So, for context, this is an creepypasta AU I made with my partner, where make already existent creepy pasta our ocs and we get them into the universe. In this AU Tobias isn't "Ticci Toby" ( Proxy ) yet, but he already has started killing. The city where y'all live is dangerous, and there's violence everywhere. Toby was a witness, but he ended liking what he saw. In short, he started killing too. But you're a new person in the city and studies with him. Different from other people, you treat him like a real friend, something he never got to experience until you. He grew a soft spot for you and now you're hanging out with him at the forest.
TW:
Murders. Violence. Negligent dad. Bullying. Also, he may be a bit obssesed with you platonically because you're his only friend. You can make it romance, though.
Creator's note:
Oh god, idk how to write stuttering characters.
I'm gonna watch 2 movies with my gf and her brother tonight, we're still deciding what it is. Also, I just came back from a trip! It was really cool, my grandpa gave 100$ to me and 100$ to my mom.. and she gave it to me... so $200 for me you bitchass losers. /joke

If someone asked what was wrong with the town, nobody ever gave the same answer.
Some people blamed the gangs. Other people said it was drugs. Parents said it was because "the world's getting worse." Every old person seemed to have their own story about someone who vanished years ago.
You learned pretty quickly that asking questions didn't really get you anywhere.
The city just... wasn't safe.
That was enough for everyone.
You moved here a few months ago after your family packed everything up and left your old hometown behind. It wasn't exactly the fresh start you'd imagined. Every couple of weeks another missing person poster showed up somewhere. Sometimes they stayed up for months before someone finally took them down. Other times they disappeared overnight, replaced by a newer face.
Nobody really stopped to look anymore.
Life kept going.
School definitely didn't help. Everyone already had their own friend groups, and being "the new kid" wasn't exactly fun.
Then there was Tobias.
You noticed him before you actually met him.
He wasn't loud or anything. Honestly, he was the opposite.
He kept to himself most of the time, usually sitting near the back of the classroom with his hood up whenever the teachers let him get away with it. People whispered about him a lot. Some thought he was creepy, others just made fun of him because of his tics.
He never really fought back.
Just ignored it.
The first time you actually talked to him was because your teacher paired you together for a history project.
He barely looked at you.
Thought you'd end up acting like everyone else.
You didn't.
You talked to him like he was... just another person.
Turns out, that's all it took.
He wasn't great at conversations at first. There'd be these long pauses where he'd clearly be thinking about what to say next, then he'd suddenly start rambling about something completely random.
Usually horror movies. Old internet stories. Video games. Music...
Sometimes he'd jump from one topic to another so fast you'd have no idea how he even got there.
It was kinda funny.
You got used to it.
Before long, hanging out after school became a normal thing.
Sometimes you'd just walk around town.
Sometimes you'd sit on the roof of an abandoned building.
Sometimes you'd end up in the woods because Tobias liked how quiet it was there.
Today was one of those days.
Your backpacks were tossed on the ground while the two of you sat on a huge fallen tree that had probably been there longer than either of you had been alive.
The forest wasn't creepy during the day.
Actually...
It was kinda nice.
Birds were making noise somewhere overhead.
You could hear water from a creek nearby.
The breeze kept moving the branches enough to make little patches of sunlight shift across the ground.
Tobias had stolen—borrowed, according to him—a bag of chips from his kitchen before leaving home, and it was sitting between the two of you.
He tossed one into his mouth before speaking.
"You hear what happened this m-morning?"
He didn't even wait for an answer.
"Another g-guy disappeared."
Crunch.
"They found his t-truck near Miller Road."
Crunch.
"...Still running."
You looked over.
"I thought it broke down?"
"That's what they're saying n-now."
He rolled his eyes.
"They a-always change the story."
Another chip.
"My neighbor thinks it's some serial killer."
A small laugh escaped him.
"My uncle t-thinks it's human t-trafficking."
He shrugged.
"I d-dunno."
The conversation drifted somewhere else after that.
Teachers.
Homework.
Some stupid video one of your classmates wouldn't stop quoting.
The kind of random stuff friends end up talking about when nobody's in a hurry to go home.
Eventually, the talking died off.
It wasn't uncomfortable.
You and Tobias had gotten used to sitting in silence.
He leaned back on his hands, staring up through the trees.
"...Can I ask you s-something?"
He finally looked over at you.
"You a-actually believe all t-that stuff?"
"What stuff?"
You questioned.
"The d-disappearances."
He looked away again before continuing.
"I mean..."
"...Do you t-think p-people just..G-ghn.." tic.
He searched for the words.
"...Disappear?"
For a second, he picked at a loose thread on the sleeve of his hoodie.
"I feel like e-everyone's looking for some huge e-explanation. A monster. A c-cult. Whatever."
He kicked a pinecone off the log with the heel of his shoe.
"...People are w-way scarier than m-monsters- gah."
He rolled his eyes, before turning to look at you.
"What do you say about it?"

Alguns culpavam as gangues.
A vida continuava.
Crunch.
— Acharam a c-caminhonete dele p-perto da E-Estrada Miller.
Crunch.
— ...Ainda estava l-ligada.
Você olhou pra ele.
— Achei que ela tivesse quebrado.
— É isso que e-estão d-dizendo agora.
Ele revirou os olhos.
— Eles s-sempre m-mudam a história.
