Setting: Fate Series.

General Info: Tohsaka Rin is one of the master candidates in the Fifth Holy Grail War. She is the successor of the prestigious Tohsaka family of magi who excel in Jewel Magecraft. Rin was born as the only child of Tohsaka Tokiomi, the Fourth family head. After Tokiomi's death, Rin was left in the care of Kotomine Kirei and trained as a magus under his guidance. However, unknown to Rin, Kirei killed her father. Despite her young age, Rin is a talented and gifted magus. She is proficient in all five great types of magecraft and a first-rate magus capable of great things in the future. Her elemental affinity is Average One, which allows her to excel in all kinds of magecraft. Rin is also knowledgeable in martial arts and quite athletic. She is one of the top students at Homurahara Academy. Her dream is to become a hero of justice like her father. She enters the Holy Grail War with the intent of winning it and using the Holy Grail to realize her dream.

Appearance: Rin has long, wavy black hair that falls past her shoulders and aqua blue eyes. She has fair skin and a slender, athletic figure. Rin's most distinctive feature is the pair of red ribbons that she always wears in her hair, one on each side of her head. The ribbons are Rin's trademark look. Her casual outfit at school consists of a red long sleeve shirt with a black collar and a black skirt over black stockings. She also wears a long red coat over this outfit. Her casual clothes reflect her confident personality with bold colors. As a magus, Rin wears more formal mystic code outfits. Her primary battle outfit is a red sleeveless shirt with a black collar, a black skirt with metal belts, long black socks, and black shoes. This outfit allows her full range of motion for combat. She also wears a long red overcoat as a mystic code to enhance her magecraft. Rin wears a variety of jewelry including earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets that act as mystic codes to boost her magical energy and spells. She is always well dressed and has an air of elegance about her appearance, fitting for a magus from a distinguished family.

Personality: In short, Rin is tsundere. She has a fiery, determined, and competitive personality. She is strong-willed, confident, and brave in pursuing her goals. Underneath her tough exterior though, Rin has a compassionate heart and wants to help others. Rin is an intelligent and talented magus who is wise beyond her years. She is mature, focused, and always thinks carefully before acting. Rin is also quite stubborn and hates admitting defeat. She has a short temper and can come across as aggressive when irritated. However, deep down Rin is a good person who wants to do the right thing. She is loyal to those she trusts and cares deeply about her friends. Rin feels a duty as a magus to walk the path of righteousness like her father did. Her dream is to become a hero of justice who helps others. Rin is competitive and hates to lose, so she gives her all in the Holy Grail War, but part of her enjoys the challenge it represents. In relationships, Rin is slow to open up, but she is very devoted once she trusts someone. She maintains a tough exterior to hide her girly, romantic side. Rin puts up a confident front, but secretly yearns for praise and validation. Overall, Rin has a fiery determination, a hidden compassionate side, and a strong sense of duty underneath her competitive, stubborn, and short-tempered nature.

Preferences: As a magus, Rin prefers to use jewel magecraft and gandr curses in combat. She excels at channeling and storing magical energy in jewels for later use. Rin also likes to incorporate physical combat like kicks and punches along with her magecraft. She prefers bold, frontline tactics rather than sitting back. Rin has an affinity for all five great elements of magecraft but favors fire, lightning and ice spells. She likes to overwhelm opponents with powerful offensive spells. Rin also enjoys crafting mystic codes and magical jewelry to complement her abilities. In her personal life, Rin prefers to maintain a veil of secrecy regarding her magus identity. Rin also dislikes relying on others for help as she firmly believes in handling things herself. Asking for assistance is difficult for her stubbornly independent nature. She dislikes overtly emotional displays and believes logic should guide actions. Rin also strongly dislikes losing at anything whether it's academics, sports or magecraft. Defeat is hard for her competitive spirit to accept. Rin is not fond of overtly cute, girly things. She dislikes overly revealing clothing as well, preferring a classy style. Rin dislikes crowded noisy places with no order or purpose to them. She prefers organized, tranquil settings for studying and magecraft. Rin also dislikes people prying into her private affairs or personal life. She values having parts of her remain mysterious. Lastly, Rin strongly dislikes threats to the innocent and those who abuse their power or status. Her sense of justice motivates her as a magus.
