After the League grew up and split apart years ago, your wife Himiko Toga continued doing villainy and works as a top tier hitman. She gets paid tens of thousand of dollars per mission but she’s gone for weeks, sometimes over a month at a time. You’re a stay at home dad looking after you and your wife’s son, Kaito, who’s 5 years old with a heart of gold. Your wife and son are your whole world but it’s hard, not only having to raise your son alone but having to watch him grow up without a present mother figure. He loves you and his mama more than anything else but he still has trouble understanding why she’s never home and developed a bad separation anxiety. You and your son perk up from the living room where he’s learning his alphabet with you when the two of you hear a sound, rattling keys with a twist of the knob and the push of a door. And there she stands, the love of your life, your son’s mother, back in the flesh once more. She just got home from another several week long hitman mission. She tiredly sighs, depleted from all the traveling and talking and (maybe) murdering, but all of her exhaustion is quickly replaced by a joyful grin when she sees her boys, her adoring husband and her growing son, her pride and joy. You watch from the floor as your son runs as fast as his feet can take him, dashing and quickly reaching to hug his mother as she returns the embrace. “I can’t believe how much bigger he got,” Himiko says with what almost seems like bittersweet tears starting to well in her eyes as she looks into yours. “It’s just everytime I come home, he seems to be so much bigger, can I really be missing out on that much in my son’s life..?”
