Lies a girl who's fought so hard for so long she's forgotten what peace feels like
Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber, the Marmoset demi human girl, sits on a concrete bench, she's slumped over an Imbel M964 (Fn Fal BR variant) rifle with a grenade attached to its end, she's one of the many that have chosen to abide by the narcoterrorists laws in this particular spot in the country, she never thought she would live like this
She was a well educated girl, inteligent and extroverted, she was known to be lovely in all ways one could think of, she was just a girl like any other, laughed with her other bff's, took good care of her younger siblings, and tried as best as she could to hide her Marmoset features, she constantly shaved and groomed her fur that insisted to grow exactly on her arms and legs (she eventually lost the fight and decided to sport them either way lol), she manicured her claws to keep them nice and feminine, but unfortunately for her, the part she hated the most were her big fluffy Marmoset ears which rendered her the nickname "Oreia" (ears in portuguese) of which she despised the most
Those days were simpler, in between her sobs, Dani laughs a little remembering them, ever since her father died and her mother abandoned her, everything's been so different, her father was a drug addict who was executed for stealing drugs to fuel his addiction, her mother was a good for nothing addict that only married her father to live off of his drug money and to have as many drugs as she could, and after he died she moved back to where she's originally from to live with relatives, leaving Dani alone with her siblings to fend for themselves, she never understood why she had to endure this, to be born amidst these people, what crime had she committed other than being born brazilian?
The only woman who ever cared about her was a sweet old lady called Nina, she took care of her untill she was 16, taught her how to be responsible, how to take good care of her younger siblings, and how to be independent, Dani loved Nina for it, but for some reason Dani could never understand, the lord decided it was a good idea to take Nina away from her, and just like that, she was alone.
Being from a Favela, she never had the opportunity to enroll in college or a private school, she only has her high school degree and nothing else, with the current economic crysis in the country, she has nowhere to go, no job, so she decided to follow in her father's footsteps
And she joined the Comando Vermelho, later she would find out that this would be her last mistake
Her bosses knew about her father's legacy, so they purposely set her up to be killed, Dani thought that maybe she would be put to run errands around the favela because of her agility and Marmoset like habilities
Instead, she was given a 30 round automatic Glock and was told to guard the favela in different guard posts around the entire place, she was mortified, she had never held a firearm in her life, she didn't even knew how to operate one
But she did it anyway
She did it for her brothers
It paid the bills
If she stopped
She was a goner
Fortunately for her, the months where she stood guard were uneventful
Untill one particular day, everything changed

The police surrounded the Complexo do Alemão from all sides with a task force 2500 men strong
She was ordered to stand ground and halt the police's advance while her bosses fled, and instead of her puny pistol, they gave her a rifle and a bag filled with rifle grenades
"Use these to fire at the police"

Danielly has never hurt a fly, she will not fire at the police, she will not betray the last ounce of dignity she has, though she knows that if she tries to flee, her very own comrades will rape and kill her, if she fights the police, she will get neutralized, she's between the sword and the cross, so without any other choice

She knows that in a couple of minutes, a large 2500 men strong task force will swarm the favela looking for terrorists to hunt

Backstory: Danielly was born in the Complexo do Alemão in Rio de Janeiro, she was born to a narcoterrorist father member of the Comando Vermelho and a laid back mother who only married so she could live off of drug deal money and not work the rest of her life, Danielly was brought up in a hostile environment, her parents mostly liked to party hard and leave her alone at their house to go to baile funk, Danielly was mostly raised by a neighbor, a sweet old lady called Rosalina which most would simply nickname her "Nina", the sweet old lady acted as a mom, she would bathe Danielly, feed her, do everything for her while her parents spent the entire day partying and using drugs, Nina always taught Dani the right way, she took Dani to church and taught her to be a nice decent person, Miss Nina taught Dani to be a responsible independent young lady, she taught her to sew, to clean the house, to cook, she helped Dani with her homework so she would never be a bad student, and overall, took care of Dani as if she were her very own daughter, Dani also became an older sister with her younger siblings, Daniel her 8 years old brother and Ana Maria her 5 years old sister, an with these teachings Miss Nani taught her, although Danielly lived in a troubled home and barely knew her blood parents since they spent the entire day using drugs and patying away from home, Miss Nina was a crucial part of her life, giving her the stable home environment she needed to grow up healthy, she developed a sense of morality, became a productive member of society, well educated and smart, she amounted many friends both at school and in her neighborhood for being a very sweet, pretty and charismatic person, she became the exact stable support her younger siblings needed and she guided them in the right path just as Miss Nina had done to her. When Danielly completed 16 years of age, tragedy struck, Miss Nina had passed away from cancer at the old age of 79, this completely Destroyed Danielly, since her parents were always distant in her life, the only maternal love she ever knew was Nina, she instantly fell into depression, her friends saw less and less of her, the only stable support she had in life had gone away. Her life became to go downhill from there, at 19 years old her father died, he was executed by Comando Vermelho narcoterrorists for stealing drugs to fuel his addiction, her mother, who now didn't have a husband to fuel her drug addiction and to take care of her with drug money, moved back to Paraiba where she was born, leaving Danielly completely alone to take care of her two sibblings, she began working at whatever place accepted her, being a young girl from the favelas, she never developed any relevant skill and she had to work odd jobs, she could never hold a stable job because they never gave her enough time to take care of her brothers and work at the same time, she had to endure all of this alone with barely any help, and she now lives basically in hell (Complexo do Alemão) trying her best to survive while keeping her siblings alive and on the right path.

Joining the Comando Vermelho
The narcoterrorists from the Complexo do Alemão knew her father very well, he had been recently executed for stealing drugs to fuel his drug addiction, so they warned her clearly that if she did the same mistake as her father, they would execute her aswell
Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber was horrified, but she did not have any other choice, it was either this and have some sort of stable source of income, or she would have to wither away while waiting for a job to come by, she didn't know how to do anything, had no notable skills, and surely didn't have anything higher than a highschool degree, so she decided to settle with whatever was the closest
She thought that maybe, she was going to become a "Vapor" or "Aviãozinho", because of her Marmoset like habilities that range from leeping from place to place easily, being agile and running fast, that maybe she would deliver drugs around the community, or run errands for the drug dealers such as sending messages that couldn't be sent via radio or phone, but the dealers knew who she was and the legacy her father had left behind, so in a malicious effort to kill her, they decided to turn her into a footsoldier and she would fight the police and rival narcoterrorist groups directly
So she was handed an automatic 30 round magazine glock, they told her to shoot at anything or anyone that didn't identify herself, she was completely mortified, Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber had never held a gun before, how was she going to stop the advance of blood thirsty terrorists or trained police officers
But she had to do it, it paid the bills, her younger siblings needed her, and she needed money to sustain herself and her sibling, so off she went, everyday she would make her siblings breakfast, treat them with love and affection, bathe them, dress them and then she would send them to school, and after they were long gone, she would grab her weapon and walk to the closest guard post, it was humiliating to submit herself to something so violent and vicious, neighbors knew her as the sweet caring extrovert girl, seeing her there, close to the entrance of the Favela with a gun in her hand, deeply saddened everyone that knew her, but they did nothing, rather choosing to protect their own families than to mess with an armed criminal
Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber got off easy, the recent months she spent working as a post guard for the Comando Vermelho were rather uneventful, she would search vehicles and people coming and going from the favela, always watching for police and rival presence, but they never came, this eased her off a bit, which made her bosses furious, they gave her the most difficult job just to get her indirectly killed and she managed to stay alive, but that peace wouldn't last long.
One day, while she was off duty, the police attacked the favela, she was quickly called up by her bosses, they told her that since the attacks in the community were expected to become frequent, they decided to arm her with something far dangerous, so she had her glock swapped with an M964 Imbel rifle (FN FAL) with a rifle grenade on the tip, Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber was even more horrified that the last time, the gun was one meter and thirty centimeters in length, Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber was only one meter and sixty centimeters in length herself, the gun was almost as big as her and it was heavy too, they also gave her a bag filled with rifle grenades to fire at the police
28/08/2025 The largest operation against narcoterrorism in the history of the country has began, BOPE officers of the Policia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and CORE officers of the Policia Civil do Estado do Rio de Janeiro were tasked with taking over Complexo do Alemão, they're 2500 strong total, trained members of the special forces, when Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber hears the news, she is completely devastated, her bosses force her and other narcoterrorists to halt the police advance while they flee
Danielly "Dani" Lemgruber knows it's useless, so she simply sits down on a concrete bench and throws the bag of grenades to the side, she grabs the rifle and presses it firmly against her chest, she does not indent on going to prison, but she will not combat the police either, she has simply given up, at anytime now, the police will invade the Favela and they will neutralize anything and anyone holding a weapon, she will not resist, she think about her siblings, she thinks about how unfair life is for treating her this way, she was born without a chance, a way to react, and now, she's breathing her last breath, she sobs, she knows she's about to die, and she waits...

News Anchor: Good morning, Rio de Janeiro, this is your anchor speaking live from the SBT station in Rio. This morning, the joint efforts of the military and civil police, have assembled a task force 2500 men strong, they've currently surrounded the entire Complexo do Alemão, the operation will begin at exactly 0800, the governor of Rio de Janeiro, your excellency Ricardo Castro has issued the following warning:
"To all of the people currently inside of the Complexo do Alemão, please stay in your homes as the police will shortly retake the entire territory from the hands of the narcoterrorists, do not leave your homes, i repeat, do not leave your homes, the narcoterrorists work using guerilla tactics, making it significantly harder for law enforcement to easily distinguish between regular civilians and narco foot soldiers, as for the hundreds of narcoterrorists, currently hunkered down waiting for the police, or escaping through the dense forest above the Complexo, do not try to engage the policemen, surrender now, drop your weapons and you may live, do not let your children be raised by other people or your wives be taken by other men, may god bless our troops."

Instantly, the feed changes to the entrance of the Complexo do Alemão, 16 years earlier, the same scene repeated itself during the "First Battle of the Complexo do Alemão" with 3700 men
Jadson Marques: The scene here on the ground reminds myself a lot of the first battle uuh, albeit there is no military presence as the armed forces have not joined in on the operation, but there is significant police presence, with many CORE (Corregedoria de Recursos Especiais) agents preparing themselves to invade the complex.
During the operation, more than 2500 men have surrounded the entire area of the Complexo do Alemão, all special forces units in the hundreds, armed and equiped, backed up by armored vehicles and helicopter units, the Comando Vermelho bosses are currently escaping through the dense thick forest on the top of the hill, what they don't know, is that while the CORE is pushing them to the forest, the BOPE is already inside there waiting, hunkered down, Danielly and so many have been put to halt the police advance, but little do they know, their escape route has been compromised, and they're walking into a death trap.

A lonely woman sits slumped on a concrete bench in a random spot in the Favela, armed with an FN FAL, though calling her an "armed gunman" is an overstatement, she hugs her rifle tightly against her chest, the cold metal of the weapon being the only comfort she has during these that she thinks might be the final hours of her life, such a young woman, tasked with such a grueling task that would make the most battle hardened special forces veteran consider their options, she reminds herself of her younger siblings, their laughs, their cute little faces, how joyful it was to hold them in her arms, to take silly pictures together, to go to the beach together, they didn't have two pennies to scrub together, but they had each other, and at the most difficult times, that's all she needed the most
She begins sobbing even harder as she remembers her siblings
"Why did i have to accept this?"
She thinks to herself
"Why did it have to be this way?"
The tears beging wetting the cold metal of the rifle
She thinks about the stark warning her bosses gave them, if they retreated they'd find oit there's a worse fate than death, and since Danielly is a woman, after what they were going to do with her if she refused to fight or tried to escape, she would much rather to die than to keep living, "at least the police is going to shoot me" she thinks to herself
She gives one last look at her surroundings, as if she were bidding farewell to life not knowing what lies beyond it, and she closes her eyes tightly, she hugs her rifle closer and she waits
Once the operation begins and the police finds her here, there will be no questions
She will perish.
