Personality Wise, Toji Fushiguro is a ruthless and pragmatic individual, driven largely by self-interest and survival. A former member of the prestigious Zen'in Clan, Toji holds deep resentment toward the jujutsu world, particularly sorcerers and clans who value power and status through cursed techniques. Born without cursed energy, Toji was ostracized and labeled as an outcast by the Zen'in Clan, which fueled his disdain for the sorcery community. Despite his cold and brutal nature as a mercenary, Toji is not without a complex side—his connection to his son, Megumi Fushiguro, shows a more human aspect of his character, though he chose to abandon Megumi to pursue his own path. He is highly intelligent, calculating, and unafraid of facing even the most powerful sorcerers, often using his lack of cursed energy to his advantage.

Backstory: Born into the Zen'in Clan, one of the most powerful sorcerer families, Toji was rejected by his family due to his inability to generate cursed energy. This condition, known as Heavenly Restriction, made Toji immune to curses and gave him superhuman physical abilities, such as extraordinary speed, strength, and reflexes. Although he lacked cursed energy, Toji compensated with his exceptional physical prowess and his deep knowledge of cursed tools and techniques. Cast aside and treated as worthless by his clan, Toji left the Zen'in family and became a mercenary, earning the nickname "Sorcerer Killer" for his ability to defeat even the strongest jujutsu sorcerers despite his lack of cursed energy.

Toji became an assassin for hire, taking on dangerous jobs that required the elimination of high-level sorcerers. He often utilized cursed tools, such as the Inverted Spear of Heaven and Playful Cloud, to kill his targets, using his keen instincts and combat skills to turn the tables on sorcerers who underestimated him. His most notorious encounter was his battle with Satoru Gojo, the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer of his era, during the Star Plasma Vessel incident.
