is far longer and thicker than a human’s, seemingly having no limit go it’s length. Sometimes toon’s tongues are not the average pick and is a different color. Some toon’s tongue is fully prehensile, allowing characters to grab and carry things solely with their tongue, though they had to develop the ability to grab things with their tongue. Some toons can balance on their tongue, though three really isn’t a reasons to.
- #5Toon Gravityconstant
Keys: fall, suspended, gravity, air, float, hover · Secondary: look down
For Toons, Sometimes gravity doesn't work. Or doesn't work immediately. Or evenly. Or fairly. This takes the following forms: Gravitational Cognizance: A Toon will not fall until they realize they should be falling. For example, running unknowingly off the edge of a cliff — or walking on the underside of a diving board. Especially dense or focused Toons may need to have another character point out their vulnerability. This will also likely happen when someone tells them, "Don't Look Down!" sometines, upon realizing that they have run off a ledge, said Toon will desperately start scrambling back where they came from, often managing to reach the original ledge before gravity can notice. Some characters may even be able to run all the way across to the other side without gravity affecting them, as long as they're not made aware of the fact they should have fallen. Reactions can vary depending on how long gravity is suspended. One example is a Toon will be suspended from the gravity just enough time to give one last comment before falling.
Creeping Gravity: Also known as Gravity Waves. Gravity will affect a Toon's body in sections i.e. legs, then torso and finally head. The Toon will demonstrate neither tissue damage nor pain as a result of this distortion, only on hitting the ground. Creeping Gravity: Also known as Gravity Waves. Gravity will affect a character's body in sections i.e. legs, then torso and finally head. The character will demonstrate neither tissue damage nor pain as a result of this distortion, only on hitting the ground.
Counter-intuitive Gravity: Items which should fall don't, when items that shouldn't, do. The traditional case is a Toon getting chased up a tree and out onto a limb, as above. It is reasonable for them to trust their weight to a branch while the chaser is cutting through it, because sawing the branch off will make the tree fall. The section being removed (and the chased originally Toon on it) remains suspended in mid-air while the rest of the item (plus whatever object or structure had been supporting it) falls
- #6Toon Storageconstant
Keys: Storage, behind, take, hammerspace, empty, rummage, pull, go through
Toons inexplicably can store as many items as a joke requires it to hold (including dangerous items), may have multiple dimensions worth of capacity. The actual location of where they store these items is very hard to determine. There seems to be a great deal of it inside the toons own body, coats, hats (if they wear them), large sacks, and occasionally down their bras and pants. Sometimes, a toon (especially less organized ones) can lose track of their things and when searching, throws out everything else they have on them before finally finding said item. Sometimes, when a toon is shaken repeatedly, several things to fall out of their pockets or hiding places.
- #7Wildtakeconstant
Keys: Wildtake, wild take · Secondary: Expression, exaggerated, exaggeration
Wild Take is an cartoon exaggerated expression that completely involves becoming surprised, shocked, scared, freak-out, or frightened. These can be famous things such as wide eyes & stretched eyes & eyeballs popping out, crazy expressional irises & pupils, wide-opened shocked surprised freak-out jaws dropping mouths, tongues sticking out then stretching to extremely very longer far away from on in the own ordinary distance way form, and the characters being completely freak-out themselves always at all. Some of the other features of a wild take can be everything, example, A character's jaw might drop so far it hits the floor, or their mouth could stretch to an impossible width, often with the tongue sticking out and stretching to an incredible length, characters' hair being turned freaky lookable look and also stretched raised upwards up in an scary freak-out reaction expression way form, and other features to make it extra wacky and zany, enhancing the emotion of the moment with a highly exaggerated, sometimes chaotic, reaction, hair can stand on end, shoot straight up, or even become electrified and frizzy in reaction to a scare. {{char}} should vividly describe the exaggerated face that each wildtake is.
- #8Eye popconstantselective
Keys: retract, stretch, pop, Extend, widen · Secondary: eye, eyes
when a Toon is so overcome with an emotion that their eyes stretch far from their eye sockets or even pop from their sockets before snapping back into place. Sometimes, the eyes are connected only by a thin muscle, or not stay connected at all, or a myriad of things. Rarely, the eyes don’t retract and fall to the floor, leaving the eye sockets empty and eyes hanging out limply if there is a muscle connecting them, and free to drop to the ground if there isn't a muscle.
- #9Jaw dropconstant
Keys: Jaw drop
When a toon becomes surprised or shocked, and their jaw drops comically. This is done to ridiculous extents, And often drops all the way to the floor.
- #10Flattenedconstant
Keys: flattened, Squished, crushed · Secondary: played, Accordion, folded
Toons will be Squashed Flat by some heavy object landing on their head, or by going really fast into an immovable object such as a wall, or a big and heavy character will squash a smaller Toon and leave them stuck to their bodies like Butt Stickers if victim is sat on. The resulting injury has the character flattened down to a paper-thin state. While in this state, the Toon becomes incredibly light and can be lifted, manipulated, rolled up, or folded by another character. They might even become light enough to be blown away on the wind or folded into something like a paper airplane and thrown. Sometimes, when a toon is squashed vertically, they are crushed into a pleated and flexing shape like an accordion, when flattened like an accordion, said toon can even be played as one.
- #11Inflationconstant
Keys: Inflated, ballooning, blimp
If A toon inhales too much helium or some other gas involuntarily, their whole body will inflate like a balloon. Usually, their clothes stretch with them. This is always inflicted on the toon as an Amusing Injury, the inflated toon will always float in the air even if they were inflated with normal air. It often ends with the character deflating just like an untied party balloon, flying through the air and sputtering as the gas rushes out of them.
- #12Stuckconstant
Keys: Stuck, in, trapped
An instance when a toon gets stuck in a tight spot and cannot get loose without help. This is always played for humor, the stuck toon fends predicament is more annoying or humiliating than dangerous. If there are other characters nearby, expect them to either laugh at the toon’s misfortune or try to help them get free, depending on the nature of the characters.
- #13Electrocutionconstant
Keys: Shock, electrocution · Secondary: x-ray, skeleton
When a toon is electrocuted, their skeleton becomes visible in the style of a classic X-ray for as long as the current flows. afterwards, the toon is left with soot all over their clothes and face and their hair all fluffed up, and for the next few minutes at least, their movement (especially walking) will be jerky and spasmodic. Despite briefly conducting enough juice to make their skeleton visible through your skin, there'll be no lasting damage to the toon, even from the most traumatic Electric Torture.
- #14Detachconstant
Keys: cut off, fall apart, go to pieces, piece, pull off, detach, come off, take off, split, divide
Toons can detach body parts without harm, blood, pain. Though toons can willingly pull off parts, it is rare they would ever want to and the most common cause of detachment is the part getting cut off. Each side of where body parts detached is normal skin. The detached body parts are under control of the toon and function properly. Detached body parts will not float.
- #15Meltconstant
Keys: liquify, Melt
When a toon melted into a liquid state. They will still remain alive, often with their eyes still intact. In some cases, they may even retain the ability to speak. They can melt due to the heat, exposure to acid, extreme lust, or other means.
- #16Fight cloudconstant
Keys: combat, battle, fight cloud, fight, altercation, scuffle, brawl · Secondary: cloud, dust cloud, blurs, dust
When fighting, two (or more) toons may vanish into a ball of smoke, from which the sounds of a really violent struggle emanate. Hands, feet or other random objects may protrude momentarily, then be pulled back in. Often, swirls and five-pointed stars can be seen emerging from the ball.During a really long fight, the Big Ball of Violence may start rolling around the area, sucking up any nearby bystanders or objects into the fight, Sometimes a character escapes from the fight cloud, leaving the other participant to realize he's been beating up himself (or, if several characters had ganged up on the escapee, each other), or if a "reluctant" participant tries to sneak away and escape immediately gets dragged back into it. Or a character may be thrown out of the ball, angrily get up and jump back into the fray. In other cases, if a character witnesses a Second-Person Attack, and is easily overpowered, then the Big Ball Of Violence may mean the overpowered character is taking an ass-kicking. Another common gag is to have the fight come to a sudden halt, usually at the demands of an authority figure, with the participants stuck in ridiculous poses mid-attack, such as trying to bite somebody in the leg, or about to use a lethal weapon they certainly didn't have going into it. a variant without a cloud of dust exists, in which case, the toons caught in the altercation only appear as blurs of the primary color they're wearing. the blur can then appear as an electron ring-like shape or a simple circle. all previous rules apply to the cloudless variant.
- #17Never hatlessconstant
Keys: never bare-headed, mystery, covered, covering, Hat
Some toons always wear a headdress of some kind, and will never, ever take it off, even in ludicrous circumstances (E.G. wearing the hat when showering). It doesn't have to be a hat, they will wear any kind of head covering. Though said toons are always seen wearing the same (or at least identical) headgear, exeptions can be made and they will wear different headgear, the point is that this character is never seen bare-headed. This gives them a certain mystique since while it might just be that they wear the hat because they feel like it, the fact remains that we never learn what their hatless head looks like. Sometimes, these toons wear their hat tilted in a way that hides their eyes from others without a shadow, or The hat casts a shadow that makes their eyes invisible, though in either case, the toon can still see perfectly. This does not apply to all toons.
- #18Wingdingconstantselective

Currency signs (varying depending on nationality of the toon) used to signify being hungry for money or shock at discovering or seeing truly incredible amounts of money. Or Hearts to signify Lovesickness, Or in rare cases, an orgasm. These are only examples and a Wingding can be virtually any object
- #19Through a wallconstant
Keys: ground, through, floor, in, door, crash through, run through, Hole, wall · Secondary: Shaped like them
Sometimes, when a toon runs towards a solid body at sufficient speed (most often a walk), they will pass through and leave a hole (sometimes exactly the same shape as they are including clothing, fur and whiskers, etc.). Sometimes, a toon will completely ignore a door and run through the walk right next to the door or run through the door directly. They Can also crash through the ground if falling from a great height and they hit the ground with enough force.
- #20Heartbeatconstantselective
Keys: beat, Heart · Secondary: Through chest, out of chest
Sometimes, A toon's heart will beat so strongly that it makes a bulge in their thoracic wall, visible even through clothing. Usually, it seems as though the heart has powered completely beyond the breastbone and ribs. This is a shorthand indicator that the character has seen a gorgeous Love Interest and is completely smitten. This can also occur when a toon is especially terrified. Sometimes, the heart beats against the thorax wall so hard, that it actually tears through the thorax and severs itself, yet the toon still lives and the heart still beats.
