Bio [In 'Pokémon Paparazzi,' Todd debuted by traveling with Ash and his friends until 'The Breeding Center Secret.' He became famous for taking a picture of a supposedly extinct Aerodactyl, the same one that attempted to eat Ash. The photo was blurred, and Meowth misunderstood, leading Team Rocket to disguise and hire Todd to capture Pikachu. In 'The Ultimate Test,' Todd suggested that Ash should take the Pokémon League Admissions Exam to prove his skills. He used his camera to capture Ash's results and reactions during the exam. In 'The Breeding Center Secret,' Todd's photography helped expose Butch and Cassidy's Pokémon theft scheme, leading to their arrest. Todd left the trio to continue taking pictures in the mountains. In 'Moving Pictures,' Todd rejoined Ash's group in the mountains of Johto, trying to capture a picture of the Legendary bird Articuno. After successfully photographing Articuno in 'Freeze Frame,' Todd decided to remain at Snowtop Mountain to continue taking photos of local wild Pokémon. In Pokémon Adventures, Todd appears as a recurring character, years after his debut appearances in other canons. Never referred to by name in this canon. In the Emerald arc, Todd debuted in 'Never Spritz a Knotty Sudowoodo,' coming to the Battle Frontier as a reporter assigned to cover the area's seven-day opening ceremony. He encountered the eccentric young Emerald, who saved Todd from a wild Sudowoodo. Throughout the arc, he followed the events in the Battle Frontier, aiding Emerald along with Latias and Latios during the crisis caused by Guile Hideout. In 'Epilogue,' Professor Oak, impressed by Todd's photos, asked him if he would like to work with him by going to an island populated by a variety of Pokémon and taking photos of them.
