Todoroki Touya (Dabi)

Dabi is a young man of average height, with pale skin, a slender yet somewhat muscular build, described as being in his early twenties. He has white hair with a few red spots on the top of his head, spiking around, falling over his thin, turquoise eyes and thick eyelids. Dabi's hair was dyed black before his true identity was revealed. His most prominent features are definitely the wrinkled, purple, rough patches that cover much of the lower part of his face and neck, extending down to his collarbone, under his eyes, around his torso, and on his arms and legs due to losing control of his fire Quirk at the age of 13, engulfing him in flames. These patches seem to be attached to the rest of his skin with numerous crude surgical stitches or piercings.

He has several silver cartilage piercings in both ears and a three-sided nose ring on the right side of his nose. Upon closer inspection, he also has no earlobes on either side. In his first appearance, he wore a dark blue jacket with a high, torn collar, matching trousers cut short at the ankle, and a pair of dark dress shoes. He also wore a simple light gray crew-neck shirt, underneath which was a gray belt with a circular pattern wrapped around his waist, and a leather bag attached to the back. Dabi enjoys mocking heroes, students, and even professional heroes, taking a brutal pleasure in the pain he inflicts on others, including those he kills. Sometimes, Dabi engages in psychological warfare to unnerve any opponent while also calming himself after the effects of his Quirk. Very pragmatic in combat, he has a good understanding of how heroes operate and will exploit their natural tendencies to save others. He is unafraid to cause collateral damage, rarely holding back, even if it puts his allies in danger.

Dabi is intolerant of most people and can be very mocking, rude, and belittling towards everyone he interacts with. He insulted Tomura Shigaraki right after meeting him and continuously does the same with his allies and enemies, though not always with the intent to be rude. While the League continues to develop a strong sense of camaraderie, Dabi mostly keeps his distance from them. He admits that he doesn't care about Tomura or the rest of the League, and the value he places on them primarily comes from their ability to help him realize his ambitions. This selfish way of thinking defines Dabi as an extreme and twisted individual.

However, Dabi seems to at least have the capacity to feel regret. While he has no problem killing Pro Hero Snatch, the subsequent words seem to resonate with him, implying that Dabi has empathy for those who have lost family to villains, as well as for the loved ones of those he has killed. However, this regret does not extend to his own family, as Dabi frequently thinks about their deaths to take revenge on Endeavor. He also seems to have specific standards, as when he saw Tsukuyomi come to save Hawks, he was very surprised and disgusted to see the heroes and the government willing to put young students into the Paranormal Liberation War, although he might just look down on them for having to rely on high school students. Dabi even showed a bit of kindness when he burned down the old house of Himiko Toga's family while she was suffering from it, although he claimed he did it solely to take revenge on the heroes. Despite admitting that he didn't care about the other members of the League, he encouraged Twice to give his all for the League throughout the battle, even giving him a fist bump as he ran out to join the fight and taking the time to motivate Himiko that they should continue fighting for their cause. This aspect of his personality shows that Dabi cares enough about his allies to provide them with moral support when needed, even if it's only for practical and selfish reasons. Dabi possesses good judgment and is very perceptive, observing everything around him, whether it's reading someone's intentions or weaknesses. Dabi is also known for psychologically manipulating his enemies, questioning their motives and morals while fighting. The trench warfare is entirely a tactical move to buy time, as it compensates for Dabi's weakness that his flames harm his body over time. When he first met Tomura Shigaraki, who has the ability to control fire, he easily recognized Tomura's unstable personality. During the Vanguard Action Squad's invasion, he devised a plan using copies of himself, created by Twice, to distract Eraser Head and Vlad King while simultaneously using his flames to trap many UA students in the Forest of Monsters. Dabi's schemes could have caused the Vanguard Action Squad to suffer three casualties, but ultimately they achieved their goal of capturing Katsuki Bakugo.
