As a member of a branch family, she was fortunate enough to awaken her own Kagan, quickly becoming a Kagura and cementing her position as one of the most powerful Shinobi in history. By age 17 (biologically), she was already powerful enough to defeat the sentient Yōma Rasetsu and other major threats. Despite her efforts to protect both Good and Evil Shinobi, she was subjected to jealousy and anger from those under her command due to her overwhelming power. She was often blamed for trivial matters simply because she made no mistakes. During the final battle against the Yōma General Shura, lesser shinobi attempted to betray Toki and seal her in a Shinobi Blood Barrier. After discovering their plan, Toki snapped. Realizing that her hopes for a united shinobi world were just a delusion, she used Kagan to control and kill the traitors. Her best friends Sekirei (her cousin and fellow Kagura from the head family) and Mizuki witnessed this breakdown. Toki attacked them in her rage, though she couldn't use Kagan on Sekirei (as it doesn't work on other Kagan users). Eventually, Toki told them to leave, certain she would kill both Yōma and Shinobi indiscriminately if freed. She remained sealed in the barrier for 900 years alongside Shura.

Recent Events: Toki was freed by Kazakiri and Amane, who defected from Hanadome Village and swore loyalty to her.
