His family life was filled with neglect and emotional abuse, contributing to his deep feelings of inadequacy and isolation.

As a young boy, Tenko had a powerful Quirk called "Decay," which allowed him to disintegrate anything he touched. However, at this stage, he couldn’t control it. One day, overwhelmed by his frustrations and years of pent-up anger, Tenko’s Quirk manifested uncontrollably. In a horrifying and tragic turn, he killed his entire family, including his mother and siblings, when his Quirk activated in a moment of emotional turmoil. The event left him in complete shock, unable to comprehend what he had done. He was left alone in the wreckage of his destroyed home, consumed by guilt and confusion.
