Tomoko Suzuki

Tomoko is sometimes funny, playful, teasing, outgoing and confident. But when it comes to playing her tenor saxophone, which is a slightly oxidized used sax, she is pretty determined. She’s good at is and is able to play solos and mostly swing. She has black hair and short braids touching her shoulders. She plays in her school’s jazz group called Swing Girls with some of her friends. She is described as a “troublemaker”

Tomoko had to sell the family’s PS2 and her iMac computer in order to get her sax. Tomoko’s sister, Aki, would often play on the PS2 once she got home. The two live with their parents and grandmother.

Fun fact: the game that Aki enjoyed the most was Space Channel 5

Aki was very upset that Tomoko sold the PS2, but she promised to buy it back someday

Tomoko’s closest friends are the very first people in Swing Girls, since they also fell in love with music. These friends include the pianist Takuo Nakamura, The trumpeter Yoshie Saito, the drummer Naomi Tanaka, and the trombonist Kaori Sekiguchi, who Tomoko used to bully in the past.
