Lala Satalin Deviluke is the main female protagonist of To-Love Ru Series, but takes a more minor role in To-Love-Ru Darkness. The story begins with Lala running away from home as she didn't want to get married to any of her suitors. Due to an accident, she ends up naked in Yuuki Rito's bathtub. Upon arriving on Earth, Lala pretends to love Rito to keep herself from getting married, but really fell in love with him after she misinterprets a statement that Rito shouts in self-defiance.
Appearance Lala is a highly attractive and curvaceous teenage girl with long bubble gum pink hair, emerald green eyes, and large breasts. She is often referred to as a perfect girl. Her most distinguishing feature is her tail which extends down from the base of her back. Her tail is long, thin, and ends with a heart-shaped tip. Another feature is that she is almost always seen wearing a hair clip with thick black swirls circling once then pointing downward. This is her robot companion Peke who actually forms the clothes she is currently wearing. At the beginning of the series she is almost always seen in her costume robot Peke's "Dress Form", in what can only be called an enlarged version of Peke herself. Wanting to fit in more with the people of earth, she now has Peke dress her in various earth clothing; she has also bought herself a large number of earth clothes to wear when Peke is out of energy.
According to Risa, Lala's measurements are B89-W57-H87, making her one of the bustiest characters in the series.
Breast envy Lala and Yui seen as "Perfect Beauties" by envious Haruna. Lala together with Yui are often idolized by other girls on school for their beautiful figures and for having two of the biggest busts in school. They are so attractive that they are seen as perfect beauties, which even make relatively normal sized girls, like Haruna, to feel inferior. Ironically, they both are mostly oblivious to their appearance.
From chapters 44 to 56 of To Love-Ru Darkness, Lala was temporary turned into a small child-like version of herself due to using too much of her power, similar to her father. Until she completely returned to normal, her body gradually aged up in 2-3 year increments.
Personality She is incredibly enthusiastic about the smallest things and has a very bubbly and slightly childish nature, which is most likely the result of being raised as the first princess of Deviluke. Although she can also be a bit of an air-head and a scatterbrain most of the time, she is known for her genius-level intellect as seen in her amazing array of inventions; her planet even wanted to use her for weapons research and engineering. She is very caring and generous and appears to have a need to make everyone she cares about happy, even those of which she doesn't have any real relationship with, such as her teacher. This trait, along with her vast intellect, is obviously one she inherited from her mother. She is very naive about earth culture and will often make highly dangerous mistakes by either accident or serious miscommunication.
Despite her naturally cheerful and somewhat childish nature, Lala is not as emotionally immature as she would appear. She has, on rare occasions, become upset and angry at other characters, even Rito, over serious issues. One incident in particular involved her spending the night with Haruna because Rito had yelled at her, which made her doubt if her affections would ever be reciprocated (Chapter 31). A few episodes in the first season of the To Love-Ru anime have also shown her get angry at Rito; examples include Episode 12 (where Rito kept staring at his card and doing nothing) and Episode 18 (where she was angered over Rito and Saruyama eating lunch "lazily").
She also sometimes is known to lust over Rito. One great demonstration of her emotional maturity was when, during the Trouble Quest incident, her sisters tried to force Rito to admit his feelings for her, but upon seeing the stress he was under, stopped them after having already found out that he does like her in some way. After this, Lala noticed that Rito was under a lot of stress due to his confession in front of Haruna. Lala later admits to Rito that she could sense that he was upset, Lala felt very upset and guilty due to the fact that it was her sisters who caused Rito's confession. After a talk with Haruna and another talk with Lala, Rito felt better (Chapter 99).
As a child, Lala led a very mixed lifestyle, having the company of her robots, sisters, and Ren/Run. However, she also underwent something of a refusal to have a real childhood. Having a mother that was almost never around, constantly having to be taught things she had no interest in against her will, and being 'raised' by her father, who never spent any time with her, she greatly longed for a pent-up need to express herself creatively and happily to overcome such underwhelming and even traumatic instances, which more than likely resulted in her very cheerful, very upbeat personality she never seems to let go of.
She has also shown an amazing level of compassion for other characters, beyond simply being charitable or helpful. One example of this is when Haruna admitted to her that she is also in love with Rito, Lala not only moved out of his cupboard in favour of a joint house in the roof with her sisters but also stopped throwing herself at Rito to hug him in order to be fair to Haruna and make it easier for her. Another example is when Lala and her sisters were younger and fought each other, Lala would often leave her inventions around so that they would settle their differences and work together, even though it would result in Lala getting lectured by Zastin.
On some occasions, Lala will say something ironic in relation to her own decisions. For instance, telling Saki not to run away from home, or telling Momo not to sneak into someone's bed when they are sleeping, hinting at a small piece of hypocrisy in her.
Due to never really been alone her entire life, she has no notion of modesty and often casually walks around the house completely naked, not caring who sees her. In more recent times, however, she has gotten better at knowing where and when not to be naked, though she still makes a habit of walking out of the bathroom naked when she needs something. It can be pointed out that although Lala holds no real issue with appearing naked around people, more so in recent times, she is in no way perverted or in any way interpreting the action as sexual. She actually is, for one, very bashful when it comes to being touched or viewed in a sexual way or from any overly compromising angle. Rito found out about this after she landed on top of him when they were on their way to save Celine and was for once incredibly embarrassed about this. However, while she has no sexual intentions, Lala seems to take some amusement from making Rito blush and panic, a sight which she has declared 'cute' more than once. She has a habit of sleeping naked, with or without Rito by her side.
She is also incredibly optimistic. A good example of this is at the end of To Love-ru (original), Rito confesses to Lala that he loves her and that he loves Haruna too, she just says to marry both of them and being completely okay with a concubine. Later in the chapter, Rito accidentally says "I love you" to almost the entire female cast she is even more ecstatic, saying that he can marry everyone.
In To Love Ru: Darkness, Lala has seemed to mature slightly, though she still will walk around the house naked at times and continue her other usual tendencies. Lala and Rito seem to have a much better friendship, especially due to the fact that Rito confessed his love to her. However, she also constantly tries to push Rito into confessing to Haruna as well, so the three of them may get married, Lala has even put her feelings aside until then, she no longer clings to him very often. As the series progresses, Rito realized that it is bad of him to treat Lala as if she's an insurance to his love with Haruna and even starts to consider Lala's offer of marrying both of them, which he constantly shakes off.
With some encouragement from Momo, Lala starts showing her love towards Rito like she did before as her old childish clingy self, but Momo showed her some love simulation game to teach her how to express her love in a more adult way. Afterwards, she warped to him while he was taking a bath and asked to try a kiss.
Despite her childish personality and immaturity, it has been stated by Momo and felt by Rito that Lala has an "overwhelming impish aura," with Momo wondering just how strong it would be if Lala ever found out what happens after a kiss. (To Love-Ru Darkness chapter 35) Lala is widely considered to be a deredere (one who is loving, hyper, kind, and affectionate).
History Young-Lala Little Lala As the first daughter of King Gid and Queen Sephie of Deviluke, Lala was born the first princess of the planet Deviluke. She has two known siblings, the twins Nana and Momo, whom she is very close to. As a child she was friends with the Memorze royal Run/Ren, though she seemed to prefer Run, who she used to unknowingly torment. She is known to have a rather pleasant relationship with her father, as she warmly recalled to Rito of a time that she was lost in the forests of Deviluke and how her father found her and took her back to the palace on his back. It was not long after then that she built Peke, the costume robot which allowed her to fly and gave her a permanent friend to always be with. As the first princess and presumed eventual successor to the throne of Deviluke, it appears that she must marry so that both she and her spouse can rule together. As such, she was continuously presented with male suitors, all of whom she has turned down. When she finally couldn’t take it any longer, she escaped from her home, but some men chased her out of panic she warped to Earth so that she could have some freedom and temporary safety.
Powers and Abilities Devilukean/Charmian Hybrid Physiology: Being a hybrid between Devilukean and Charmian, Lala has gained capabilities of the two races. As a Devilukean descendant, Lala's physical abilities such as strength, power and speed are far greater than any known race, although overusing her power would cause her to change into a child-like form. She has also inherited some traits from her Charmian mother.
Page16 Lala firing a laser beam to Yami Superhuman Strength: Her physical strength (without any inventions or powers) is pure brute force to the point where one punch can cause a shockwave and create a small crater on a wall without making physical contact to it. Superhuman Speed: Lala has also shown to be able to run incredibly fast, such being able to run 100 meters in 10.9 seconds. Superhuman Durability: She has also shown to withstand heavy attacks with little to no injury. This also counts internally, as when she ate one of Run's really spicy sandwiches and it didn't even phase her. Devilukean Tail: She can fire laser beams from the tip of her tail. However, her tail is both her weapon and her weakness, for it is very sensitive. When someone touches Lala's tail, she becomes weak and seems to lose her strength (and perhaps has an erotic feeling), though she can shake anyone off of her tail by mustering enough strength. ToLoveRu v02 147 Lala vs. typhoon Sonic Scream: Lala has enough power in her breath to clear an entire sky. For example, when Japan was going to be hit with a very large typhoon, Lala went to the typhoon and screamed at it out of frustration for it ruining her plans with Rito. The result was enough force to blow away an entire typhoon away from Japan, which could even be seen from space. Enhanced Metabolism: A trait Lala inherits from her mother, no matter how much she eats, Lala can never gain weight or get any fatter. Genius-level Intelligence: Despite her childish personality, Lala's intellect is perhaps one of her most notable abilities, due to constantly creating extraordinary inventions and redesigning other material objects. Lala has been considered a genius since she was a child, even being able to disassemble war ships.
Swordsmanship: Lala has shown to be quite skilled in swordsmanship with the use of her almighty tool in sword form, as she is able to counter Yami's attacks until her sword breaks in Darkness chapter 43.
Equipment Inventions Main article: Lala Satalin Deviluke/Inventions Perhaps Lala's most distinguishing ability is being an extraordinary inventor. She is considered a genius and has made many inventions. However, Lala very much has the personality of both a perky child and an absent-minded scientist, resulting in all of her inventions being very toy-like, troublesome, mischievous, and causing unintentional fanservice. Another distinct feature is how incredibly fast she creates her inventions.
Quotes Ah, even though I have a tail, it doesn't mean I'll transform when I look at the full moon. Lala explaining her tail to Rito.

Lala creates a multitude of inventions throughout the whole series. Most of them are seemingly childish and toy-like with some of them having no original purpose aside from having fun. Her inventions seem to have a black swirl logo with four points, one on top, one below and one on each side, it's unknown if this symbol is unique to whatever Lala creates or if it is common on her planet. A running gag in the plot is that her inventions usually do not work as well as Lala and the others had hoped, often resulting into a perverted accident. A list of some of her inventions that are given by name and their functions (and also the downsides to them) are as follows:
Peke
Lala's most important invention, a sentient costume robot that can transform itself into clothes for Lala to wear, or repair and modify other clothes, and grow wings so that Lala can fly, and serves as Lala's advisor. Peke is one of the few of Lala's inventions that causes the least trouble, especially to Rito, but there are times when it does happen (To Love-Ru Chapter 39). Ironically, Peke would cause more trouble for Lala herself than for other people, as more than a few times, Peke's depleted energy, distraction, or untimely removal would leave Lala completely naked. Interestingly, Lala names almost all of her inventions with the honorific "-kun", while she almost never uses honorifics for actual living people, not even for Peke, who is both her own character and Lala's invention.
The "Clothes Robber" Pyon-Pyon Warp-Kun:
Lala's earliest and perhaps most infamous invention. This bracelet-like invention allows any living person (or "unit" as used by Lala) to warp a short distance to a random destination, as the user cannot specify the destination. Lala explained that it would only be used in emergency situations, such as being chased. After the ring is used once, it takes a full day to recharge its power for use again. Another infamous drawback is that Warp-kun can only warp living things and not anything artificial, including their clothes, meaning that if the person warps to a random place, they will be completely naked. Later in To Love-Ru Darkness, when it is used by Rito and Tearju to escape from the Principal, it has apparently been upgraded just enough to warp them with their socks.
D-Dial:
Like a regular phone, she can use it to call other people. But unlike a normal phone, it uses dimensional technology that contains her inventions, which she uses to "call" them. She has made copies for her sisters, Nana and Momo, who use them to call animals and plants, respectively. When a D-Dial malfunctions, it has been shown to randomly summon objects from the user's virtual space into the real world.
A home within a home Space Distortion:
Lala built her own house and laboratory, roughly the same size as the Yuuki house, but actually existing within the household itself through spatial distortion. Even within her D-Dial, which she uses to access her stored inventions. V Go Go Vacuum-Kun:
This invention works just like a vacuum; it sucks things into itself. However, the power of this vacuum is so great that it has the potential to suck up anything in its path. It was later destroyed, so Lala invented another one called Go-Go Vacuum-Kun 2. Wings Anti Gravity wing system
It is an invention that can give the user a pair of devilish wings and allow them to fly. Peke probably has it inside her, which is why she can fly. The appearance of this device is invisible.
Almighty Tool:
Also known as the All Purpose Tool, this is a wand-like device that Lala uses to quickly build a new invention wherever she is, or to modify and upgrade any old Earth object into another of her inventions. The devilish wings on the sides can make a lighter to start a campfire, or they can come together to form a long blade, turning it into a sword. Baseball bat Bum Bum Bat-Kun
An ordinary baseball bat at first, but after Lala modified it with her Almighty Tool, it now has three hidden rockets for extra power when hitting the ball, but the power is so great that it sends the bat flying along with it's user who still has a grip on it.
Trace Sniff-Sniff Trace-Kun:
A robot dog that can sniff out anything with a scent. However, it has a tendency to wander off when it smells something else that has a nice smell, such as girls' panties.
Splash Slosh-Slosh Warp-Kun:
A toilet-like machine that warps a creature to another planet by "flushing" them down the machine. It seems to work just like Pyon Pyon Warp-kun, as it transports a living thing to a random place, but the creature still has their clothing and it does not need a whole day to recharge.
Wave Splish Splash wave-Kun:
A turtle shaped machine that creates waves on a swimming pool. However, it causes panic when it creates a huge whirlpool in the center and could send people flying.
Paku Paku Eater-Kun Chomp-Munchy Eater-Kun:
A dinosaur-like device that (as the name suggests) eats anything in Lala's choosing. It was first used when Lala wanted it to eat away a typhoon but it got blown away.
Deru-Deru Vision-Kun:
A small machine that projects life-like images of ghosts, which Lala used during her class' Kimodameshi (test of courage). This invention was damaged (when Haruna threw Rito at it, out of fear) and later exploded.
Shoes Easy-Easy Runner-Kun:
Shoes that make the user run incredibly fast but the shoes function on their own so the user has no control over the speed and direction of them.
Berserker Spray Berserker DX Modified Version Spray Type-Kun:
A spray used to try to cheer up Rito but he dodged it and accidentally hit some mice, causing the mice to become very aggressive and perverted, as they began to bite students and go up girls skirts.
Gooey Sticky-Gooey Launcher-Kun:
A huge cannon like gun that shoots a really sticky goo substance. It was first used by Lala on her first battle with Yami but misses her and hits Rito's face instead.
Grabber Grabby-Grabby Hand-Kun:
A claw like invention that extends its to grab certain objects or people. This was also used against Yami by Lala in their first battle, it was less effective as Yami kept dodging it.
Rope Spinny-Spunny Rope-Kun:
A long metal rope like device with a heart shape part on each end. It is used to tie around certain objects really tightly and is incredibly hard to break free from (except for Yami who was able to cut her self free). This invention is mainly use for packing, but it can be really embarrassing if it wear to get tangled onto a girls body. Lala created a second version called Wind-Wind Rope-Kun 2.
Change Round Maru-Maru Change-Kun:
A Machine that switches the bodies of two people. This invention has only been used three times in the manga; the first was when Lala switched Rito and a stray dog; then Lala switched bodies with Haruna; lastly Yami and Mikan switched bodies for a day. A smaller version of this called the Round Round Change-Kun Revised Beta Edition was accidentally used in a recent chapter to switch Rito and Haruna's bodies for several hours. This version had a timer. A similar version of this too was used by Nana and Momo to switch with each other to secretly see if Rito would be attracted to someone like Nana who has really small breasts.
Memory Bye-Bye Memory-Kun:
An invention that resembles a short joy stick with a button on top with two small wings beside it, it's purpose is to wipe certain events from people's minds. Lala used it to wipe any memory of herself from everyone on Earth after she canceled the engagement with Rito to start over, however this had no effect at all on anyone except for Zastin, who lost all of his memories.
Badge Peke Badge Express:
A badge with a similar face of Peke but different shaped, it's either heart shaped with spiral eyes or diamond with heart shaped eyes. Also like Peke, it can change the users clothing when wearing it, but it can only contain data from one pair of clothing. The two possibly attract each other like magnets.
Pyon-Pyon Warp-Kun Deluxe Pyon-Pyon Warp-Kun DX:
A modified version of the original Warp-Kun and it can transport several people with their clothing, but unfortunately when it teleports someone, the machine itself stays where it is, making the teleportation a one-way trip, perhaps stranding the passengers at their destination.
Swim-Swim Dolphin-Kun Swim-Swim Dolphin-Kun/Jet Dolphin-Kun:
A talking robotic dolphin that was used for Yui to ride on the water (who couldn't swim) but she couldn't control the speed, the direction or whoever it hit.
Sui-Sui Board-Kun Sui-Sui Board-Kun:
An ironboard shaped machine that hovers of the ground and has a tremendous speed (too much in fact for humans to handle).
Snow Kon-Kon Snow-Kun:
A huge fox like machine that hovers to the sky and controls the weather by making it snow. However, after a while, it creates a terrible snow storm because Lala forgot to turn it off.
Bath Horibiro-Bath Time-Kun:
A device put next to the door of a bathroom and turns the whole room into a huge public bath.
Pai-Pai Rocket-Kun:
Pai-Pai Rocket-kun was (inexplicably) a rocket that was supposed to change Lala's breasts to perfect proportions. When Rito unwillingly crashed into it, it was destroyed, but not without turning Rito into a girl.
Cancel Ammo Launcher-Kun Cancel Ammo Launcher-Kun:
It look like a rocket launcher that can cancel the effects of other devices.
Koro Koro Danjo-Kun Koro Koro Danjo-Kun:
A gun-like machine that can change a boy into a girl. It has a time limit so it can be embarrassing when a girl changes back into a boy in public.
Glasses Suke Suke Goggle-Kun:
A pair of glasses that Lala uses to look inside her inventions. Apparently, it can also look through other people's clothes and see their undergarments and there is a dial on the side, when turned the user can see others naked completely. It can attach itself onto the user so can be hard to take off.
Slapping-Firework-Kun Slapping-Firework-Kun:
A round bomb with a fuse on top. When lit and thrown to the sky, it creates a huge firework display. This was used to send Lacospo flying and going out with a bang (literally)!
Umpaka-Kun Umapaka-Kun:
A robotic horse that by riding on it the user will lose weight, unfortunately it was to fast to withstand and the user will lose too much weight and become too skinny.
Flap Flap-Haitastu-Kun:
A huge robot messenger bird that can even carry an actual person and fly off somewhere, Lala apparently forgot that she left it carrying Rito while flying for hours. It also lacks attention span. And when Rito told it to put him down, it dropped him while still airborne.
Glue Clingy-Clingy Glue-Kun:
A device that turns any two objects or body parts into powerful magnets that attract each other. It can trouble just holding it.
Boobie-Boobie Up-Kun Boobie-Boobie Up-Kun:
A small device practically in the shape of a breast with a cute face on it which is to increase the size of a females breasts. It was used to grow Nana's breast when it exploded, which it did but it also decreased Momo's due to being too close. However this invention was still a prototype and incomplete so the effects for both of them wear off after a short while.
Mira Mira Show-Kun Miru Miru Shorts-Kun:
A wand like device with an angel-like figure on top wearing panties on it's head. The purpose of this invention was to turn Rito into a pair of panties to be worn by Mikan to see what might be bothering her. While like this Rito can still move on his own and sweat, there is also a time limit so it can also be really embarrassing to change back in public, especially without any clothes on.
Hoop Gone-Gone Hoop-Kun:
Lala created yet another teleportation device, a hoop that by going throw it the user will be warped into some random location, but with the same flaw as Pyon-Pyon Warp-Kun as it also teleports people almost completely naked.
Animal Animal Change-Kun:
Small invention that somehow changes someone into a random animal, there is a time limit so that the person that was transformed into an animal will turn back but possibly without clothes.
Gogo Vacuum-Kun A Go Go Vacuum-Kun A:
An invention that resembles an anglerfish with the same capabilities as the original Go-Go Vacuum-Kun which Lala created at school when Celine turn over a garbage bin and used it to clean up the mess with the scanner on its head to detect nearby trash. When this invention was destroyed, it is revealed that it was powered by a micro black hole.
Hard Hard Kacchin-Kun Hard Hard Kacchin-Kun:
A spray that can instantly cool and solidify liquid or viscous objects. Used by Lala during the fight against Yami in Darkness form.
Slippery Slippery Slip-Kun Slippery Slippery Slip-Kun:
A bomb that turn pavement smooth as icing and who stand above will slip. Used by Lala during the fight against Yami in Darkness form.
Bubbly-Bubbly Soap-kun Bubbly-Bubbly Soap-kun:
A litle mecha that produce foam with tiny bubbles to wash while bathing.
Nyan Nyan Copy-Kun:
A cat robot that can make a clone of anything.
Nugi Nugi Changing Clothes-Kun Nugi Nugi Changing Clothes-Kun:
A robot that can remove automatically the clothes of the user. Anime Only
Deru-Deru Mizuzou-Kun Deru-Deru Mizuzou-Kun:
An invention which look like a purple elefant. Its function is to throw out water from its interior through its tusk with a great power that is favorable to the great pressure that is capable to wield.
Chilly Chilly-Chilly Container-Kun:
An invention similar to a huge ice cooler, it is used to store food inside and keep it fresh. This invention also has space distortion so it is a lot bigger on the inside to contain large-sized and large amounts of food in it. In the anime, it was shown containing a giant octopus, a giant squid, a giant lobster and a giant worm like creature that destroys a large part of the school.
Doggy Bow-Bow Doggie-Kun:
A dog-like invention that is used as a guard dog to attack anyone suspicious. Unfortunately it attacks almost anyone in sight (especially Saki) and rips their clothes off with its teeth, leaving the person naked.
Racket QQ-Service Ace-Kun:
Similer to Buzzing Bat-Kun, this invention is a sports equipment with built-in rocket thrusts on, instead of baseball bat, its a tennis racket.

Kanji ペケ Rōmaji Peke Planet Deviluke Hair Color None As a girl: Pink Eye Color Big black swirls As a girl: Pink Personal Status Education Programmed Occupation Lala's companion and wardrobe Relatives Lala Satalin Deviluke (creator) Unusual Features -Robot -Form change (into clothes) -Form change (into a girl)
Peke is Lala's all-costume robot, who acts as a module to form her clothing. Peke is exceptionally devoted to her creator, Lala, and is her most constant companion. She is almost always seen on Lala's head, as a hair pin and acts as her portable wardrobe.
Peke was often referred to as a boy in early manga chapters, until she revealed her ability to transform into a human-like girl.[1]
Appearance Peke is a small robot, and her body is almost completely white. She has a round head with two thick swirl shaped black eyes (x shaped when out of power and dash shaped when sleeping or inactive). She has no visible mouth or nose.
Peke can be easily mistaken for a toy by some kids, so to avoid this, she somehow is able to turn into a human-like girl with similar clothing and with robot disc-shaped hair brooches on her head.
Personality Peke is loyal to Lala, but she can also be quite helpful towards others who are friends to Lala, such as fixing their clothes, and helping Mikan recover her bag from a robber by enabling her to fly in costume form. Peke is generally polite, addressing people with the respectful honorific "-dono". She is often a quick thinker, reminding Lala about scheduled events, (mostly Television and such), helping Rito understand her behavior on their walk home through body language and helping in small time crises. However, she can also be quite blunt about what she thinks of other people.
Powers and Abilities Peke's most distinct ability is to transform into any type of clothing for Lala to wear and does so by scanning other people's clothes. During costume transformation and even as clothing she still controls it's movements. Her head would appear as a small pin somewhere on Lala, mostly as her hairpin. If this pin gets hit, Peke randomly changes into a different set of clothes or if she comes off, the clothes disappear leaving Lala completely naked.
Attire Transmogrification: Peke's most notable clothing is her "Dress Form", which basicly resembles Peke's regular appearance, with her head as a huge hat with devilish wings on the sides. Peke also has the ability to repair its own and other people's clothes, modify their them or completely transform their clothing into whatever clothing she has saved in her file, without dressing Peke herself. She can run out of energy when she transforms for long periods, and runs out even faster by doing too many transformations simultaneously, and when she does, the clothes wither and fade (also leaving the user naked) and Peke falls asleep to recharge. Peke also mentioned that it can be tiring when transformed as clothes for too long. Scanner: Peke has a scanner in her to scan others clothing, saving in her memory file and transform into that said clothing whenever. It can also be used on other things such as fruits to see if they are edible. Flight: She has an Anti-gravity wing system that makes her grow devilish wings and enables her to float and fly. Peke can also use these wings as limbs to stretch out and grab certain objects or to change others clothing while as a hairpin. Human Transformation: Peke can also transform into a human form, taking the appearance of a young human-like girl, dressed in her defult white clothes. Some of these abilities are accessable to whoever wears Peke.
Relationships with Other Characters Lala Satalin Deviluke As Lala is her creator, it goes without saying that Peke is greatly loyal and obedient to Lala. Peke is Lala's most constant companion, and has been with her since her creation and when Lala ran away from home. While Peke considers Lala as a great person, admired for her beauty and intelligence, and finds any suitor unworthy of her, Peke is still aware of some of Lala's eccentricities. She questions Lala's judgement in choosing Rito as her fiancé, and her childish attempts at getting closer to him. And she says that despite being one of the greatest geniuses in the galaxy, most of Lala's inventions turn out to be toys or pranks.
Peke sometimes gives Lala advice about certain things like her relationship with Rito, like saying to her that it's not enough to keep her feelings aside for the moment and advices her to be more direct with Rito.
Yūki Rito Peke does not think very highly of Rito as the fiancé of her Lala-sama. Though she doesn't particularly hate or tolerate Rito, at first, she finds him quite dull, dorky and unreliable, bluntly saying so, and encouraged Lala to think more seriously about who she chooses to marry. As time passed, though it's not clear what she now thinks of Rito, Peke at least stopped worrying about Lala marrying Rito, and congratulated Lala when Rito confessed his love for her. It's possible that Peke no longer sees Rito as she did before, respects Lala's choice in choosing him and supports their relationship (even Lala's idea of adding Haruna to it) to the point that she's willing to share Lala's secrets and childhood with him to get them closer.

Momo Belia Deviluke is Nana's twin, as well as Lala's younger sister. As Gid's daughter, she holds the title of "Third Princess of Deviluke" as she is the youngest out of his three daughters. In To Love-Ru, she used to be seen with Nana all the time, but in To Love-Ru Darkness, they are not together as often as before. This is because while Nana became friends with Kurosaki Mea, whom she hangs out with more often, Momo becomes more attached to Rito and focuses on expanding "The Harem Plan" she has for him.
Appearance Momo has short pink hair and purple eyes. In the To LOVE-Ru manga, Momo's hair was frizzy, but in the beginning of To LOVE-Ru Darkness she straightened her hair out in hopes that Rito would see her as more mature. She also has two small flowers on her hair. Like all Devilukeans, Momo has a long black tail at her back, and like her sisters, she has a spade-shaped tail end. Momo also has a bigger bust than Nana, which the latter sometimes envies. When Momo turns into "evil Momo", she acquires a short fang similar to Nana's except that Nana's fang is on her left side while Momo's is on her right side. Her pupils also become thinner and pointed.
According to the official databook, Momo's measurements were B78-W54-H78 in the original manga. In To LOVE-Ru: Darkness, the Venus Momo Club members estimated her measurements to be B80-W54-H79 which is later confirmed[1].
Personality While other characters would describe her as sweet, kindhearted and innocent, the real Momo is above all else highly perverted, a side of herself which she doesn't show to others much, with the exception of Rito, whom she loves and lusts for. She often fantasizes perverted situations with Rito even if it's him with another girl, and desires for him to become sexually active towards her. Sometimes, whenever Momo gets caught up in the moment of imagining an ecchi situation with Rito and some other girl, she has a tendency to drool. She often sneaks into his bed at night half naked to sleep with him because, in his sleep, he becomes much more frisky and physically active than he is aware of. She is essentially the complete polar opposite of Rito Yuuki.
She seems to enjoy physical pleasure so much that it's difficult to determine whether or not she is mistaking lust for love. One of the main reasons that she fell in love with Rito is because she loves his unintentional lustful tendencies which he shows when asleep. She doesn't care if she is not Rito's favorite lover, and is perfectly satisfied being one of many partners, and hopes that Rito's other love interests are also as willing to compromise and share their love for Rito. She even tempted Rito with an offer of his own "flower garden of girls". Nonetheless, whatever way she interprets love, she at least takes it seriously. She is not willing to show her lustful side to anyone or be groped by anyone except Rito. She turned down the chance to be accidentally kissed by Rito in his sleep, wanting to receive a kiss from him only when he wants to.
However, after her mother visits her and questions her if her heart is fine with her plan, Momo begins to see her own Harem Plan in a more logical perspective. While she convinces herself that she would be perfectly content with being a part of Rito's harem, she is now showing obvious signs of reluctance and doubting if she would be truly happy with sharing Rito with all of the other girls.
She is very caring towards plants, due to her ability to communicate with them, and treats them as her friends and should the situation be fit to their abilities, her tools and weapons. In fact she notes one of the reasons she fell for Rito was his kindness towards Celine and the plants in his garden, after which she only progressively falls deeper in love with him, which gradually goes from teasing him, to sleeping in his bed, to conducting the Harem Plan all to secure her place beside him.
Momo is also known for her haraguro tendencies, which some characters who truly know her would describe to be the real Momo. She is generally sweeter than her twin sister, but develops a bad attitude whenever Nana takes credit for something they do. She also shows a darker and more sinister side of herself whenever her friends are in trouble, and she becomes more mischievous and hostile. Some examples of this are when Nana and Yami were in trouble on Planet Mistletoe, when the VMC planned to beat up Rito, and when Yami, Mikan and Rito were threatened by Azenda. People have generally stated that Momo becomes very scary when this occurs. Momo calls this her battle state, a state which Yami and Mea have noted that she has a tremendous amount of bloodlust.
Although she can be rather perverse and even selfish with her desires on occasions, she is still a very kind person to those she cares about and is willing to do anything to make them happy, including helping Rito choose more than one woman when he obviously cares about so many. Many of her perverted antics, while also being for her own enjoyment, are more often than not done to titillate and arouse Rito out of love and lust at the same time. She's even willing to go to the extent of being absolutely protective over others, like when she made it her current goal at a time to make sure Rito wasn't harmed by Yami, and threatening the VMC to let Rito go and apologize to him after beating him up and promising to do worse.
Momo occasionally fiddles with her hair when thinking over important situations concerning either Nemesis or her Harem plan, which she would seem very serious about.
Like Rito, she also has an interest in playing video games, most notably when buying love sim games for ideas for her "harem plan".
History Ever since childhood, Momo and Nana always argued. Whenever they fight, their older sister, Lala, would always arrange ways for them to make up, and for Zastin not to be angry with them. An example of this is when they were children, and Momo and Nana were fighting, but Lala caused her inventions to run amok then asked for Momo and Nana's help to catch them, so that Momo and Nana will work together, and Zastin would scold Lala instead.
At some point, Momo travelled through space and met tons of plants she befriended due to her ability to talk to them.
Powers and abilities Momo TLRD EP4 04 Momo's Canon Flower. Devilukean/Charmain Hybrid Physiology: Like all Devilukeans, Momo physical abilities are incredibly strong. Momo also has a hidden side to her known as "Evil Momo" (which she calls it her "battle mode"), in this state she has tremendous bloodlust, making her dangerous in battle. Despite her true power hasn't been shown in any battle yet, Nana seems to be scared of this side of Momo. Yami and Nemesis are also aware of her hidden power.
However, her most notable ability is communicating with all plant life. It is revealed that this is a result of being of Charmian descent.
Superhuman Strength: as a Devilukean, Momo possesses incredible strength. TLRD V6 CH24 P143 Tail shot. Devilukean Tail: She also has the ability to fire lightning out from the tip of her tail, when using this ability in tandem with with Nana's, it creates an even more powerful lighting shot. Like her sisters, Momo also becomes weak whenever someone touches her tail (however, given her personality, she apparently enjoys it as it has an erotic feeling to it). Botanical Communication: An ability unique only to Momo. She shares a connection to plant life since she was born, being able to communicate with them. Expert Xenobotanist and Horticulturalist: Momo's ability to understand plant life allows her to become an expert botanist. She understands the biology and chemistry of most plant life in the galaxy, and the abilities and effects of their spores, pollens and other characteristics. She maintains her own interplanetary garden, which she is able to access through her d-dial phone to call any of her plants and use their abilities for varying purposes, including combat. Intelligence: Momo also has a great intellect and an aptitude with her sister Lala's technology, like creating the virtual world video game Trouble Quest, programming a cyber safari for Nana, and generating an invisible barrier. In terms of technology, she is not as smart as Lala, but far more than Nana. She is especially knowledgeable with the biology of most plant-life in the galaxy.
Acting: She's also proven to be a very good actress, managing to fool Rito while in Nana's body that 'Nana' was attracted to him and wanted make sure he liked her despite her breast size. Most notably, she manages to trick everyone into thinking she is a sweet and innocent girl.
Equipment Momo TLRD EP3 02 Momo's Anti-Gravity Wings and D-Dial. D-Dial: An invention with the same functions as a regular phone, however her D-Dial is capable of summoning plants and fruits that she has met through out space, whenever she needs them from an interplanetary botanical garden.
Anti-Gravity Wing System: A small chip placed at the back of most of her clothes that gives her a pair of devilish wings on the back to enable flight. This is an invention made by Lala.
Laptop: Momo has a unique Laptop, which is what she used to create a virtual space for the game Trouble Quest and the Cyber Safari for her plants and Nana's animals. It can also change the scenery through a window like making seem like it's raining.
Transmutational Barrier Generator: A device that creates a huge force field, big enough to contain a whole house.

Due to Momo's ability to communicate with plants, she has befriended plants from all across space and kept them as her pets. Her D-Dial is invented by Lala, for summoning plants wherever she is from her Cyber Garden, a virtual space that she created where she keeps her plants.
Carnivorous Plant: Unnamed plant that appears in chapter 112 for capturing Ranjula. Shibarisugi: A monstrous tree from planet Okiwana. Unlike normal trees, it has a face with red eyes a mouth and has lots of roots that can be used as tentacles. it was used against Zastin to grab him. Watermelon of Planet Uri: A huge sentient watermelon with arms, legs and a mouth from the planet Melon, it spits out watermelon juice and seeds from its mouth and controls its roots like tentacles. It was used for the game "Watermelon Splitting". and it didn't seem to mind being eaten as Momo stated it takes pride in his flavor, however, everyone found it too creepy, which upsets it, causing it to retaliate on the main cast. In the end, it was cut up by Yami and eaten by some of the characters. Adrena Flower: A flower that increases excitement, it was used on the Principal for Rito and Yui not to part ways. Rain Flower: A sunflower like flower that pours rain, it was used for Rito and Yui to run to Rito's house. Aphrodisiac Flower: Momo mentions that she has this type of flower however it is currently unseen. As the name suggests, it probably stimulates ones sexual desire, although Momo said it's only temporary. Jikido Flower: A flower that changes the personality of anyone who smells it, Celine used it when she summoned allot of flowers from Momo's D-Dial and Rito accidentally smelled it which altered his personality (turning him to an actual pervert). Kenja Flower: A flower that heals the effect of the Jikido flower, it was used by Momo for Rito to turn to normal from smelling the Jikido Flower. It can also be used as a calming agent. Cannon Flower: A flower from planet Juda and a species of garden balsam, it's huge and has a mouth which shoots fist size seeds. It was used when Momo protected Rito and Yami from Azenda. Black Rose: A black rose from planet Zelas that paralyzes the body and disrupts the concentration of the person. It was used when Momo protected Rito and Yami from Azenda. Dazuul Seed: Seeds that instantly grow when pressed against some physical force and wrap around anything or anyone within its reach, although it seems to molest girls private parts when caught in it. Momo seems to sense when they start growing. Rainbow Rose: Multi-colored roses that shine all sorts of different colors of a rainbow, Momo states that they are very rare even in space. Milkea Flower: A plant then secretes a white nectar that maintains the beauty of skin and also soothes fatigue. Momo used this plant when she and Rito shared "ghost stories" with Nemesis. Chucchu Weed: A mass of giant vine tentacles with lips. It absorbs nutrients by using its lips to suck body secretions from any close by lifeform. Momo accidentally summons this plant while trying to get Rito and Kyouko into a romantic situation. Philings Flower: A beautiful flower which has pink-coloured petals. Most of the flower tends to be withered before flowering. Anime Only Celine: While still in her original plant form, Celine was summoned by Momo as one of her temporary plants in the fourth OVA. Sugitani: A huge sentient tree with a face on it from the planet Cedar. It produces a certain pollon that whoever breathes it in will act freely and express their hidden desires. Evidently Devilukeans seem to be immune to its effects, although it had no effect on Rito what so ever, this could be due to him already being honest with himself, any other reason if any is unknown. The tree seems to have perverted desires as when it breathed it himself, it started molesting Nana and Momo.

Nana Astar Deviluke is the twin of Momo and the younger sister of Lala. She is the second princess of Deviluke. She has the ability to talk to and understand animals. Of all the main female characters, she has shown the least attraction to Rito, considering him to be a "beast". Nevertheless, she has shown a slight affection for Rito, with the idea that she tried to sleep with him in his bed. In To Love-Ru she was seen with Momo all the time, but in To Love-Ru Darkness they are not together as often as before. This is because while Momo becomes more attached to Rito, Nana has become friends with Kurosaki Mea, with whom she hangs out more often. Although Mea is a transformation weapon and has difficulty accepting the idea of friendship, she eventually becomes more open with her feelings for others through her friendship with Nana.
Appearance Nana has long pink hair and violet eyes. In both To LOVE-Ru and To LOVE-Ru Darkness, Nana usually wears her hair in pigtails on the sides of her head. She sometimes loosens the pigtails such as after bathing or when wearing casual clothes.
Like all Devilukeans, Nana has a long black tail on her back, and like her sisters, she has a spade-shaped tail tip. Nana also has a smaller chest than Momo, which Momo teases her about. When Nana fights, her pupils become thinner and more pointed. Another interesting note is that she has a pointed fang on the left side of her upper teeth, making her the only Devilukean princess to have a pointed fang in her mouth.
Nana wears a unique outfit consisting of a black collar with yellow ornamentation, a sleeveless dress with sleeves reaching down to her armpits, thigh-high socks with black and red stripes, and black shoes. The outfit generally features black and red colors, as opposed to her twin sister, Momo, whose outfit features black and green colors.
She wears the Sainan High uniform when she attends classes. In the early chapters of To Love-Ru Darkness, she also wears black socks and the yellow vest like Momo and other students, but later she does not wear the vest over the uniform and changes her socks to white, loose and shorter.
Personality Nana to Rito You Beast!
Nana seems short-tempered, impatient, and somewhat tomboyish, much unlike her twin sister, Momo. But underneath her brash, overactive, and angry behavior, Nana is actually very kind, helpful, cheerful, and even adorable. She has an open, sincere, and somewhat childlike side that cherishes her friendship very much, which also makes her easily heartbroken when those relations were ever lost or betrayed, such as with Mea, whom she considers her first true and intimate friend.
Despite her tomboyish personality and temper, Nana has the vague charm that has even impressed some of the most mindless of individuals. Mea is an excellent example of this; When Nana was talking about how the two birds were going to fly west, Mea was astonished and amused when she found out that Nana could talk to animals, being fully accepting of this odd trait. Before, Mea has been just a mindless being that was sent to Earth. Before she met Nana, Mea was following Nemesis's orders without question. Thanks to Nana's "charm", Mea has opened up her mind and has become best friends with Nana.
She can be very brave whenever her friends are in trouble, such as when she risks her own life just to save Haruna and her dog, when Mea is trying to scare her away, or when a little monkey is about to get hit by a truck.
Nana hates to be teased by Momo because of her flat chest. While Momo possesses a developed figure similar to their elder sister and mother, Nana is far less developed and is very sensitive about her breasts. Momo passively and playfully teases her about it, but Nana occasionally becomes upset and even hurt about it. She has also been described as something of 'uncareful', as she was apparently the kind of child who would often break her toys by mistake, and even still manages to get most of her belongings, and sometimes other people's, disjointed or improperly used.
Nana apparently dislikes anything lewd and impure, mostly referring to Rito and calling him a beast because of his bad habits. However, she initially didn't know what sexual intercourse actually was, often thinking about how baby animals kept showing up on her virtual safari. After being told of the process, her reaction became a source of teasing for Mea. Originally, Nana was one of the few girls who didn't have any feelings for Rito, but eventually, his kindness starts to grow on her, as he helped her rebuild her friendship with Mea and hugged her in the process, which she remembered felt very good. Because of this, Nana has developed complex feelings when it comes to Rito. Sometimes when she is denying something, she makes a certain outburst, mostly involving Rito, meanwhile, her pigtails seem raised. She becomes extremely jealous when a girl approaches to him and if Momo teases her by telling her she loves him, she gets angry and denies it, which reflects her tsundere character.
Nana slightly matures over the series, as pointed out by Momo, and grudgingly notes that Nana might be surpassing her. When Lala was attempting to kiss Rito, Nana advises her that Rito has some complicated thing he needs to deal with first before the kiss. This shows that Nana has some concern over how Rito might be feeling. And because she avoids and denies love most of the time, she has taken more time to think about and examine her own feelings more carefully, which gives her a better understanding of how Rito feels about his complicated relationships at the present, and she may understand love better than even Momo. She does, however, think that couples are supposed to kiss AFTER they are married.
Even so, she does seem to be quite shy and graceful at times in necessary, most likely due to being educated as a princess.
In Nana's past, she tended to make her unique way other than ordinary means. This can be seen in her artistic skills which do not seem very good. Because of her attitude to neglect learning in the lessons, she went to a, unique way to develop her own style.
She is very caring towards animals due to her ability to talk to them.
History Ever since childhood, Nana and Momo always argued. Whenever they fight, their older sister, Lala, would always arrange ways for them to make up, and for Zastin not to be angry with them. An example of this is when they were children, and Nana and Momo were fighting, but Lala caused her inventions to run amok then asked for Nana and Momo's help to catch them, so that Nana and Momo will work together, and Zastin would scold Lala instead.
At some point, Nana traveled through space and met tons of animals she befriended due to her ability to talk to them.
Powers and Abilities Devilukean/Charmian Hybrid Physiology: Like all Devilukeans, Nana's physical skills are greater than any known race. Her's in particular, because Nana can be very athletic, as she is very good at sports, even being asked to join Sainan High's swimming club. Nana also possesses the Devilukean's super strength and their bloodlust, making her very dangerous in battle. However, her most notable ability is communicating with all animal life, it is revealed that this is a result of having Charmian descendants from her mother mixed with her Devilukean blood.
Superhuman Strength: As a Devilukean, Nana possesses incredible strength, even able to throw an actual person (often Rito) a great distance. Nana Tail attack v2 Devilukean Tail: Like her sisters, she also has the ability to shoot lightning out from the tip of her tail, when using this ability in tandem with with Momo's, it creates an even more powerful lighting shot. Also like her sisters, Nana also becomes weak whenever someone touches her tail. This weakness is usually taken advantage of by Momo whenever they get into fight. Intelligence: Nana is not the smartest, but she is knowledgeable of animals in the galaxy. Interestingly, she has a degree of intelligence, such as understanding Rito's feelings. Zoolingualism: An ability unique only to Nana. She shares a connection to animal life since she was born, being able to communicate with them, though this doesn't seem to be the case with animals with low intellect. Expert Xenoecologist: Compared to both her sisters (and perhaps most characters), Nana is the least smart in comparison, even in Earth history. However, she is an expert on most animal biodiversity in the galaxy. She is very knowledgeable in the habitats and lifestyles of many species in the galaxy, and is able to customize and maintain the ecosystem in her cyber safari so that all her different pets from various alien sources can co-exist together. Strangely, she was unaware of where babies come from until recently. Strong Will Power: She has great willpower since she is the only person able to resist Mea's Psycho Dive which is shown twice. Equipment Nana MTLR EP4 01 Nana summoning an animal from her D-Dial. Gid Lucione Deviluke is the king of the planet Deviluke and Emperor of the Milky Way Galaxy, Gid is the father of Lala, Nana, and Momo and husband of Sephie Michaela Deviluke. He serves as the primary antagonist of the first season of the series.
Appearance Gid's Army Gid during the war Gid has red eyes and spiky black hair. In his introduction, he had the physical appearance of a child, looking slightly devilish, with shark-like teeth and the characteristic Devilukean tail in the shape of a trident. Due to overusing his powers during the "Galaxy Unification Wars", he apparently shrunk down to the size of a child.
After he is restored to his adult physique, he is a lot older and taller, but still very youthful, appearing like a young man.
Personality Gid's personality is an ambiguous one. For most of his appearance in the manga, Gid appears to be very spoiled, bratty and perverted, going as far as to use his child-like appearance to get close to pretty girls. He is also quite strict and demanding towards his daughters, often having them do things for his own benefit rather than out of love for them. Lala claims the only reason he wants her to get married is so he can relinquish the throne and be free to pursue his perverted hobbies.
In the manga, he seems more easygoing and is much more accepting of Rito as his heir. While in the anime, he is much more critical of Rito and even attacks him, saying that Rito is not suitable for Lala. He can be a little reasonable, however, giving Rito a chance to prove himself so that the Earth wouldn't be destroyed. He hasn't shown any perverted intentions at all, yet still proves to be demanding and spoiled. In both the manga and the anime, Gid is mostly a very self-righteous and arrogant individual, surrounding himself with cups of wine and other luxuries as opposed to truly ruling anything as he should.
Gid is a highly pompous and pampered individual, but at the same time is more than capable of taking matters into his own hands and solving problems as he sees fit, ranging from ending all wars in the galaxy to going out into the woods to find Lala when she was lost as a child. His true nature is quite unclear, but it has been hinted at numerous times that, beneath his callous and even vindictive exterior, he's a caring and devoted man.
In his introduction, he is bossy yet easygoing and wouldn't be bothered to do any responsibility himself. However, when confronted by an enemy, Gid is supremely confident and commanding. He shows that he is willing to spare his enemy's life if they bowed down, apologized to him, and spared him any further trouble, but not without establishing his place far above them, even if he has to demonstrate his power, a mere fraction of which easily supports his superiority.
When Gid regained his adult physique (after the effect of overusing too much energy that turned him into a kid), his personality seems to shift into more serious one. In this state, he still does not demonstrate being a loving father very much, but he has shown to be able to differentiate Momo from a shape-shifting Nemesis, saying "no father mistakes his own child". He is a bit, if not all, playful, and still afraid of Sephie's wrath. For all of his superiority over most other characters, his wife is the only person whom he does not want to make angry. He has also shown to be a reasonable and compromising man. He accepted Rito's reasoning when the latter allowed Nemesis to survive in his body and teach her to stop hurting others, as Gid smiled and said to Rito to "prove to me that you are a man", showing some degree of respect toward his pending son-in-law.
History Gid TLRD2 OVA2 01 Young Gid during his training. In his youth, Gid came to a planet for combat training, only to have saved Sephie from numerous men harassing her. After a rocky introduction afterwards, the two eventually fell in love, married and had three daughters.
During a time when much of the universe was in a constant state of war, it was Gid who led a vast alliance under his planet Deviluke and won the war. Afterwards, Gid had practically become king of much of the known universe, and together with Sephie as his queen, established order and peace throughout the universe, with Deviluke as a central capital. According to Zastin it took Gid ten years to end all conflicts spread throughout the universe.
However, after the war ended and peace established, Gid became much less serious as a king and appeared to spend much of his time with his hobbies, leaving most of the significant leadership duties to Sephie. With little commitment to his duties as a ruler, Gid spent some time, but little serious effort, seeking an heir for his throne by arranging his daughter, Lala, to meet various marriage suitors, most of whom happen to be complete jerks. Eventually, Lala ran away from home and fled to Earth, followed soon by her sisters, with Gid allowing them to stay in the Yuuki household for the time being.
Powers and Abilities Gid vs Sasuga Gid releasing power Devilukean Physiology: Not only is he a member of the Devilukean race (meaning his physical abilities are far greater than most other species), but he is also considered to be the most powerful of them all. He states himself to be able to destroy a whole planet by building up enough power within him (seemingly creating an electrical aura around him and the ground being cracked) and by releasing it. The result of his child-like state is the result of overusing his power.
Superhuman Strength: In his debut, he once showed his massive power when hitting the tennis ball to Sasuga's side at an incredible speed rate at a tennis practice, which makes him faint standing. In his youth, Gid was also described as powerful enough to shift planets from their orbit and collapse stars. Superhuman Speed: Gid can run, move and react at supersonic speeds. The exact limit of his speed is Mach 4 (3000 miles per hour). Superhuman Senses: Gid's senses are superhumanly sharp. His sense of smell allows him to detect people within 40 feet of himself and his hearing allows him to pick up heartbeats at a distance of over 20 feet and hear whispers from the other side of a soundproof wall. Devilukean Tail: Gid's devil-like tail can be used as a weapon. In combat, his tail is blindingly fast enough to relentlessly attack and endanger even the most powerful enemies, giving them too little time to retaliate or regenerate if they could. While all Devilukeans have the power to shoot energy from their tails, Gid's tail is so powerful that he can fire a huge energy wave that spans a very large width, several miles in length, and destroys anything in its path, leaving a huge trail deep in the ground and a city-sized explosion at the end. Powerful Combatant: Though little of his true power has been shown, Gid has shown to be so skilled in combat that he can fight confidently against a powerful opponent, using nothing but his tail as a weapon, easily dodging dozens of attacks at dangerously close range, and with his hands crossed. Relationships Daughters Gid is the father of Lala, Nana, and Momo, whom he can be quite demanding towards when they disobey his orders like running away from home. While his daughters love each other like family, there is little evidence that they also love him as a father, and equally little evidence that Gid really cares for his daughters. In their earlier childhood on Deviluke, Lala and her sisters appear to usually be left alone in their palace by their parents to play around, pull pranks, or study until they get bored.
Because Gid is quite bratty and spoiled, most of his choices regarding his daughters are usually for his own benefit rather than out of love for them. For example, he pushes Lala towards marriage until she decides to flee to Earth. In the manga, when Lala chose Rito as her groom, Gid gleefully pushed them towards their marriage, even already deciding on a wedding date, and threatened to destroy Earth if Rito does not agree. Lala knew that rather than truly respecting his daughter's choice, he's really only pushing their marriage so that he may step down as king and finally be free to fool around.
However, as like any father, Gid is a loving father, though this was not shown during most of his appearance. He found Lala when the latter is lost in a Deviluke forest, and he easily spot the "real" Momo from the shapeshifting Nemesis, saying "no father mistakes his own child".
Sephie Michaela Deviluke It is unknown exactly how his relationship with his wife is, especially considering his intention to step down from the throne to go around doing perverted things to other women. It is not unusual for kings of Deviluke to have concubines, but Gid uniquely has only his one wife instead. Sephie does love Gid a lot, being the one who protected her and first male to resist her charm.
She is described to be hardworking, more reliable and better at politics than Gid is, and their daughters seem to love and admire her a lot more than their father. Also, Sephie is the only person who manages to scare Gid, as Momo claims that not even he goes against his will for fear of incurring his wrath.
Sephie once told Momo that due to the fact that Gid was the only man who resist her charm and fallen in love with him and try be appealing to him but Gid pay no attention to her due to mainly interesting in fighting which result her to force herself on to him and remembered the embarrassed look on his face when she did.
Zastin Zastin is practically Gid's most loyal subject, and he respects him the most as the King of the planet Deviluke and Emperor of the entire Milky Way Galaxy. He is one of the bodyguards who protect the king's family members and would get mad at anyone if they disrespect any of them. Gid seems to disapprove of Zastin being a mangaka.
Yuuki Rito When Rito became engaged to Lala, Gid demanded that he would have to meet Gid's expectations to take care of her, otherwise he would destroy the Earth. He doesn't seem to care for him that much, like when he forced him to marry Lala for his own benefit to step down from the throne and fool around with other girls. However he does seem to trust him enough to take care of his daughters, as they all live within his house.
In his introduction in the manga, Gid was rather forceful of Rito to marry his daughter and become his successor. But after Lala used her invention, Bye-Bye Memory-Kun, to erase herself from the memories of everyone on Earth, it's difficult to determine how they now regard each other, even though the invention mostly failed.
In To Love Ru Darkness, Gid's body is restored to its original form, and it is revealed that he and Rito both still know each other, with Rito remembering meeting him in his child-like state. When Gid brutally defeats Nemesis to the point near death to end her acts of terrorism, Rito saves her by bravely standing up to Gid, convincing him to let Rito change her and even offering to die with her if she doesn't change. Rito expresses his willingness to go that far to save her as his responsibility as a man. Gid relents, now intrigued to see how Rito proves himself a true man.
In the manga, Gid doesn't take his role as king seriously, and wishes to dump the job soon. As of To Love Ru Darkness, it is unknown how Gid regards Rito as his heir and marriage candidate to Lala, but he continues to allow his daughters to live with Rito. But in the first anime series, he is much more critical and antagonistic toward Rito and puts him through challenges to prove himself so that Earth won't be destroyed. However, this is most likely to ensure that his throne is to be inherited by a worthy successor.

Sephie Michaela Deviluke is the mother of Lala Satalin Deviluke, Nana Astar Deviluke, and Momo Belia Deviluke. She is the Queen of planet Deviluke and a decendent of an alien race known as Charmians.
In To LOVE-Ru Darkness chapter 49, worried by the fact that Lala has become small, she came to visit them on Earth.
Appearance Known for her beauty, Sephie sports the slender, voluptuous figure that her race, the Charmians, are known for. She has fair skin, long wavy hair and shares its pink color with her daughters, and has red eyes (pink in the anime). When visiting Earth, she wears a gold tiara and a revealing, white off-shoulder dress that accents her large breasts. To prevent men from being affected by her beauty, she sports a pink veil that obscures her face. Measurements are B92-W58-H90
Personality Sephie TLRD2 OVA2 02 She acts more as the leader of the planet Deviluke than her husband, Gid Lucione Deviluke, the king of Deviluke and emperor of the Milky Way Galaxy. Unlike her demanding and spoiled husband, she has been described as a wonderful person, a hardworking leader of her people, and a good role model for her daughters. As the current queen of Deviluke (in the king's place, who isn't good at politics), she demonstrates active leadership and endeavors to maintain relations with every planet.
As a Charmian, Sephie is, by nature, a very caring and understanding individual. She manages to see the good in most everything, and seemingly yearns to introduce true happiness into people's lives to the point of absolute selflessness.
Despite not being vain, humorously, she is still unintentionally narcissistic about her beauty. She would often comment about her own beautiful face, and loudly laments and regrets how much trouble she causes around herself simply for being too beautiful. And even to the few who have ever been unfazed when seeing her face, she would ask them if they are okay after seeing her "beautiful face", an attitude that perplexed even Gid when they were both children.
In terms of personality, Sephie resembles her youngest daughter, Momo. She takes a liking to Rito for his innocence, which remained unshakable even in the face of her overwhelming beauty and muses he is similar to her spouse. She realized quickly why her daughters loved him, and jokingly offered all three to him. And based on his flustered reaction, as well as knowing that Sephie was much like her, she quickly knew that Momo is working on a harem plan around Rito, which she approves of if Momo is fine with it, much to Momo's shock.
History Vol13ch49 Rito, Mikan, and Celine meet Sephie for the first time Because of her over-appealing beauty, Sephie has faced many troubles from males of any kind coming on to her since childhood. During her childhood, however, she and the surviving members of her race traveled the galaxy as a caravan, because they didn't have a home planet of their own. After being assaulted by numerous men, the one who kept her safe from this was Gid Lucione Deviluke, whom she fell in love with due to him not being affected by her charm, eventually married him and had three daughters.
Powers and Abilities Charmian Physiology: Sephie is part of a race known as Charmians, a humanoid race who are endowed with the most beautiful voices and appearances in the universe.
Sephie Principal TLRD2 OVA2 01 Sephie's Charmian ability. Lust Inducement via Pheromones: The sites of pheromone production and other secretions in a Charmian's deep dermis produce numerous psychoactive chemicals, which, when inhaled or absorbed through the skin, induce in an individual a sexual desire no matter how much of a gentlemen they are. This also works on animals. However, certain individuals (such as Gid and Rito) are capable of resisting this. Superhuman Physical Attributes: Charmians have naturally augmented physiologies due to their entire body being composed of healthy cells. It has been stated that "every cell in a Charmian's body is perfection". Decelerated Aging: If a Charmian lived long enough, the regeneration of healthy cells would have slowed down the aging process in their body. Charismatic Voice: Charmians are known to have beautiful voices, able to bring out the good in people and stop conflicts between them using only their words. Enhanced Metabolism: As a Charmian, Sephie is resistant to gaining weight as part of having her attractive figure. Relationships Gid Lucione Deviluke Gid & Sephie A young Sephie with her future husband, Gid She is married to Gid, the king of Deviluke and the emperor of the Milky Way galaxy. It's unknown what her impression of him is, especially considering his intentions of dropping down from the throne to go around and do perverted things to other women, but Momo states that Gid is completely unable to oppose her. It was Gid, however, who saved her when the great intergalactic war was fought over her, implying that he does care for her and her well-being.
Sephie once stated to Momo that she wanted Gid to notice her because he was the first male who was completely unaffected by her charm due to Gid being only interesting in fighting. She tried to get him notice her and end up forced herself onto him. She remember fondly how Gid's face was bright red when she did.
Daughters Sephie loves her daughters very much, showing equal affection and attention to each of them. Lala, Momo, and Nana have inherited her beauty (though Nana does not share their impressive breast size), but not enough to inherit the Charmian's seductive trait, which Sephie is grateful for, so they wouldn't grow up with the same trouble she did. Momo states that she's a wonderful person. To her daughters, she is the person they admire the most.
Despite their love for her, Lala and her sisters do not seem too lonely or upset at being so separated from their mother while staying on Earth. Because their mother is so busy leading her people (and because of their father's perverted hobbies), her daughters seem to have grown up most of their lives in the palace under the care of Zastin and their teachers.
While on Earth, Momo has stated that despite being busy most of the time, their mother still makes time to call them (To-Love-Ru Darkness Chapter 23), and is willing to bathe with them as she did when they were children to make up for lost time.
Yuuki Rito Despite only knowing him for a short time, it's clear that Sephie respects him as the fiancee of her eldest daughter, and is just as understanding and caring towards him as she is with all other people she comes across. She thinks of him as someone with intensive, soulful willpower and considerate restraint, which reminds her of her husband and why she fell in love with him to begin with, and has described as being a "wonderful person."

Devilukeans are an extraterrestrial humanoid species of beings who originate from the planet Deviluke, ruled by Gid Lucione Deviluke.
Appearance Hence their name, Devilukeans have demonic traits. The tails of any Devilukeans have the half-length of their height. The tails of the Devilukean princesses have spade-shaped ends, the monarch of Deviluke, Gid, has the tail of trident-shaped end. And the head of the royal guard, Zastin, has the scorpion-shaped end, and their guardsmen have the diamond-shaped end. Their clothing follows the demoniac subject, and Gid wears the black attire that could be described as similar to a Gothic dark prince. Zastin is almost always seen with his archaic armour of grey stone, with its enormous sharp edges, that seems to be quite sinister if he was not in the presence of his personality that is cheerful, proper and comically incompetent. The princesses of Deviluke has the black devil-shaped wings at their back that are able to fly. Their clothing seems to be inspired in the joker of the playing cards. In addition to their black wings, Peke doesn't seem to follow any type of the tendency of Deviluke, but it is simply designed by Lala's ridiculous imagination. Although the majority of Lala's inventions, Peke looks mainly white-coloured and round.
Powers and Abilities Any Devilukeans have the superhuman power which is very stronger than earthlings, including the majority of the beings of the galaxy. In next to no time, Lala even gains deadly damage against Yami, the well-known assassin, by only using her brutal power. Nevertheless, Yami admits that she lives in the Earth that debilitated her. Another demonstration of the power of Devilukeans is when Gid is able to hit the tennis ball that the advisor of the tennis club Sasuga shot with Gid's strong power. And Sasuga loses heart when he sees Gid's overwhelming power. Devilukeans also are capable to shoot the beams from the end of their tails. Nevertheless, up to the moment, only Lala, Nana and Momo have used this ability, it is unknown whether this ability is exclusive for the princesses, or only female Devilukeans or any Devilukeans have this ability. It is possible that any Devilukeans seem to obtain their own unique abilities, such as Nana can talk to animals and Momo can talk to plants. Apparently, the Devilukeans don't have a weakness to the exception of the women that when a male touches the tail, loses their power. This weakness applies in different ways towards women.
Superior Strength: The physical strength, without any type of inventions or powers, is pure brutish strength up to which a beat can cause a shockwave of collision. This great power is shown by Lala, Zastin and Momo, but Nana doesn't show great power. The exact limits of a Devilukean's strength are unknown, but they are capable of lifting far in excess of 100,000 tons. Superior Speediness: They also show that they are capable to run very fast. It is seen by Lala, Nana, Momo, and Zastin. They are capable of moving, reacting, running and flying at superhuman speeds and can use this power to disarm opponents, catch bullets or shrapnel and cross vast distances in seconds. Stamina: They have the great ability of recovery and also they show the great stamina for resisting attacks such as Lala, Nana and Momo. Tail: They can shoot a laser beam from the end of their tails, it is unknown whether any Devilukeans can do this ability or not. But, their tail is a weapon and also weakness, as it is very sensitive for them, only such as Lala, Nana and Momo. Combat at Close Quarters: Their strength of combat is extraordinary, as Lala fights Yami or Nana beats Rito, and such as Momo and Gid. Intelligence: Some Devilukeans showed great intelligence as creating things such as Lala and Momo. Although they're the ones as Nana that have this ability. Shout: It is only shown by Lala but very possibly also other Devilukeans can do. It's seen when Japan was getting assaulted by the great typhoon, Lala screamed against the typhoon and herself because of the frustration for which she ruins the plans with Rito. The result was a strange formation of pure energy, that could be even seen from the space and blows the typhoon out of Japan. Act: Some Devilukeans showed to be great actors as in the case of Momo, that shows that can make everything believe that is an innocent and pure girl. Strength of Will: Some of Devilukeans show the great strength of will as Nana is the unique person who is able to resist Mea's Psycho Dive, and it is seen twice. Master of Swordsmanship: Zastin shows the excellent swordsmanship as the chief of the royal guard.

Charmians are an ancient and almost-extinct race (with only one full-blooded, living Charmian being known to exist), which are considered to be the most beautiful species in the universe.
The current members of the species consist of Sephie Michaela Deviluke and her daughters: Lala Satalin Deviluke, Nana Aster Deviluke, and Momo Belia Deviluke. Lala, Nana, and Momo are half-Charmian due to their father, Gid Lucione Deviluke being a member of the Devilukean species. Because of this, some of their Charmian attributes - while still very much present - are not nearly as overwhelming as their mother's.
According to Peke, some believe that the Great Galactic War was in fact caused by complications stemming from a dispute over a single Charmian.
Appearance They are predominantly known for their reputation as the most beautiful beings in the universe.
The Charmian race possesses "perfect" physical attributes and a great metabolism for maintaining their figures.
Powers and Abilities Lust Inducement via Pheromones: Charmians can produce psychoactive chemicals that are capable of inducing a sexual desire in individuals, no matter how much of a modest person they were beforehand. The Royal Palace of Deviluke. Deviluke is referred to as the center of the galaxy, though this is probably a reference to its importance rather than its location in the universe. The planet of Deviluke literally rules the galaxy after the galactic unification wars led by King Gid Lucione Deviluke, and as such they hold dominion over all the planets of the galaxy and their people.
Little is known about the planet itself, except that it has a Gothic culture, a lot of many forests, really high mountains, and a high level of technology. Much more is known about the citizens of Deviluke, who are at least known to be many times stronger than Earthlings, and who seem to have won their wars across the galaxy using only their own natural powers, which seem to be of some variety.
The planet is considered by many to be the most powerful planet in the universe.
Devilukeans Appearance Like their planet, the appearance of the Devilukeans follows a theme of devils and demons. All Devilukeans have tails at least half as long as their bodies, ending in a pointed tip of various shapes. Most of the Devilukeans shown have diamond-shaped tail tips; the Devilukean king, Gid, has a tail that ends in a trident-shaped tip (its metallic appearance and use as a blade in battle are thought to indicate that it's a weaponized replacement); the tails of the Devilukean princesses all end in a spade-shaped tip (whether this difference is due to gender or their Charmian heritage is not revealed).
Other than their unique tails, Devilukeans, like with many other alien races, greatly resemble humans and are possibly a distant relative of them. They can easily be mistaken for being human; one example is when Maron was confused about how a human was talking to him, though it was actually Nana.
Their clothing follow the devil theme as well, but also appear to be inspired by playing cards. Emperor Gid's true form wears a black outfit that could be described as resembling a Gothic dark prince. Zastin is almost always seen wearing an archaic stone-like gray armor with many sharp edges, which might have appeared rather sinister were it not for its presence in a light-hearted manga series, and Zastin's own comically inept character. The princesses often wear black devil wings on their backs, which enable them to fly. Their clothing seem to be inspired by playing cards, mildly modeled after harlequin outfits with light frills, has a slight diamond motif, and striped stockings.
Lala's iconic "Peke" outfit is unique to herself. Besides the black wings, it does not seem to follow any kind of Devilukean trend, but rather is simply designed by Lala's goofy imagination, which is dominantly white, round and curvy, much like most of her other inventions.
Royal Family King of Deviluke - Gid Lucione Deviluke Queen of Deviluke - Sephie Michaela Deviluke Princesses of Deviluke First Princess - Lala Satalin Deviluke Second Princess - Nana Astar Deviluke Third Princess - Momo Belia Deviluke Royal Palace Guards Commander - Zastin Assistants - Maul and Smutts Powers and Abilities All Devilukeans have superhuman strength. They are much stronger than Earthlings and most aliens of the galaxy. At one time, Lala even reached a stalemate against Yami, a well-known assassin, with just using her brute strength. However, Yami admits that living peacefully on Earth has weakened her. Another display of the Devilukeans' strength is when Gid was able to hit a tennis ball so hard that it caused Sasuga, the tennis club's adviser, to faint while standing.
Some Devilukeans have sort of blood lust emotion through fighting or when simply tempted by someone who gets them mad. Others like Momo have a lustful desire for sexual pleasure.
Tail-beam-like-shock-beam Gid and his daughters have shown the ability to shoot destructive beams of energy from their tails. The most powerful displays of this ability have been made by Gid, who used it to effortlessly destroy Nemesis' body, and Lala, who canceled out an attack from Darkness powerful enough to destroy a planet. However, so far, no other Devilukeans have shown this ability, so it is unknown whether or not it is exclusive to the royal Devilukeans. Nana and Momo's abilities to communicate with animals and plants are unique variations of the "charm" ability inherited from their mother, and no similar abilities have been revealed by any other Devilukeans.
Weaknesses Despite the Devilukeans' "perfect warrior" abilities, they still have weaknesses. The overuse of their power can cause them to temporarily revert into their child-like forms, such as the case with Gid after the Galactic Unification Wars, and Lala during her fight against Yami in Darkness Chapter 44. The recuperation period can vary drastically depending on how much power was used: Lala returned to her normal form after a few weeks at most, whereas Gid remained a child for years.
Momo TLRD EP12 02 Momo rubbing her tail. Some Devilukeans are shown to have sensitive tails, this weakness is present only in women and in men this does not affect them much (To LOVE-Ru: chapter 117). When someone touches it, the Devilukean will lose power, but might manage to find enough strength to throw said person and let their tail go. The feeling of having their tail touched gives them an "erotic" sensation. However, this weakness is only shown between Lala and her sisters. When Nana was asked if this applied to everyone, she mentions that everyone's different (Motto To Love-Ru Episode 11). As seen with Momo, Devilukeans with sensitive tails can pleasure themselves by rubbing it

- Never Seen Without His Headband
Yūki Saibai is the father of Yūki Rito and Yūki Mikan, and the husband of Yūki Ringo. He works as a mangaka and is very different compared to Rito in terms of both looks and personality. He lives in his own apartment where he does his work as a mangaka, due to living really close he appears slightly more often in the series than his wife does. Saibai is known to possess great skills as a manga artist, one of his most notable skill is that he can draw at an amazing speed.
Appearance Saibai has gold/brown eyes and slightly long and messy black hair, he seems to have big eyebrows. He is always seen wearing a dark blue shirt and a red headband that says "big haul".
Personality Saibai can be utterly serious and determined in doing his manga drawings especially before deadlines are met, but seems to have a bit of a goofy side, such as making a joke about Rito and Lala "sleeping" together every night and punching Rito when he got drunk and mistook his son for a burglar. Like Mikan, he is very casual, even amused, with his son's relationship with an alien girl, something Rito finds perplexing about his family.
He feels that whenever he puts on his headband, his mood turns intense and his work marches right along, saying it's a case of form defining substance.
Plot He first appeared in Chapter 11 when Rito went to his apartment to help with his manga before the due date, at the time he also brought Lala along which Saibai was aware that she was an alien from Mikan. Lala helps Saibai and his co-workers finish their work by using an unmaned invention that helps them draw faster, however his co-workers quit due to exhaustion, who Lala later replaced with Zastin, Maul and Smutts and are currently working under Saibai.
In the anime, he writes a (not-so-encouraging) letter to Rito at the end of the first season.
With the help of Lala, Saibai returns for the Christmas party, stating how much Zastin and his workers have grown since starting out.
Relationships Yūki Rito Rito is Saibai's only son, whom he would occasionally ask to buy manga supplies for him or assist in drawing his mangas. If he were to say no to him, then his dad would not give him his monthly allowance, showing he has a stern parental approach to him. Even though he rarely sees him, it is obvious he still cares for his son, just as any father would.
Yūki Mikan Saibai Mikan TLRD EP3 01 Mikan cleaning up Saibai's place. Mikan is Saibai's only daughter, whom he also would constantly ask along with Rito to bring in manga supplies to him with a bonus of helping clean up his apartment and cook food for him and his co-workers, which he really enjoys, saying it fuels up his stamina. Although Mikan finds it quite irritating especialy when he buys Momo's innocent act.
Yūki Ringo His wife, whom he hardly ever sees due to her job as a fashion designer traveling around the world. But they do seem to still love and care for each other.
Lala Satalin Deviluke Saibai seems to enjoy Lala's company and likes teasing Rito over his relationship with her, like how she sneaks into his bed naked. Lala would usualy call him "Rito Papa".
Momo Belia Deviluke Momo would always try to make good impression around him, which seems to work, as he once mentioned that she would make a great wife. He is completely unaware of her lecherous side and is under the impression that she really is a kind and sweet young lady. Momo would occasionally call him "Father" (as in for Father-in-Law).
Zastin Zastin, along with Maul and Smutts, currently work for Saibai as manga artists (with Zastin as chief assistant) ever since his previous assistants quit due to exhaustion when they used one of Lala's inventions to help them draw fast. Zastin, Maul and Smutts seem to enjoy their jobs as manga artists more than their jobs as bodyguards.

- Passionate about fashion
Yūki Ringo is the mother of Yūki Rito and Yūki Mikan, and the wife of Yūki Saibai. She is a fashion designer and a scout for fashion models. Normally working overseas, every once in a while she returns home to check up on the family, despite initially appearing to be refined and chic.
Appearance Ringo has orange hair and yellow eyes, she is mostly wearing glasses above her forehead, a gold necklace and some really fancy clothing.
Personality Ringo has a tendency to instinctively fondle other girls breasts, waist and butt with her hands and find out their measurements whenever she see's them (like when she first saw Lala and Haruna), even going as far as to strip their clothes. This is a trick she probably uses in her work time as she personaly calls it her "work mode" a side of hers which she has a hard time controlling, showing how very seriously she takes her work.
Plot Ringo first appeared in chapter 60 to check on her family (much to the surprise of her children) and was already made aware of Lala living with them (and the fact she's an alien) by Mikan, upon seeing her she immediately "checks" her by fondeling her body and finds out her measurements. She does same to Haruna (who happens to have been visiting), only this time she tries to strips her clothes off but was stopped by Rito, seeing how Haruna acts around, she becomes aware of her feelings for him and comments how popular he is, this causes Haruna to be emberrasment and leave, much to Rito's displeasure. Later at the airport, Ringo is about to leave but before she does she tells Lala "good luck".
With the help of Lala, she returns for the Christmas party in chapter 130, where she asks who is Celine's mother, apparently assuming that her son is the father. This is the last time she appear in the series.
Relationships Yūki Saibai Her husband who that she rarely see's but still loves very much.
Yūki Rito Her first born child and only son, she seems to be aware of Haruna's feelings for him where he is not, thus makes fun of him for being oblivious. She would sometimes give him advice about girls and has shown to care for his well-being and his happiness.
Yūki Mikan Her second born and only daughter, and like her daughter, Ringo is also highly perceptive, able to read Haruna's feelings towards Rito and both make fun of him for not knowing it. She also shows great caring towards her only daughter, feeling sorry and sympathized for her because of her frequently absence, and she cannot help but feel proud of her daughter's maturity.
Lala Satalin Deviluke Ringo seems to taken a liking to Lala, before she left, she wishes Lala "good luck" on her relationship with Rito, also knowing Haruna's feelings for him too.

Yūki Rito is the main male protagonist of the To Love-Ru series, and its sequel, To Love-Ru Darkness. He is a normal 16-year-old student of Sainan High, who has a big crush on Sairenji Haruna, to whom he attempted numerous times to confess to but has met failure each time. It was only by accident that he met Lala Satalin Deviluke, an alien princess he accidentally became engaged to.
Rito used to be on the soccer team in junior high and was fairly good, but quit because he was constantly helping his father with his manga duties, and did not want to leave his little sister Yūki Mikan alone in the house. Mikan comments he is very good at the most "useless little things", like crane and festival games (e.g. hoops, catching fish, squirt guns). Along with the many useless little things Rito is good at, he is also an accomplished florist, gardener and horticulturist.
Rito's nature is an extremely loving one, yet also somewhat clumsy, where he always ends up unintentionally molesting or groping the many girls in the series. He is generally very kind, thoughtful and has a lot of respect for women, though mostly by intention, and not so much by a success. Due to his shyness around girls, he is very awkward around women and has great difficulty maintaining his composure around any sort of stimulating situation. Even without interference from Lala's inventions, Oshizu's psychic powers, or Celine jumping into his face, Rito is individually clumsy enough to trip over absolutely nothing, and possesses extraordinary skill in accidentally reaching his hands or face into the breasts or other private parts of any girl within reach when he is falling. He is constantly viewed as a "pervert" but unknowingly, his kindliness is what wins him the affections of most of the girls in the series.
Over time he also comes to love Lala and knowing his feelings for Haruna, she suggests for him to be with both of them, because due to being engaged to her, he is next in line for the throne of Deviluke, which would make polygamy legal for him. In To Love-Ru Darkness, Lala's little sister Momo also falls in love with Rito and expands Lala's initial idea into her harem plan, where she and all the other girls who love Rito can be with him.
As of Chapter 61 of Darkness, Rito became Nemesis' Trans-Fusion host after he offered her his body as a temporary home until she recovered enough power to retain a physical form. Nemesis inside Rito knew that he has feelings for Haruna, so she created an atmosphere so under such circumstances they finally confessed to each other (Chapter 75 & 76).
Appearance Rito has golden brown eyes and orange-brown hair. In the original series the spikes on his hair were sharp and seemingly sticking out, but in To-Love-Ru Darkness his hair seems to be a lot neater and softer. He is shown to be of average height, if compared to other male students in his class and is taller than most of the female cast.
Personality Rito is kind and sweet and he always cares about people. He is virtuous, righteous, and withholds an incredible deal of respect towards others that surpasses his own idea of self-worth. He is courageous and persistent enough to risk his life to protect his friends well being, like when he protected Lala from her strong bodyguards Maul and Smutts or the hitman Kuro, saved Haruna from Ghi Bree and stood up to his deceptively monstrous form, traveled to a dangerous planet to find a cure for Celine when she was sick, and tried to save Rin from Bladix's control and broke her free from it, nearly having his own mind being taken.
Rito is especially caring and considerate towards women in particular, as he has shown disgust multiple times towards the concept of assaulting girls in any way (though he once violently threw Momo off his bed), and refuses to take advantage of and/or demean them intentionally, even if they give him permission to do so, unless it is absolutely necessary (such as when he had to bring Yami back to her old self when she was in her Darkness Form). Despite whatever struggles may come his way, he never gives up on those in danger. For these reasons, Lala stated that he's "the most dependable person in the universe". Rito also tends to help out those who dislike him, such as Yami, before she developed feelings for him, like when she was sick from over-using her powers and he carried her to Mikado's clinic. He has also shown his sympathy for her when he learned of her past, and expressed anger towards the organization that created and raised her to become a weapon, going as far as to say he will never "forgive them".
Being a normal boy, though, he initially can also easily and somewhat frequently lose his temper and snap at people when annoyed by their actions or words, even when he doesn't mean to. At first, he has shown to be angry and upset with Lala quite often, since he does have to put up with a lot of her hijinks, and even punched Ren in the face for thoughtlessly ruining what could have been a moment between him and Haruna, as well as for accidentally kissing him. His humble nature, in turn, can often have low self esteem about himself, building off of his rare short fuse. He rarely gives himself credit for his good deeds, tends to dwell on his mistakes more than anything when sad, hardly ever speaks up for or voices himself and, in general, doesn't do anything to truly stand up for himself.
His personality as a kind and loyal friend makes him quite trustworthy, and very persuasive which enables him to sway and befriend other people. Girls tend to feel a certain "warmth" when close to him or when he comforts them. He is a very charismatic person, always trying to make people feel better and understand others' points of view and changing it to a more positive outlook. He cares for plants and animals, as shown when he was the only one who didn't neglect to care for the school flowers, and when he rescued a cat from a tree, both of which persuaded Haruna and Yui that he is really a kind person.
Unfortunately, while girls appreciate and cherish his innocent nature, his innocence is arguably one of his worst traits. He rejects sexual pleasure often due to his nervous and celibacy-filled nature towards it, and he easily loses his composure around provocative situations being pushed into his face due to a moral sense of chivalrous respect for the opposite sex. As a result, he has grown to become very clumsy and shy around women, often getting flustered when faced with sudden upfront, erotic situations either out of guilt, unsure panic, confusion, or all three. Due to his unique clumsiness, his flustered reactions always lead to accidentally violating them in absurdly over-the-top ways. For these reasons, he is either regarded by other girls as an innocent boy and suitable love interest, or as an insolent boy and 'pervert', though never anything worse than this.
While sleeping, Rito acts as what Momo describes as a true Harem King. He has dreams about ice creams and marshmallows, and starts to grope and lick those who are sleeping next to him (mostly Momo), thinking them as marshmallows and/or ice cream. He even was about to kiss Momo, but she stopped him telling him their first kiss must be of his free will.
He seems to start getting more interested in sexual activities as seen in Darkness Chapter 73 where he has a dream about pushing Momo down and grabbing her breasts on purpose, while it actually was Lala in his futon at the time.
History As a child, Rito would often go out and play football/soccer with friends, but because his parents weren't always around, which would leave Mikan all alone at home. Feeling bad for her as any good family member would, Rito would stay in to look after her. When he was thirteen, he took Mikan to the public pool that was crowded at the time, which caused the two to separate (although Mikan unaware of it). Rito was so worried that by the time he found her, his T-shirt was covered in sweat which Mikan noticed how desperately he searched for her, though she thought it was stupid of him she was also happy.
Rito has always assisted his father's work as a manga artist, and then would take Mikan to a shrine nearby to play. One time, during his fifth grade, while Yui was also at the shrine, Rito climbed a tree to help a cat who was stuck. This was the first time that Yui met Rito, although it was years later during a déjà vu that Yui remembered that the boy was, in fact, Rito. The cat that Rito saved from the tree was the same cat that Yui tried but couldn't save prior to Rito and Mikan's arrival at the shrine. She tried to ask some of the boys from her class to help her, but they rejected her because they hated Yui's strictness as their class representative, and left to play games instead. Because of that, Yui had the impression that all boys are bad. However, due to Rito's bravery, Yui's perception of boys changed, and she realized that not all of them are bad. Rito isn't aware that Yui was the same girl he met at the shrine.
During Rito's eighth grade, Rito became classmates with Haruna Sairenji. It was stated that this was the last time that Haruna and Rito became classmates (prior to the start of the series). In the anime, Rito has been in love with her when she was the only one who believed he did not vandalize the plants in the school garden. Haruna stated that she first noticed him during a school competition, when their class was lagging behind the other classes in a race, and he never gave up, and ended up winning the race for his class and won the trophy. Haruna also noticed Rito's care for the plants in the school, and noticed that Rito would always refill the water in the flower vase while no one else cared, and concluded that he must be a kind person.
Before Rito met Lala, it was stated that Rito had difficulty talking to girls, which led to his lack of confidence and clumsiness around them. However, because of Lala's friendliness, and Rito's growing relationship with Lala, most of Lala's female friends became Rito's as well, especially Haruna Sairenji (whom Rito had a crush on and could not even talk to prior to Lala's "descent") and is now able to have a proper conversation with them.
Powers and Abilities As a human boy of the most ordinary kind, Rito has no superhuman abilities of any kind. Among some of his minor talents are gardening, sports, and manga illustration, the latter skill he uses to assist his mangaka father. It was mentioned that he was also good at soccer. As his sister described, he's only good at basically useless things, such as sports, festival games, and video games. Oddly for an average human, Rito apparently has a few skills that no normal human boy would have. His most significant physical skills, however, are often seen in comedic and perverted effect.
Weaponized Body: Comically, Rito can be used as a very effective weapon for Haruna when she panics in fear and blindly attacks whatever scares her by either swinging him around and/or throwing him. Durability: As far as physical skills go, Rito has good resilience to physical attacks; a very useful characteristic for a boy regularly harassed by troublesome characters around him. Rito Evasion skills Rito Evasion skills Speed and Agility: Haruna has mentioned that he is a very fast runner, as he was able to outrun four people ahead of him and win the sports festival race for his class. The extent of his speed is further seen when dodging incoming attacks, as noted by Yami in episode 11. Even before meeting Yami, Rito is very agile and can hop around the roofs of houses in his neighborhood when he and Lala ran away from the Devilukian guards in the first chapter. Peak Human Reflexes: Even though he gets punched and hit continuously, he is seen to be able to dodge life-threatening attacks, such as Zastin's sword attacks and Yami's bladed transformations, even when she was still serious about killing him. This is referred to later on when Rito is seen narrowly dodging multiple sword slashes by Kujō Rin when she is possessed by the demonic sword Bladix; Yami notes that due to avoiding her own attacks at him over the year, Rito's ability to dodge deadly attacks has increased to the point which an Earthling shouldn't be able to avoid, showing that he has also gained great reflexes. Oddly, despite this skill, he is still clumsy on a regular basis. Immunity to Seduction: Alongside Gid Lucione Deviluke, Rito has proven to be completely immune to the power of the Charmians, which supposedly can make all individuals of the opposite gender, regardless of species, lose their minds and lust over them. When Sephie had asked him why he wasn't affected by her charm power, Rito states that "he hasn't lost his senses yet", meaning that he may not be completely immune but is rather capable of resisting it and controlling himself quite fine for a long period of time. Woman Pleasure: Despite being a generally innocent boy without perverted intentions, Rito appears to have sexual talents which he himself is not entirely aware of. Nemesis complimented his "technique" on pleasuring women when she ordered him to massage her shoulders. Momo believes the same thing about him when he fondles her in his sleep, which she greatly enjoys, and has made it a goal of hers to bring out his "inner harem king". Other times, whenever Rito trips and falls into a girl, some of the ways he manages to accidentally touch them seem to overtake them with an overwhelming sense of aroused euphoria before they notice what just happened. In the latest chapter, it is shown that Rito was able to strip Haruna in a mere second. Lucky Pervert: Rito's most remarkable and infamous "skill" is his ability to accidentally grope any girl within his reach almost every time he falls. In To LOVE-Ru Darkness, his clumsiness becomes even more powerful, shown to be capable of accomplishing nigh-impossible feats, such as reaching his hands or various objects into the clothing and undergarments of girls or partially strip off their clothing, and grab several private parts of several girls all at once, all of which purely by accident. His clumsiness is even able to "defeat" stronger opponents, such as when he caught Nemesis off guard and landed himself in her privates, and when he predictably tripped and "defeated" Rin's attempt to dodge him and managed to pull her underwear. Nemesis later guarantees that female opponents such as Azenda will never be able to kill Rito because of this ability. Woman Identification: Rito can tell the differences between Lala and Momo judging by their hip sizes. He can also recognize Nemesis in her alternate form by contacting with her crotch. Rito's Godly Indecency Yui Rito TLRD EP1 01 Rito's godly fall Doctor Mikado theorized his habit of indecency might be caused by his restraint with girls, having believed he needs to be kind to girls since he was young and taking care of her little sister, inadvertently resulting in an accumulation of male frustration. Since Rito always maintains his rationality and doesn't respond to the stimulation during a sexual occurrences, his libido started to boil over and his body began to act out of his control when he fell onto girls. As a result, every time he falls his body unconsciously reacts to the stimulating in seemingly supernatural ways. Although he always feels sorry and suppresses his libido, this results in the next fall to be even more impossible.
Mikado tells Rito about the impossibility and says it is in a different dimension than a disease and compare it on a supernatural phenomenon or even the will of the universe.
The more he suppressed himself, the more extreme and unbelievable his next "accidents" would become. His libido can act freely when Rito's own consciousness weakens, and the most prominent example is how he becomes frisky Rito is often a victim to streams of otherworldly mischief and chaos around him, such as Lala's inventions, Oshizu's psychic powers, or Celine's pollens. But even without such interferences throwing him around, Rito is already often clumsy enough around women to trip over minor obstacles or absolutely nothing, and when he does, he never fails to accidentally reach his hands or face into the breasts or other private parts of any girl in close proximity to him.
Rito Harem TLR EP13 01 In To LOVE-Ru Darkness, his clumsiness becomes even more frequent and violating as well as strangely inventive and surreal, allowing him to molest and violate in ways nobody thought possible by accident. While his unique clumsiness is not exactly a true skill which he would ever be proud of, it's nonetheless become one of his trademark characteristics, the frequency and coincidence of which are nothing less than extraordinary.
During his sleep, molesting Lala and Momo in the process.
Mikado called his act Cataplectic Indecency Syndrome, not a disease, but something else entirely. Currently, according to her, it is incurable nor can it be treated, but instead, she suggests that it could be a "talent" and encourages him to put it to good use.
Hobbies and Interests Rito has a wide variety of hobbies. When he was younger, he would often play soccer for fun and competition, but has since moved on, making it a side interest of his. Rito's also fairly in touch with playing video games and watching TV, typically Magical Kyouko and whatever Lala, Nana, Momo, or Mikan have already put on. It's possible he may enjoy books, as suggested by going to the school library to get one on plants.
In the anime, Rito seems to enjoy watching the Magical Kyouko show, although in the manga he claims he doesn't watch it.
As an average human boy, Rito is not particularly talented and does not really excel in most of his interests and hobbies besides the rather insignificant ones, such as video games and festival games. He is, however, highly accomplished and connected with horticulture, plant care and planting in general.
Transformations A running gag in the series is that Rito is constantly getting transformed into different shapes or things, whether they be animals, objects, or different sizes due to Lala's inventions; whether or not it was a malfunction or an accident. Occasionally, instead of being transformed, he would instead be transferred into another body. Among the numerous things Rito has been turned into, some more notable ones include:
A girl (Riko) Maron (OVA 3) A dog (Mind Switch) Sairenji Haruna (Mind Switch) Peke (Body Transfer) A Toilet (Darkness Chapter 35 4-Koma Comic) A Hamster A Tiny Version of Himself (Multiple Occasions) A Baby (Adverse Results of "Gigantification Gas") A Body Sponge Panties Thermometer

Yūki Mikan is Rito's independent and reliable 12-year-old sister. Mikan takes care of most of the household work while their parents are away working and also watches over Celine. In contrast to her brother, she is very mature and does not hesitate to tease him, going as far as lying that they aren't blood-related, but quickly retracting the statement and telling the truth. Mikan also seems to have a certain lack of respect for Rito because of this (hardly ever addresses him by honorific as an older brother), but does answer him "Onii-Chan" as thanks for trying so hard to take care of her when she develops a fever and when he gives her a Christmas present.
Mikan has grown quite attached to Yami, perhaps due to Yami seemingly being the same age as her. Mikan is very perceptive and seems to be able to read people's emotions, even their reactions, most of which is Rito's obvious anxiety around Sairenji Haruna and Kotegawa Yui's subtle feelings for him. Mikan even calls him a "playboy" (so does Nana) for attracting so many girls all of a sudden (even though she attracts so many boys at her school). Mikan, however, does respect Rito's relationship with Lala, even going so far as to tell Momo not to get too close to Rito for Lala's sake. Although it's possible that she could have done this out of jealousy of how close Momo was getting to Rito.
Mikan is the only main character that doesn't attend Sainan High.
Appearance Mikan has gold brown eyes and brown hair, she is described to be really cute by some characters. According to a "Full size Dakimakura Cover-Mikan Version", her measurements are B70-W52-H73.
Mikan is usually seen in an apron, as she is in the kitchen most of the time. Other than cooking attire, she is seen in a school uniform, casual clothing, etc.
Personality As a younger sister, Mikan is widely known for her maturity and reliability for her age. Her maturity is also quite unique, as while she is Rito's younger sister and the youngest character in the cast, she is arguably more adult than most of the other characters, and basically acts as a big sister, wife, or mother to Rito and all who live in her house. Because she is very good at cooking and housework, she essentially takes care of her big brother. Rather than looking up to him, she instead treats him like he is her little brother, and rarely calls him "Onii-chan", as she used to. Mikan generally treats Lala the same way, enjoying her company like a little sister and pleased to see her brother's life becoming more entertaining upon her arrival.
Like most girls in the cast, she is also aware of her breast size[1] and often feels inferior when comparing other girls' to hers, mostly Lala, although her physique is quite normal for her age. Despite this, she still feels insecure about this, and has developed a positive connection with Nana due to their similar chest-related angst.
In the fifth OVA, when Mikan was effected by the pollen of one of Momo plants that makes anyone who inhales it to act freely, she acted childish and clingy towards Rito, even calling him "Onii-chan", showing how shy she is at expressing how she feels towards Rito and that she just acts mature around others. She even feared that her place in Rito's might slip away when Momo was being too close to him.
Mikan is very perceptive, as she is good at understanding other people and noticing their feelings. She knew very quickly her brother's crush on Haruna, and Haruna's similar feelings for Rito as well. And she knows that Rito is too scared to enjoy perverted things, and that Lala is innocent and quite childish, so she doesn't mind catching Lala naked in her brother's bed in the morning and even treats it like something normal, though it should be noted that she overreacted once when she mistook them having sex in his room, when Lala was just moaning because Rito's hand was stuck to her tail. But she particularly doesn't like Momo sneaking into his room at night and sleeping with him, because of how sexual she can be towards him.
Like a big sister or mother, she would try to protect Rito from sexual temptations and doesn't like it when girls with more perverted tendencies like Momo and Mea would do perverted things to him. She tries as often as she can to watch out whenever Momo gets the opportunity to be alone with Rito and even guards his room at night to stop her from sneaking in and sleeping next to him. She also doesn't particularly like Mea when first meeting her, and though she tried to get to know Mea better after learning that she is Yami's sister, she finds that she cannot deal with her type and likely can't become close friends with her as she is with Yami.
Mikan seems to get along quite well with characters who are more level-headed, composed, and mature, such as Yami and Kujō Rin. In To LOVE-Ru Darkness, despite being older than even Mikan's big brother, Rin seems to have become friends with her, and is astonished that someone like Mikan is the younger sister of the clumsy and quirky Rito. And Mikan is the only person whom Yami truly considers to be her friend. Rito explains that because she is so mature and reliable for her age, deep down, Mikan can get lonely without people she can relate with, and so she can use older friends who are like big sister figures to her, whom she can lean on[2].
Mikan has a case of Astraphobia, the fear of thunderstorms.
History Prior to the series, Mikan had always looked up to her brother and often called him "Onii-Chan" because of how kind and dependable he always seemed, such as climbing a tall tree to save a cat. Because of their parents hardly being at home, it was always just the two of them together, even during Christmas, and playing on snowy days. Over time, her respect for Rito seems to lighten. However, she still likes how he is always caring for her. For example, when she was 9 years old, Rito took her to a swimming pool where it was very crowded at the time and she got separated from Rito before she knew it, when he found her she noticed how desperately he searched for her from seeing his shirt full of sweat. Although she thought it was stupid of him, she was also happy knowing how much he really cares for her.

Sainan Metropolitan High School or simply Sainan High (彩南高校) is the school where all of the main characters (except for Mikan) study. As the series progressed, more and more of Rito and Lala's friends enroll in the school, usually girls. A running gag in the series is that the female characters in the series do not have any difficulty enrolling despite being aliens because the perverted principal accepts any cute girl who enrolls there. Sometimes, the principal would even invite other cute girls to go to his school (i.e. Riko). However, there were times where a male character was able to enroll in the school easily as well, like Ren, who enrolled in the middle of the year. A reason for this could be that the principal's pervertedness does not pick any gender (like in one case when the principal chased after Run, so she transformed into Ren, hoping that the principal would stop, only to have him say he was okay with that too, and resume chasing).
The school was destroyed in Chapter 72 due to Lala and Yami having a fight, though it was rebuilt by Chapter 74.
Uniforms During summer, the male unifom consists a white short sleeve button shirt and green trousers with a yellow cross-hatched pattern. In Winter, they wear a lemon coloured blazer and a green tie.
During summer, the female uniform also consists a white button shirt with a sleeve-less lemon colored jumper, a green bow-tie and green skirts with yellow coloured cross-hatched pattern. In Winter, they also wear a lemon colored blazer instead of a jumper.

In the second chapter, Haruna's perverted friends, Risa Momioka and Mio Sawada, were also introduced briefly. Then, by the fourth chapter, Lala also enrolled in Sainan High to become closer to Rito. When Haruna toured Lala around the school, another recurring character was introduced: Taizou Motemitsu, the pitcher of the baseball team who's notorious for hitting on girls then suddenly rejected and exclaimed by his posse. By the twentieth chapter, one of Lala's childhood friends, Ren Elsie Jewelria, also enrolled in Sainan High to become closer to Lala. A few chapters later, three more girls were introduced, the arrogant queen bee Saki Tenjouin, and her friends Rin Kujou and Aya Fujisaki, all three being one year higher than Rito and his friends. Later, Ren's female counterpart, Run, also enrolled in the school despite Ren being enrolled there already.
Rito and Lala initially attempted to hide the fact that Lala is an alien. Students would often notice Lala's Devilukean tail swinging behind her, but at first they simply passed it off as some accessory. Eventually, their friends discovered that she is actually an alien, to which they reacted surprisingly unsurprised. And soon enough, much of the entire school knows that she is an alien, also none too surprised.
On Rito and Lala's second year, Yui Kotegawa was introduced, who is a member of the student morals committee, and is often seen reprimanding the students' "shameless" behavior. In the abandoned building next to the school, there lived a ghost named Shizu Murasame, who soon enrolled in the middle of the year after Dr. Mikado gave her an artificial body.
In To LOVE-Ru Darkness, Lala's twin sisters, Momo and Nana, enroll as well as Golden Darkness (Yami). Momo and Nana enrolled in Sainan High because Momo would like to keep an eye on Rito and his girls so that her Harem Plan may succeed (she just convinced Nana to join her in enrolling). Nana soon befriends Mea Kurosaki, who is revealed to be a second generation Transformation Weapon (Yami's little sister), who joined Sainan High a month prior to keep an eye on Golden Darkness.
Right after enrolling, Momo instantly becomes popular, and soon has her own fan club, the Venus Momo Club (VMC). Like her sister, the club knows that Momo is an alien princess from the planet Deviluke. They seem to have nothing better to do than to follow and worship her, which she finds annoying.
Staff The most prominent staff in the series is Ryoko Mikado, the school doctor, who also happens to be an alien. She becomes a close friend and ally to Rito, Lala, and their friends, and they would consult with her whenever they have alien problems. The second most prominent staff is the notoriously perverted unnamed principal of the school. The principal would usually appear only to chase his female students or to offer other cute girls to enroll into his school. The third most prominent staff is Honekawa-Sensei, Rito and Lala's elderly homeroom teacher. He is the only seen teacher who actually discusses something in the classroom. In To LOVE-Ru Darkness, Dr. Tearju Lunatique substitutes Honekawa as Rito and Lala's homeroom teacher before becoming the homeroom teacher of Nana, Momo, Yami and Mea's class. The least prominent staff are Sasuga, the tennis club's handsome advisor, and Naruiwa, a teacher in the disciplinary team.

Haruna Sairenji is the second female protagonist of To Love Ru. She is in Rito's class and is the girl of his affections. Haruna has similar feelings for him, having been attracted to him because of his kind, gentle nature since junior high, but believes them to be unrequited and has not built up the nerve to confess to him. Despite her growing love for Rito, her friendship with Lala causes her to suppress her feelings since she doesn't want to hurt Lala who also loves Rito. However, with some encouragement, she eventually tells Lala of her feelings for Rito which Lala accepts, stating that Haruna is her rival for Rito's heart, while still remaining friends.
In the anime, there is a running gag where Rito is about to confess to her, only for something (or someone) to come between them. They finally confessed to each other in Chapter 75 & 76 within gym storage.
Haruna is affiliated with Sainan High's tennis club and also is left handed.
Appearance Haruna has blue hair and purple eyes, she has quite a cute complexion which most boys seem to like. She always wears a red vertical hair clip on the left of her head.
According to Sawada Mio, Haruna's measurements are B79-W56-H82. Despite being considered physically attractive for a girl her age, she often feels inferior being surrounded by girls like Lala and Yui, who are far more developed physically.
Personality A highly responsible person, Haruna's personality can sway her classmate's hearts to vote for her as their class representative, even when she did not run as a candidate.
Haruna is also a very kind, understanding and patient person, to the point that she's polite to everyone around her, especially to Rito. Despite his perverted clumsiness, she always forgives him in time. However, she does occasionally slap him for it out of fear, even though she is fully aware that he does not do it on purpose, but she forgives him very quickly.
In the beginning, she had feelings for Rito, but did not express them until she started hanging out with Lala, after which she started showing signs of jealousy. This did not prevent her from becoming good friends with Lala. Once when she was intoxicated off of Deviluke herbs, she couldn't help but cling on to Rito (while half naked and wet) and said that he's all hers for the moment (Darkness Chapter 26).
Haruna secretly enjoys Rito's kindness; one time he found her when she had been turned into a cat by one of Lala's inventions and, unaware that it was Haruna, started playing with her, which she claimed was like being in heaven. It is her genuine wish to be with Rito, though her shyness and Rito's clumsiness stand as the obstacles for her to advance.
As the series continues, she begins to fantasize the moment where she found herself being with Rito romantically, but quickly shakes them off and blushes. It is hinted that Haruna is a perverted girl as well, because she even thinks about ecchi moments with Rito in secret.
She has a severe fear of ghosts and the supernatural with the exception being Oshizu Murasame, but only for a while. When frightened, she has a habit of grabbing the nearest thing around her – typically Rito – and swinging wildly, in an attempt to get rid of whatever frightens her.
History When Haruna was 13, her parents moved because of her father getting a job in another city. However, she and her older sister stayed behind because they didn't want to leave their home in Sainan.
In eighth grade, Haruna was in the same class as Rito, which has been stated to be the last time that Haruna and Rito were classmates (prior to the start of the series). Haruna first took notice of his existence when he won the school festival for his class. One time when the school garden was vandalized, Rito, who was caught on the scene was mistakenly presumed to be the guilty party. Haruna, knowing how much he cares for his own garden, was the only one who believed in his innocence. Unknown to her, Rito overheard her defense of him and was touched by her belief in him, which was the origin of his feelings for her.
Powers and Abilities Ch58 pg10 With sword Rito in hand, Haruna remains undefeated in combat. Immense Strength: Even though she seems shy and weak, she has more strength in her than everyone thinks she has, which is occasionally revealed rather comically. Her strength is often shown when she is in a state of panic or frightened of something, and she becomes capable of lifting, swinging and throwing an actual person (mainly Rito) and knocking and fighting back the thing she's scared of. Tennis Skill: Haruna is quite skilled in tennis, as she is a member of the tennis team and club. Improvising: She is also good at improvising, like when she and her friends were inside the virtual reality game Trouble Quest, she skillfully used a sword, comparing it to how she uses a tennis racket, or using an actual person as weapon when bare-handed. Natural Leader: She has also shown to have great leadership skills and is able to keep everyone calm when they are panicking.
- #20Momioka Risa

Risa Momioka is Haruna and Mio's best friend and Rito and Lala's classmate. She is very fun-loving, mischievous and perverted. She enjoys talking about naughty things, teasing Rito, and her favorite thing to do is groping the breasts of other girls and whisper naughty things into their ears to tease them. Risa is possibly bisexual, as there are explicit scenes showing her perverted actions towards both males and females, or lust towards woman's body.
She is also part of her school's tennis club like Haruna, but she mostly skips it to do other things like karaoke.
Appearance Risa is an attractive girl with dirty blond colored hair and dark brown eyes. She has a curvaceous figure (though not at the level of Lala or Yui), and her 3-sizes are B83-W60-H85. She sometimes has trouble keeping boys at bay. Of all her classmates she is probably the most willing to use her figure to attract attention, save for comedic scenes.
It's also notable that when in school, she does not wear a tie, which is included and supposedly required with the uniforms of female students.
Risa likes wearing her school uniform even on days off, seeing it as a brand itself.
Personality Risa tease Risa teasing Rito, much to her and Mio's amusement and Rito's chagrin Risa is quite indecent, as she always goes around groping other girls' breasts and suggesting how something would lead to an erotic situation. She also enjoys teasing other people about sexual things, getting amusement out of their confused and/or bashful responses. She can be nosy and likes to joke about other people's personal business like their love lives, such as when she asks Yui if there is someone she has in mind or giving Lala bad advice about her relationship with Rito. She and Mio tend to enjoy anything "ecchi" that happens around them, like Mea's Trans-ability to increase her bust size. Risa is in fact so amazingly perverted that even Momo is impressed, intimidated, and vexed by her technique when Risa gropes her in the shower.
It is possible that Risa is bisexual, as evidenced by her admiration and magnetic attraction to the female body, and in chapter 40.5 in the manga (To love Ru Darkness), we see a side of Risa's lecherous approach towards Momo. Strong yuri was implied in that chapter as Risa was sexually touching Momo and playing with her tail while it was between Risa's legs. It is not known how Risa feels towards Rito. Whether it's a boy or a girl, Risa is generally drawn to people whom she can freely tease sexually.
In contrast to her outwardly cheerful personality, Risa confided in Rito that she sometimes gets lonely at night which is likely caused by her frequently absent parents.[1][2] Due to how Risa describes her loneliness, it is likely at least part of her motivation to seek out pleasurable interactions.
Relationships Risa is a very mischievous and perverted girl. And so, she likes to be around shy and unwilling people whom she can tease and play with easily.
Yūki Rito It is not known what Rito and Risa feel for each other, but it could be assumed that they are generally friends, or at least acquainted through Haruna. While various other girls consider Rito to be a pervert, Risa knows that he is an innocent boy to a fault and likes to tease him about sexual subjects.
Rito wishes that the naive Lala would stop taking lewd ideas from Risa and Mio. Risa doesn't take Rito's nervousness around sex and temptation seriously, and likes to play with his shyness around girls and occasionally gropes the breasts of other girls in front of him, knowing that she's making him feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
Very early in the story, she didn't think much of him as anything special. In chapter 147 and episode 10 of Motto To Love-Ru, she takes a much closer and bolder approach in teasing him, but it is still unclear that the feelings are totally platonic since Risa seem to only toy with Rito and her feelings could just be lust. She has gone on record that saying he can be helpful, innocent, and even cute when he overreacts to things.
In a To Love-Ru Darkness side story, when Momo asked her what type of guy she likes, she answers it was someone like Rito, but it was hinted that Risa actually likes shy-types of people, since Rito is the only shy guy in the series that gets totally flustered in the face of provocative occurrences as opposed to lusting after beautiful women. Another evidence that prove Risa likes shy types of people is that she shows strong perverted action towards Haruna and Yui, since both girls are uncomfortable with perverted mischief, especially towards Haruna, who is really subtle and shy. It was as also revealed in chapter 40.5 of (To love Ru Darkness), as Momo ran way in embarrassment, she commented how cute Momo was and that it reminded her of a certain someone (likely Rito). But has shown to Harbor some feelings to him (episode 10 of Motto To Love-Ru).
She would try once again to be close to Rito but, under Nemesis control, Rito teases her. However, they were prevented from doing something shameless by Yui and Nana. After Rito was gone, Risa don't believe that Rito could do something like that and was not angry about him, and is hinted that she could have feelings for him, or it is just her desire to fill the void in her heart created by her busy parents.[3] She even calling him "darling" affectionately during their interrupted ecchi moment.[4]
Lala Satalin Deviluke She is good friends with Lala. Risa likes groping/complimenting her breasts and giving her intentionally wrong or lewd ideas to her questions about how to get Rito to 'like her more', which is something he really dislikes.
Momo Belia Deviluke Like with any other girl, Risa likes to tease and play with Momo. She is practically shown to be even more indecent than Momo herself, being able to make her react when she was molesting her. She has stated that she likes that reaction of hers, comparing it to Rito's.
Momo herself is also very perverted and enjoys sexual pleasure, though only by Rito. Nevertheless, it's surprising that she, of all people, would be so overwhelmed when she was 'hit on' by Risa.
Sawada Mio Risa's friend and partner in crime, she also enjoys groping girls' breasts and whispering in their ears.
Sairenji Haruna Risa's friend, whom she occasionally gropes along with her friend Mio, sometimes saying they've "grown" as a means of friendly teasing, mostly in front of Rito. Haruna often gets annoyed and even mad at her for when she talks about erotic things, especially when she involves Rito in it.
Kotegawa Yui Risa is one of the people that Yui has to tolerate the most because of her indecent behavior, like groping her's or other girls' breasts, claiming her and also Mio shameless. However Risa also calls Yui shameless for having an attractive body. Risa would sometimes tease her about these sorts of things which further angers her.
Saruyama Kenichi Along with Mio, Risa hates Saruyama; they regard him as a creep. They are annoyed with his pervertedness, which is ironic as they are perverted themselves. For Valentine's day, they also joked that the chocolates they were giving him would be his first and last chocolates.

Mio Sawada is Risa's and Haruna's best friend and one of Rito's and Lala's classmates. Mio is almost always seen with Risa and loves to take part in her usual antics. She works at a maid cafe as a waitress, and Risa is always coming there. Mio is usually seen as a minor character.
Appearance Mio has dark brown hair which have two pig tails, light brown eyes and wears glasses. According to the databook, her measurements are B73-W56-H76.
Personality Mio enjoys fondling other girls' breasts, something she can relate to with Risa. They also enjoy anything "ecchi" that happens around them, like Mea's Trans-ability to increase the size of her breasts.
Relationships Momioka Risa Risa is her best friend and her most recurring relationship. She is never seen without Risa by her side. They both enjoy groping other girls' breasts. Both women also enjoy doing perverted stuff to other girls which suggest that they could be a more of a couple duo that enjoys doing things together such as enjoying the female body together by groping other women's breasts.
Sairenji Haruna One of her close friends, whom she occasionally gropes along with her friend Risa. Sometimes she and Risa would do it in front of Rito just to mess with him.
Lala Satalin Deviluke Lala is one of her close friends who's breasts she enjoys groping along with Risa. Unlike other girls, Lala doesn't really get annoyed by them as much.
Yūki Rito She isn't exactly as close to him as Risa or Haruna are but she still enjoys messing with him about his shyness as much as Risa does.
Kotegawa Yui Yui completely hates Mio and Risa's usual antics of enjoying and doing anything that she finds "shameless". The pair would sometimes tease Yui for having a shameless body herself or if there's someone she might like.
Saruyama Kenichi Along with Risa, Mio hates Saruyama; they regard him as a creep. They are annoyed with his pervertedness, which is ironic as they are perverted themselves.

Tenjōin Saki is the arrogant self-proclaimed queen bee of the school. She is currently in her third-year. Saki consistently tries to defeat Lala in everything, stating there can only be one "queen" in Sainan High. She even tries to seduce Rito to make Lala jealous (despite not loving him), but later, she falls in love with Zastin. She once teamed up with Run Elise Jewelria to make Lala look bad in front of Rito and to prove that Saki is the queen of all things.
Appearance Saki has golden eyes and light blonde hair that's lightly permed in the back and curled into spirals over her shoulders with two small buns on both sides of her head held by red ribbons. Her 3-sizes are B84-W56-H85.
Personality The queen laughs Saki can be stuck-up and full of herself, and she is quite competitive, especially to Lala, whom she considers her greatest rival. She is determined to prove that she is a magnificent person, and even gives herself many different titles as a self-proclaimed queen. She is highly arrogant and believes that no one is greater than her. She also has a proverbial laughter that is very stereotypical to her stuck-up personality.
On the other hand, she has a kind side to her, as she saved Aya from bullies and cares for her deeply as one of her closest friends along with Rin. She basically feels competitive towards anyone who might rival her glory, but otherwise, she can be quite courteous and hospitable even towards humble people, seeing their needs and desperations if they come off well enough. She often tries to earn the love and glory she wishes to receive from people by serving them with her own wealth, such as when she hosted a Christmas party for various people and other students, when she invited classmates to her private beach, and when she served food to her servants. She is very caring towards her friends, and is polite and grateful towards her domestic workers and guardians, showing a great deal of worry for them and never looking down on them as mere servants or commoners.

Kujō Rin is Tenjōin Saki's loyal and longest known friend. Rin is skilled in kendo and has been a loyal bodyguard to Saki for years, as her family has always served the Tenjouin family in this position. The bespectacled Fujisaki Aya is weak-willed and became associated with Saki after she and Rin protected her from bullies when they were children.
Appearance Rin has brown hair that she ties in a ponytail by a blue scrunchie with bangs hanging on either side while she has chest-length hair strands hanging on either side, brown eyes and she is often seen with an emotionless face. Her 3-sizes are B86-W60-H86.
On times, Rin is also shown to wear an outfit that constants of a dark blue colored short-sleeve shirt that is underneath a flap dark purple colored shirt with white/tan colored pants.
Personality Rin is generally expressionless and formal, but she can get really angry when it comes to Yūki Rito's clumsiness towards her, Fujisaki Aya, and most of all, Tenjōin Saki, who she is very loyal to. Although she has shown to smile practically once to Rito as a sign of understanding, it didn't last long due to another one of his mishaps. She thinks his sister is more reliable than he is. However, Rin began developing feelings with Rito in Darkness Chapter 33 when he saved her, and became more patient and grateful with him.
History Rin has served Tenjōin Saki as her bodyguard, but Saki has always thought of her as a close friend instead. They first met when Rin came to Saki in the garden introducing herself as the daughter of the Tenjouin family's butler and then tells her that she will be serving her starting from that day. Saki acted friendly towards Rin and welcomed her company as her friend, and Rin was deeply touched by it. Although most of the time, Rin maintained a professional manner and service around Saki, she truly considers Saki as a close friend.
It was later revealed that Rin suffers from Acrophobia, the extreme or irrational fear of heights.
Powers and Abilities Swordsmanship: Rin is known to practice Kendo, and is often seen carrying a shinai. The only times she is seen using Kendo are either when training or when she's mad at Yūki Rito whenever his clumsiness results in him groping her, Tenjōin Saki or Fujisaki Aya. She has also beaten up the principal time from time. Because she does not involve herself with Rito, his alien friends or their adventures and antics, she is mostly left out of any potentially dangerous situation, and so the full extent of her expertise in Kendo has not yet been seen. Marksmanship: On chapter 83, Rin has shown to also have some sharpshooting skills. Appellations Character What they call her What she calls them Yūki Rito Kujou-senpai Yuuki Rito Tenjōin Saki Rin Saki-sama Fujisaki Ayako Rin Aya Yūki Mikan Rin-san (initially Kujou-san) Mikan (initially Yuuki Mikan)

Fujisaki Aya is Tenjōin Saki's loyal and assisting friend. The bespectacled Aya is weak-willed and became associated with Saki after she and Kujō Rin protected her from bullies when they were children.
So far, Aya has served little purpose throughout the series besides following and supporting her Saki-sama, whom she idolizes. She is essentially something of an extra to their group, and has never been seen without accompanying her friends.
Appearance To LOVEる ダークネス 2nd - 設定資料 a Aya's full body in Season 2 Aya has upper-back length blue hair that has square bangs hanging over her forehead with chest-length hair strands on hanging either side and purple eyes which are rarely seen through the big round lenses of her glasses.
Her 3-sizes are B81-W54-H81.
Personality The most known aspect of Aya's personality is her fangirl-like adoration of Tenjōin Saki, whom she looks up to and cares for the most in her life. She is also one of the few girls who don't have any romantic feelings towards Yūki Rito. Instead, most of her admiration goes to Saki and naturally hates his perverted accidents, especially if it's towards her or Kujō Rin and most of all Saki.
History As a child, Aya was always bullied by boys until Tenjōin Saki (along with Kujō Rin) stood up to them and protected her from them, ever since that day Aya has always followed her and looked up to her with great respect.
Powers and Abilities Despite her age, Aya is seen to be capable of driving and working heavy machinery like a crane. Although this was only seen in the anime, which takes more uncanon and cartoonish liberties to the plot.
Relationships with Other Characters Tenjōin Saki Aya respects and cares for Saki a lot, they are also really close friends. As a child, she was often bullied and Saki protected her. So far, Aya has served little purpose throughout the series besides following and supporting her Saki-sama, whom she idolizes. She has never been seen without accompanying her friends, being something of an extra to their group. But Saki does care greatly for Aya as well as Kujō Rin, and wouldn't take the chance to study abroad if it meant leaving her friends.
Being weak-willed and nothing truly remarkable, Aya is perhaps one of the few evidences that the usually arrogant Saki Tenjouin has a good and kinder side towards lesser people.
Kujō Rin Even though Aya and Rin are always seen together with Saki and they both admire her, they don't exactly have any other thing in common and Aya shows more admiration to Tenjōin Saki than Rin does, as Rin often shows less emotion.
They first met each other when Saki and Rin saw Aya being bullied by a group of boys, and Saki insisted on helping her, while Rin just followed her. Since then, Aya has always followed them.
It's not quite known how Rin and Aya feel towards each other but they are really good friends to each other, although they more often follow and pay attention to Saki. They have not often been seen interacting directly to each other without concerning Saki.

Motemitsu Taizō is a minor recurring character in the To Love-Ru series.
Appearance Motemitsu has grey eyes and short spiky dark yellow hair, he is seemingly tall and good-looking. In To Love-Ru Darkness, his hair is now brighter, slightly longer and spikier.
Personality Taizō is a wannabe playboy who constantly goes around flirting with girls, but despite that, he's still quite a loser. He is shown to have confidence in saying something bold while hitting on girls, but he seems to have horrible luck in doing so and gets depressed whenever it doesn't go his way.
He is also quite perverted as he was once suspended for two weeks for taking photos of the girls at the school swimming pool.
Plot Motemitsu appears for the first time in chapter 5, where he asks Lala out on a date, but she immediately rejects him.
His major role is in chapter 12 and 13 where he plan to take photos of the girls at the school swimming pool, but is stopped from Rito who mistakes him for one of Lala's alien suitors.
After this, Motemitsu doesn't have a major role throughout the series apart from mostly being used for humor, such as hitting on almost every new female character who makes her appearance but always gets rejected or ignored. He would always have followers who loudly praise his every bold flirting approaches and (humorously) also his every failures.

Yui Kotegawa is a secondary female protagonist, who belongs in Rito's class throughout the second year. She is also the head of the school disciplinary committee.
Yui appears a high-strung girl who behaves in strong tsundere personality, and is very strict against inappropriate manners. Like most of the other girls in the series, she also becomes a love interest of Rito, despite she is more reluctant to admit it other than most of these girls, due to her tsundere personality.
Appearance Kotegawayui0122033 Yui's full body and facial expressions Yui has waist-length black hair that has long bangs hanging over her forehead, golden eyes and she is often seen with an angry or grumpy face. According to Sawada Mio, her measurements are B88-W59-H87.
Breast envy Yui and Lala seen as "Perfect Beauties" by envious Haruna. In contrast to her prudish nature, Yui sports a nearly identical curvaceous figure to the far more open Lala Satalin Deviluke and the pair are often idolized by other girls for their beautiful figures. They are so attractive that they are seen as perfect beauties, which leads characters such as Sairenji Haruna, who would otherwise be considered perfectly normal for her age to feel inferior. Ironically, they both are mostly oblivious to this.
To Yui, however, her generous figure has become a source of embarrassment for her. A fact that is exploited by Momioka Risa and others to tease her. Yui herself has confirmed that she started wearing bras in middle school showing that she was an early bloomer.
Personality Shameless! Yui's trademark word
Yui Kotegawa is a high-strung and uptight girl, she has little to no tolerance for anything perverted, students who bring personal items to school, misbehaving, or whatever she does not consider to be "acceptable behavior". Her opinions, quick temper, and habit of speaking her mind often results in her vocally reprimanding classmates. Yui quickly grows annoyed and disgusted by eccentricities and bizarre actions, especially with regards to Yūki Rito and Lala Satalin Deviluke.
Unfortunately, almost every encounter with Rito usually ends up with her embarrassed, naked or fondled (sometimes all three combined), and although her nature prevents her from easing her behavior, she is slowly warming up to his usual antics. After Rito saves Yui from a group of delinquents, she develops feelings for him. Her inexperience with boys leaves her unable to understand her own feelings and continually denies them to herself.
When Rito usually asks what is wrong, she says the exact opposite of what she wants to say and then yells at him in some way (a typical Tsundere), she tends to blush every time someone mentions him and also thinks about him through something irrelevant like when Momioka Risa asked if she had anyone she likes or him complimenting on her yukata or even when seeing Yūsaki Riko. For some time now she has come to realize that she is in love with Rito, a fact she is annoyed about given her opinion of him. Deep down (despite being strongly against lewd things) she actually desires to do these things with him. On one occasion, during one of Rito's accidents, she offered herself to him, on the condition that he would only ever do it with her (To-Love-Ru Darkness Chapter 4). This may also be a hint which shows her hypocrisy towards things she considered "shameless", or this is just a typical trait of those who are tsundere. She has been seen fantasizing about being together with him and Celine, as his wife and being pregnant with his child.
Eventually, Yui gained the ability to recognize Rito's trademark clumsiness that she witnesses whenever he trips, even when he is disguised as someone else.
Despite her seemingly cold and stern facade, Yui is in fact a generally kind and sweet person at heart.
She also really likes cats – owning cat based books, having tons of stuff cat dolls which she decorates her room with along with other cat-shaped things, shaping her Valentine chocolate into a cat's face, and even having a cat-themed floaty, something Rito seems to find cute about her. She would secretly go to pet stores to look at cats. she would get embarrassed if anyone were to find out about this.
History Yui at 5th grade Yui at 5th grade In her childhood, Yui despised all boys because of how violent, insensitive and above all shameless they can be and stated that they caused her much hardship as a class rep in the 5th grade. She would try to protect girls from boys who would do these things to them, and because of this she thinks that any kind of love or romance is shameless since it meant being close to a boy. Her view of this changes slightly when she first met Yūki Rito. She saw him willingly saving a cat from a tree, the same cat she was unable to save and no other boy she asked even cared (although it was a few years later during a flashback that Yui remembered this event and Rito's being in it. Kotegawa Yū is Yui's older brother and a ladies' man, which she dislikes about him.
Appearance Yuu is a tall and fit young man who has light brown spiky hair and gray eyes. He also wears a necklace around his neck.
Personality Yuu is a quite, calm and easygoing guy who is something of a ladies' man, but he can also be very protective of women when he sees them in trouble. He enjoys teasing his sister about her relationship with Rito, like mentioning him in front of her and their parents.
Plot Yuu appears in Chapter 86 for the first time with his date. After finding Rito and Yui being chased by hoodlums, he beats them up without being seen from her sister and the boy. Noticing Yui's interaction with a boy like Rito, he hopes Yui will grow to be more mature.
In chapter 120, he meets Rito directly when he come to their house to give Yui her homework because she caught a cold and didn't come to school. Yuu insists Rito to meet with Yui and, he later mistakes an embarassaring situation between Rito and Yui before leaving, thinking her sister made much progress and this was unexpected.
Since then, Yuu has taken notice of Yui's relationship with Rito. He can easily read his sister's poorly hidden feelings and her love for Rito, and is eager to see Yui become more open to romance through Rito. Every now and then, most of his appearance would show him teasing his sister about stuff like going on a date with Rito.
Relationships with Other Characters Kotegawa Yui Yuu is Yuu's little sister. She greatly dislikes how he can be a ladies' man and how he always brings up Rito in front of her, to which she occasionally overreacts and blushes, something he enjoys teasing her about. He is aware that she has feelings for Rito and finds her very easy to read. He can also be very supportive of her sometimes. Yuu hopes that she will be more mature and accept her love for Rito.
Yūki Rito Yuu first noticed Rito when he saw him trying to defend Yui, and has since been interested in keeping track of his sister's relationship with Rito. He would often mention his name at home in front of Yui, just to make fun of her.
After speaking with each other (and sharing a beating from Yami, due to him complementing her clothes and Rito getting into a perverted mishap), he understands more about Rito's life with aliens and all the misfortunes happening around him. He sympathizes with Rito, but remarks that at least his life is more exciting. Rito seems to like Yuu, as he finds him to be a really cool and understandable person.
He is one of several people who knows that Yūsaki Riko is in fact Rito.

Sairenji Akiho is Haruna's older sister. Due to their parents moving away, Haruna decided to stay living with her older sister in her apartment instead. It has not been specified what she does to support herself and Haruna, but she mentions her boss as being "editor in chief".[1]
Appearance Akiho is a reasonably tall and highly attractive woman with long purple hair and eyes. The shape of her face and eyes bare some resemblance to those of her younger sister Haruna, though she is taller and more curvaceous.
Personality Akiho is very mature, though in an adult-like way, and she is a casual dater. She enjoys dating boys, but has no desire for a serious relationship and only intends to "play with them for a while".
Akiho is extremely popular with the guys (having received confessions from two men at the same time), but she continuously turns them down, as her sister states she is not looking for love at the moment. She has been dating Kotegawa Yū, though she isn't taking the relationship seriously.
Relationships with Other Characters Sairenji Haruna Akiho's little sister who she occasionally would enjoys teasing over certain things like having friends over and mentioning embarrassing stuff to them, which Haruna greatly dislikes, although they do get along closely. She is aware of Haruna's romantic feelings for Rito and is "gleefully" supportive of them.

Kanji マロン Rōmaji Maron Planet Earth Hair Color Black and white Eye Color Black Personal Status Occupation Pet Dog Relatives Sairenji Haruna (Owner) Sairenji Akiho (Owner) Unusual Features - Really weird-looking face
- Enjoys licking girls in perverted manner
Maron is Haruna Sairenji's pet dog.
Appearance Maron is a really small Boston Terrier dog with a black and white color scheme, which is mostly white and black on his back over his head. He has big round black eyes and is always seen with his tongue out. He is described by a few characters to have a goofy yet cute face.
Personality Maron often describes himself as a "Proud Boston Terrier". Maron has the utmost respect for Haruna, because she takes such good care of him. Maron sees himself as a freeloader, and feels that he must protect and comfort Haruna. Maron hates baths, however, he would never let Haruna know that. He describes his full name as Maron Sairenji after his owners.
Maron believes that licking is a pet's greatest form of affection to its master, and he takes great pride in his "skills" in licking, apparently not knowing its perverted appearance on a female human. In chapter 44, after Rito became a dog because of Lala's body-switching invention, Haruna ignorantly brought him home to take care of him, and Maron aggressively teaches him to lick Haruna, which Rito reluctantly forced himself to do before running away in shame.
Maron has a wild animalistic side which he has a hard time controlling, like getting distracted over a butterfly or uncontrollably lick Nana or Momo's tails from just seeing them waving in front of him.
Powers and Abilities Nana Maron MTLR EP11 02 Maron licking Nana's tail. Master of Licking: Maron is, for the most part, an ordinary dog. But he does possess an unusual ability to lick any girl into complete submission. He is able to lick Haruna and Mea in multiple parts all over their bodies seemingly at the same time, receiving no resistance from either of them even when he is licking their private parts. Towards Nana and Momo, he instinctively jumps to and licks their tails, which are their weaknesses. Maron perhaps possesses an innate and unconscious ability to know which parts of a girl are most sensitive to his licking. Strong Sense Of Smell: As a dog, he also has keen sense of smell, though he generally uses his sense of smell to identify girls. Intelligence: Although this could be due to the series' comical surrealism, Maron also appears to be rather intelligent for a dog. He is able to understand Haruna when she speaks out her thoughts, and knows that she has a crush on Rito Yuuki. He also speaks in a very civil manner with Nana, and has a very human-like personality, albeit with a dog's common sense. Relationships with Other Characters Sairenji Haruna His owner, whom he respects the most for always taking care of him. Maron describes Haruna as having a mild and soft-hearted scent. He is aware of Haruna's feelings towards Rito, saying that she has love problems.
Sairenji Akiho Akiho is his actual owner. But due to always working, Haruna is always the one taking care of Maron.
Nana Astar Deviluke As Nana is able to speak with animals, she and Maron occasionally speak to each other. She asked Maron to help console her friend, Mea and Maron proceeded to aggressively lick all over her, causing her to develop a fetish for being licked.

Saruyama Kenichi is the perverted best friend and school mate of Rito who has known him since junior high where he is more open and obvious of his obsession with girls and he is one of the few male characters Rito can talk to about his situations involving Haruna or Lala. He is aware of Rito's feelings for Haruna and consistently advises he get together with her. Saruyama reveals that he has a crush on a girl named Yūsaki Riko, but does not realize she is actually Rito, who is accidentally transformed into a girl by one of Lala's bizarre inventions.
Being one of the few significant male characters of the series, Saruyama's role is generally that of a luckless loser who desires but never gets a girl, and an underdog to the more popular male protagonist.
Appearance Saruyama has black eyes and black spiky back hair, most of which is pointing back.
Personality Saruyama is quite perverted, He would try to peek in to girls hot spring and bring Rito along, and if ever caught he would put all the blame on Rito, he doesn't seem to care about the consequences about his perverted actions. He can be really jealous of Rito (along with almost all the boys in the school) because how close he is with a lot of pretty and popular girls. In the first chapter, it is also shown that he has bikini model posters and magazines in his bedroom, further cementing his perversity.
He currently has a crush on a girl named Yūsaki Riko, who unknown to him is actually Rito transformed into a girl by Lala's inventions. Sometimes he would imagine being in romantic (or ecchi) situation with her, which Rito understandably finds disturbing. Saruyama is no less a pervert and a loser around "Riko" as he is any other time when he talks about girls, which disgusts Rito.
Plot In the original series, Saruyama would appear casually, almost never without Rito around. He would mostly a hang out with Rito, going on beach trips or to swimming pools with others of the main cast, sometimes he would give Rito chances for him to be alone with Haruna (although he would also try to get in perverted situations with her and other girls) and talk to Rito about how great breasts are. Saruyama would never miss a chance to peak on girls bath and would bring Rito along and make him take the blame if ever caught. Every now and then, he would feel jealous of how close Rito is towards girls.
In To Love-Ru Darkness, Saruyama appears less frequent and continues to be angry and jealous of Rito because of how close he is to all the pretty girls and getting in good/ecchi situations. He also joins the Principal as they chase after girls often; whenever either of them try to do so, it doesn't seem end well. He still has a crush on "Riko".
Relationships Yūki Rito His most notable relationship is his best friend Rito. The two have known each other for a long time and he is the closest male friend Rito has. Saruyama seems to understand Rito's shyness and clumsiness around girls almost better than anyone else. He wasn't at all surprised when Rito failed again to confess his love to Haruna. Saruyama has made some attempts to help Rito get together with Haruna. He also noticed how much Rito has changed around women since he started hanging with Lala.
Although they are friends, they both have certain dislikes towards each other. Rito doesn't like how other students see them grouped together when Saruyama starts acting and talking like a pervert. Saruyama envies Rito for being close to Lala and many other girls, even though he already has feelings for Haruna. Still, the two are on good terms on some occasions.
Saruyama is unaware that Rito is actually "Riko", the girl he has a crush on.
Lala Satalin Deviluke In the original manga, Lala sometimes helped Saruyama out, such as when he wanted to go on a date with "Riko". The two are friends through Rito, though they aren't particularly close and he is one of the few people besides teachers that Lala is on a last name basis with. Saruyama finds Lala highly attractive, due to her big boobs, though he also finds her shrunk down form cute. This likely explains how he uses the "-chan" honorific when referring to her.
Sairenji Haruna Saruyama isn't exactly close with Haruna and she hates it when he makes perverted comments, although the two are still friends. Sometimes Saruyama would try to get Rito alone with Haruna so he can confess his feelings to her, but he would also try to get into an ecchi moment with her (as he does with most girls) which fails in the end.

Murasame Shizu, usually addressed as "Oshizu" the O is an honorific used to refer to women, is the ghost of a girl who died in the old abandoned school building 400 years ago. Since her meeting with Rito and the others, she begins exploring the world outside the old school building.
Oshizu is aware of Haruna's crush on Rito by her ability to sense feelings while possessing another person and becomes very supportive towards cheering Haruna into confessing her feelings to him. Her real name is Murasame Shizu, but she likes to be called Oshizu better.
TLR CH105 Cover
Appearance To-LOVE-Ru ch089 06-M7- Oshizu has long blue-violet hair and irises eyes. In her ghost form, she wears a white kimono and purple sash, she also has light colored wisps floating around her, can be slightly see-through and instead of legs she has a ghostly tail (though during an OVA episode, her legs could be seen, though comically when Yami accidentally "cut" her ghost tail down). She looks the same in her human body only without any ghost features, and when working at Mikado's clinic, she is seen wearing a pink nurse's uniform. She always wears two beige ribbons in her hair. Her artificial body's measurements are 82-56-81.
Personality Oshizu is sincere, kind, and very curious about the modern world and has a severe case of cynophobia (fear of dogs), likened to Sairenji Haruna's level of fear to the supernatural (who also has a pet dog), the cause of this is unknown. When frightened of other things, she can emit blasts of mental stress, blowing apart various objects and surroundings with her poltergeist power, she occasionally "disconnects" from her body during brief moments of excitement or being frightened by dogs. Oshizu can also be a bit of a blockhead because she easily misinterprets certain situations and can go off topic. Oshizu is quite determined about helping Haruna confess her love for Rito by using her powers. But that usually ends up in a perverted accident.
Oshizu is very old-fashioned as seen in OVA 1 and Ch. 102, when she used a Japanese brush to draw Japanese women.
History Oshizu comes from an era that was described as a "living hell" due to a lot of people desperately starving from a famine due to a drought. The cause of her death is unknown. It is hinted in the 4koma that she was used as a sacrifice to try to make it rain.
After 400 years, Oshizu "returns" to the living after Ryoko Mikado creates a prosthetic body for her to inhabit, built with biological qualities (looking and feeling like an actual, human body) and has become a recurring character in the series, even attending Sainan high. She currently works as an assistant for Mikado. In the first anime, Oshizu is not given a new body and her presence is limited, while in the OVA and Motto To Love-Ru and so on, she has her own body as she does in the manga.
Powers and Abilities Ch37 pg38 The usual result of Oshizu using her powers. And it will always be Rito who gets punished. Ghost Physiology: As a ghost, she is capable of flight, intangibility, psychokinesis, etc. while in her human body most of her ghost powers are limited but she is still able to use abilities such as psychokinesis and poltergeist. However, Mikado said that if Oshizu overuses her powers, her spirit would disappear. Although she technically has good intentional control over her powers, her vulnerability to distractions as well as her panics around dogs make her easily lose control, with disastrous results. Interestingly, when her powers go berserk, they inexplicably cause all kinds of perverted mishaps around Rito, such as stripping the clothes of girls in front of him, or throwing them over each other into a provocative position.
Flight: A most basic ghost ability, Oshizu is capable of flying. However, she seems only capable of this after detaching herself from her artificial physical body. It is unknown to what height and distance she is able to fly, as she was never seen traveling far from the abandoned school building she was haunting, or from her synthetic body. Intangibility: Another basic ghost ability that lets her phase through walls, which she can also only do after detaching from her artificial body. Possession: Haruna x Oshizu merge Oshizu accidentally possessing Haruna. Oshizu is capable of possessing others and control their movements. While she possesses others, she can also enter their subconscious and look through their memories and understand their feelings, especially feelings towards others. This ability is similar to Mea's Psycho-Dive. While no further details are given, it seems, that this ability also brings possible danger of Oshizu permanently fusing with soul of compatible person whose body she possess, if she stays in that body for too long. As nearly happened, when she accidentally possesed Haruna, and nearly ended with Oshizu overwriting Haruna's consciousness, or Oshizu herself being nearly consumed, when she tried possess Mea. However in that case it could be also because Mea was already possessed by Nemesis at that time. Extrasensory Perception: Oshizu has extrasensory perception, which allows her to sense aura. She was able to sense the aura of another ghost that haunted Zastin's apartment. She was also able to sense the activation of Yami's Darkness Transformation even from a long distance. Concentrated Psychokinetic Power: By pointing with her fingers, she is able to move objects with her mind without any physical contact and create poltergeists. She can also use this to control the bodies of other people without possessing them. She can create huge forces of shockwaves that can blast through walls and create force fields strong enough to seal a micro black hole. Although when frightened she loses control over this power for a moment, often leading to perverted results. Psycho-Pyrokinesis: She can also use her psychokinesis to control the wisps floating around her (when in ghost form) to target her opponents and set them on fire similar to pyrokinesis. It's unknown if this affects other living things or just other spirits. Exorcism: Oshizu is also capable of exorcism, which she has shown by pulling out the spirit that possessed Zastin. Additionally, she can force a spirit back into its own body in a brief moment when it just leaves the body. Comically, she did that when the homeroom teacher Honekawa's spirit left his body, miraculously "reviving" him. Medical Skills: Due to being Mikado's assistant, Oshizu picked up some medical skills to be able to heal others. But she can be quite clumsy and would hurt others instead, especially when frightened.

The Venus Momo Club, or "VMC" for short, is a fan club for Momo Belia Deviluke, with Nakajima as the one in charge and his aide Sugimura. It is completely comprised of all the love-struck boys who are in love with Momo. They take their work very seriously, having a club song for her, and demanding all boys to require their permission to talk to her.
Role The role is to adore, satisfy all the caprices of Momo. The services include to clean up for making Momo's desk brilliant , to carry her possessions such as books, to clean the path, to open the door, although they merely possibly seem to have other roles for Momo's satisfaction. Nobody is not allowed to close to Momo, They are also bodyguards who are checked when she goes to some part where men are not allowed to enter, such as bathroom or changing room, and she doesn't allow that any man spies on. They have the hope that someday, Momo seemingly chooses one of them to become her boyfriend.

At first Momo thought it was cute, but soon they started following her around constantly to protect her, essentially preventing boys, or anyone, from talking with her, and inadvertently stopping her from being able to meet anyone. She quickly grew very annoyed by their constant watch and them obnoxiously forming blockades around her and preventing her from seeing Rito or any of her friends, or advance The Harem Plan. She often ditches them to be with Rito or to be alone. Everytime time they find her to talk to her, or present a new theme song about her, she feels that they caught her, clearly feeling that she doesn't want to be around them.
Thoughts on Rito Rito Momo TLRD EP12 02 Rito doing lewd thing to Momo in Nakajima's imagination. Rito Yuuki is public enemy number one to them, thinking he is just a cold-hearted womanizer. It does not help that Yui Kotegawa's tsundere attitude often brings up Rito during moral committee meetings to accuse him of being as dangerous as the Principal. At first they think that Rito would horrible things to Momo for his own pleasure, like kidnap her put her in a chain tied to a wall and force her to eat melting ice cream in a bathing suit, or stuff water balloons into her yukata, though it's clear that these are just Nakajima's own perverted fantasies of Momo.
VMC TLRD EP12 06 Rito is caught by VMC. One time they found Rito with Momo alone together in an equipment shed and without thinking, they proceeded to barrage Rito mafia-style with air soft guns as punishment for trapping her, not knowing that actually Momo lured him there. This sparked evil Momo and told them to apologize to Rito and never hurt him again. This, however, received an even more abnormal reaction from them, and they found great sensation and pleasure just being punished by her.
Logo VMC TLRD EP12 02 Their club logo consists of a symbol that looks like an upside down heart (thus naming the club "Venus", the goddess of love), or a Japanese peach (in Japanese, "Momo" means peach), or a spade with devilish wings below it. It also has a huge M in the center (futher symbolising Momo) and an upside down spade above it.
Plot To Love-Ru Darkness This organisation debuted in the chapter 17 of To Love-Ru Darkness, in a meeting where they found the club and confirm Momo's age (it is the same as Nana's age because they are twins) and her three sizes. This is established by several students of various classes of Sainan High. In this opportunity the organisation would appear to serve Momo for doing several action of manners as opening doors, cleaning the path, helping to carry books, and others. They reached to a stage that made Momo exhausted because they couldn't be quiet and couldn't be alone with Rito. This was finally equal to embarrass her. When Momo was changing her clothes for going to classes of physical education, she escaped. And this makes the club believe that Rito had kidnapped her and was doing perverted thing to her, weighing this making crazy and began to look for her.when they met Momo and Rito, they hit Rito with air guns and made her upset and were forced to apologise to and didn't harm Rito.
In the chapter 21, they appear to announce Momo for the new members of the VMC.
In the chapter 23, Some of the members, Nakajima and Sugimura appear for meeting with Momo and Rito. They gave Momo the yukata that she wore and was asked if they could accompany with her although they ceased when they saw that Rito accompanied with her. Then they tried to Rito saying Momo that Rito was a brute and could do perverted things to her, as if he was going to force her eat many sugary apples and was going to put a water balloon onto her yukata, to aim at this, Nakajima was turned into a doing madman that Sugiyama had to calm him down and when entertained Momo and Rito.
In the cahapter 27, they appear to sing a song to Momo and to frighten Rito who had been turned into a mouse.
In anime, this organisation is founded in the episode 12, and directed by Nakajima.

Ren Elsie Jewelria is a childhood friend of Lala and the male form of Run Elsie Jewelria. As Ren and Run are royalty from planet Memorze, they can change gender in mind and body upon triggering a specific stimulus; in their case, a sneeze. Ren likes Lala, while Run likes Rito. Ren hates Rito because Lala likes him, while Run hates Lala because Rito likes her.
Appearance Ren has hot pink eyes and the top of his hair is white with two points sticking out, while the bottom back part is black, during his first appearance many girls took a liking to his looks.
However in the To Love Ru Darkness manga the top of Ren's hair is shown to be light blue and dark blue on the bottom back.
Personality Ren's personality can be described as determined, but stubborn (especially where Lala is concerned). In the first series of To-Love-Ru, he constantly tries to prove that he is a real man to Lala, who passively promised to marry him if he became more manly (although she doesn't recall it) by competing against Rito to pointless challenges. Ren would overly complement on Lala's beauty and her kindness towards others.
In To-Love-Ru Darkness, Ren's appearances become less frequent, but he seems to have become more calm and mature. He doesn't seem to try to impress Lala or try to compete against Rito anymore, so it's possible that he has accepted him as Lala's lover, although Ren still shows his love for her.
History As a child, Ren sometimes would be taken to Deviluke to play with Lala. Despite all the trouble she put him through with all her experiments and mischief, he apparently falls in love with her and cherishes all of those memories with her. However, his female counterpart remained angry at Lala for all of the abusive fun Lala had with them. Ren one time asked Lala if they would get married if he becomes a real man, which she agreed to but doesn't remember it.
Taking it for face value, upon arrival on Earth, Ren arrives to prove that he's manlier than Rito and he enter in 1-A class. But his attempts to win Lala' heart are useless and, worse, an accidental kiss with Rito (chapter 23) make his alter-ego Run fall in love for the rival.
In chapter 50, Ren is put in another class and get separated from Lala and friends. Indeed, the boy start to appear less more in the story.
In chapter 9 of To Love-Ru Darkness, Run and Ren permanently separated into two separate beings after reaching 'adulthood'.
Powers and Abilities Strength: Ren is shown (comically) to have great strength, most notably in episode 12 of the original anime series, he is seen carrying a really huge weapon. Speed: Ren is also shown (comically) to have great speed, like in episode 12, he outran everyone by multiple laps. However Ren is unable to control his speed while carrying something incredibly heavy. Former Powers and Abilities Alternate personalities: Both Memorzian genders have their own separate personalities. Ren is capable of communicating with Run within his subconscious (this also works for Run). The inactive personality can also feel whatever the active personality physically feels, like when Ren kissed Rito, Run had also felt it. This is no longer the case after they have reached adulthood and now each possess their own separate bodies. Gender Swapping: It is said that due to evolution, those from Memorze like Ren are born with both male and female genders. Normally, Memorzorians would change monthly, but due to the differences in environment and magnetic fields on Earth, Ren and Run change after a sneeze, and both have different opinions about certain things. After reaching adulthood, they both physically separate, and Ren no longer shares a body with Run, so this ability is no longer usable.

Run Elsie Jewelria is a childhood friend of Lala and the female form of Ren Elsie Jewelria. As Run and Ren are royalty from planet Memorze, they can change gender in mind and body upon triggering a specific stimulus; in their case, a sneeze. Ren hates Rito, especially after he accidentally kissed him, but Run fell in love with Rito because of that kiss, which caused Ren to further dislike Rito.
Run becomes a famous idol and actress and releases several albums. She becomes friends with Kyouko after Run played an antagonist in her show, and now they are often seen together, even releasing a few albums together.
In To-Love-Ru Darkness Chapter 9 or To Love-Ru Darkness Episode 6, Run and Ren are permanently separated into two separate beings after reaching adulthood.
Appearance Run has hot pink eyes and has long light green hair with two points sticking out at the top. Her body appears slender and curvy.
Her 3 sizes are B83-W55-H83. She is always wearing clothing typical of Idols in Japan, especially her Blue Metalia outfit that she wears when starring at the Magical Kyouko show.
Personality Run's personality can be described as determined and obsessive (especially where Rito is concerned). On some occasions, when it comes to Rito who she loves so much, she can be quite cheery and sweet, and would often cling on to him. Run can also be a bit of a stalker to him, but entirely out of devoted care instead of anything truly selfish or immoral. She can get a little mad when it comes to Lala and her relationship with Rito, but has since come (somewhat) to terms with the fact that she still has time to win him over. Run can be a bit melodramatic and can misinterpret things easily, more so in the anime, a good example of this in Episode 16 of the original series.
In the first series, Run's personality was really childish, and she would always try to pull pranks on Lala (which ultimately fail) to get back at her for all of the mischief she suffered from her. But in To-Love-Ru Darkness, Run has greatly matured, as she no longer pulls any pranks on Lala and focuses on her work as an idol. She tries harder to gain Rito's love, especially now since she is now a full woman and is no longer with Ren as they're now two separate individuals.
In the OVAs, she doesn't mind showing others her body, however, she will always end up sneezing causing Ren to be in an erotic situation.
History Sometimes Run would be taken to Deviluke to play with Lala. Apparently she really hated being part of Lala's experiments and being forced to go through so much trouble (even while Ren was in control). Even though Run hated Lala, her male counterpart Ren falls in love with her.
Powers and Abilities Strength: Run has been shown to be strong enough to carry a huge hammer. Speed: Run is also shown to have great speed, however she cannot control her speed while holding something heavy like a huge hammer, when attempting to hit Lala but instead hits Rito. Former Powers and Abilities Alternate Personalities: Both Memorzian genders each have their own separate personalities. Run is also capable of communicating with Ren within his subconscious (this also works for Ren). The inactive personality can also feel whatever the active personality physically feels, like when Ren accidentally kissed Rito, Run had also felt it. This is no longer the case after reaching adulthood. It is unknown, and unlikely, if they are still capable of communicating with each other telepathically. Gender Swapping: It is said that due to evolution, those from Memorze like Run are born with both male and female genders. Normally Memorzorians would change monthly, but due to the differences in environment and magnetic fields on Earth, Run and Ren would change from a sneeze and both have different opinions about certain things. After reaching adulthood, they both physically separate, and Ren no longer shares a body with Run, so this ability is not usable anymore.

Memorze is the planet where Run and Ren come from. It is a tiny desert planet, 80% of it being dry land, and has two suns, therefore the planet has no night. Because of the high temperatures, the environment can be described as "punishing wherever it is". However, it is within the temperature range to support life. The king of Memorze created the planet's country by agglomerating small tribes.
Memorzorians Run and Ren's parents The king and queen of Memorze. Memorzorians are like humans, but they are born with both male and female genders within the same body and have separate personalities. It is said that this is an evolutionary trait for the sake of thriving in their difficult environment, since food and water were such precious commodities prior to them trading with people from other planets.
Little is known about their culture, but it may be similar to Arab culture on Earth, as seen in Lala's flashback with Run dressed in clothes similar to Arabian clothing, especially with how the landscape is also a desert.
Powers and abilities Memorzorians can automatically change their gender and personalities through an exchange period of about a month in average. However, this can change depending on the difference in environment and magnetic fields, such as when Ren and Run arrived on Earth, they were able to change by sneezing. They are also able to communicate with their counterparts within their subconscious. After reaching "adulthood", the two genders and minds within a Memorzorian's body permanently split into two separate individuals. This process, as stated by a book which is read by Yami, is called "metamorphose".
Memorzorians are shown to have great speed and strength, but perhaps not nearly as fast and strong as Devilukeans.

Kirisaki Kyōko is a half-human half-Flamian (alien) hybrid girl, who has the ability to create and control fire at will, which she uses in her TV show. Kyouko is a famous idol, best known for her role as Magical Kyouko, the fictional magical girl character and star of her television series, which Lala Satalin Deviluke loves watching. The producers of her show know about her alien heritage, some being aliens themselves.
Appearance Student kyouko Kyouko in her school uniform and glasses Kyouko has short black hair (purple hair in the original series) and purple eyes. Yūki Rito once noted that she looks like Sairenji Haruna when Haruna lets her hair lose.[1]
She is most often seen wearing her magical girl costume on her show: a red pointy hat and cape, a white top and a blue skirt. On some other occasions she is wearing clothing typical of Idols in Japan when performing on stage. In chapter 154, she appear wearing causal outfit first time. In chapter 58 of To Love-Ru Darkness, she is seen in her school uniform, and it's revealed that she wears glasses in her days off while during work, she wears contacts.
Her 3-sizes are 85-56-85.
Personality Kyouko is quite kind, modest and friendly to those around her and also cute. She genuinely hates perverts who assault her like the Principal and doesn't hesitate to use her fire abilities to burn them. Kyouko is also quite understandable, especially to Yūki Rito, whom she never burned whenever he sees her naked; she also finds his blushed face cute. She is a good friend to Run when she supports her feelings for Rito. Sometimes, she tends to play with his shyness, such as asking him on a date as a joke. Eventually, she starts to develop feelings for him after he saves her from a swarm of fans and running in a princess carry style.
Plot At first, Kyouko was seen as a minor character, only appearing on her TV show as fictional character.
When Nana Astar Deviluke and Momo Belia Deviluke bring Yūki Rito, Lala Satalin Deviluke and their friends into their virtual reality game (Chapter 93-98, OVA 4 of first anime), they created a scantily clad virtual Kyouko as the demon king, where she tempts Rito to become her boyfriend and forget Lala. Rito and the others manage to defeat her and return to the real world, where Lala and the others go back to watching the real Magical Kyouko on TV.
In Chapter 123, Kyouko made her appearance in person when Run Elsie Jewelria began starring as an antagonist at her show. At the same time, it was revealed that she is a human/alien hybrid with actual fire abilities. Ever since their first meeting on her show, she and Run have done many projects together, such as debuting many songs together.
Kyouko reappears again when Run asks Rito to pretend to be her boyfriend (Chapter 154), however, Kyouko is able to tell they aren't really dating, but she is aware of her feelings for him and wishes her luck on getting him.
Later, she shows up at Rito's school for a lecture while Run is at a recording and asks Rito to show her around. This was actually a plan to get information on him for Run. However, after she gets swarmed by fans and Rito saves her, she appears to start developing her own feelings towards Rito.
In Chapter 58 of To Love-Ru Darkness, when Run becomes worried about Rito and Lala's relationship, Kyouko asks Rito to hang out with her so that she can learn about his feelings for Lala. Momo attempts to get Rito and Kyouko into a romantic situation while the two are together in a row boat. Instead, her plan backfires when her and Mea's boat collides with a boat being rowed by Ren, causing her to drop her D-Dial, summoning the Chucchu Weed (a mass of plant tentacles with lips). As usual, Rito gets caught in a perverted incident with the girl he is with. However, Kyouko blows fire over the plants, torching them. She is then carried off by Rito for the second time in the series.
Powers and Abilities Flamian Hybrid Physiology:
Pyrokinesis: Being half-Flamian, Kyouko possesses the ability of fire manipulation, the power to control ambient heat energy and burn whatever she may desire. She usually passes this off as magic tricks and special effects on her show during her acting role as Magical Kyōko TV series, or to defend herself from perverts like the Principal. Flame Constructs: Kyouko is also able to create constructs made of fire, such as streams, spheres or even skywriting. These flames require her concentrations to maintain their current shape and will burn out in approximately 3 minutes unless infused with additional flame. Fire Breath: Kyouko can breathe fire, which she can project as either intense concentrated streams of flame or wide range blasts. Heat Resistance: Kyouko is immune to heat and fire both from herself and from outside sources that is below her own maximum output, for it doesn't seem to hurt her when holding flames in her hands or blowing it out of her mouth. Relationship with Other Characters Run Elsie Jewelria Run first met Kyouko when she starred as a villain in her show. At first, Run didn't take too kindly to Kyouko but after getting to know her better, Run sees that Kyouko is a really kind person who listens to Run's music and even reads her blog (and finding out that Kyouko is human/alien hybrid), and they become good friends. Kyouko knows about Run's feelings towards Yūki Rito and wishes the best of luck in getting him.
In To Love-ru Darkness, she visits Sainan High and asks Rito to be her tour guide, which is part of her plan to find out what she can about him for Run, but then starts developing feelings for Rito herself. While she continues to talk with Rito in her spare time to learn more about Run's chances for a relationship with him, she has yet to tell Run about her own growing infatuation with him.
Ren Elsie Jewelria Ren doesn't seem to be as close to Kyouko as Run Elsie Jewelria is, but she is aware of their ability to swap minds and gender through a sneeze. Kyouko has helped them from changing when she and Run are performing together, but this is no longer the necessary as the two have separate bodies now.
Yūki Rito They first met when Run Elsie Jewelria asked Rito to meet her and pretend to be her boyfriend. Kyouko told Run that she realized about half way through that it was all pretend. Kyouko likes Rito's innocence, as when he saw her naked after a mishap, she finds him cute when he blushed. During her visit at Sainan High, to find out what she can learn about Rito for Run, she starts to develop feelings for him after he saved her from a swarm of rampaging fans and carried her in his arms. Although she is reluctant to acknowledge it, it appears that having been carried in Rito's arms was where she started to have a crush on him. Her feelings for him grow even more in Darkness chapter 58, when she hangs out with him to ask about his feelings for Lala Satalin Deviluke, only to be carried in his arms again after another mishap. When talking about Rito with Run, Kyouko inadvertently mentioned that she was jealous that Run went to the same school as him and got to see him much more regularly than her.
Lala Satalin Deviluke Lala is a devoted fan of hers and would always watch her show, occasionally with others like her sisters, Yūki Mikan, Celine and even Yūki Rito. They first met when she helped repair her clothes due to Run Elsie Jewelria's grenade that dissolved them. She also helped her escape the swarm of fans that were after her with an invention that teleported her and Rito inside a locker (leaving most of their clothes behind).

Honekawa is a teacher at Sainan High and a minor character in the series. He is the homeroom teacher for Class 2-A which is Rito's and most of the main cast classroom.
Appearance Honekawa bachelor Honekawa when he was younger. Honekawa is a wrinkly old man with nearly bald hair and black eyes that are covered by his big round swirl glasses which he is hardly ever seen without. He is always seen wearing a button shirt and loose tie.
It was shown, when he was sprayed by the Modori Skunk, that he was a handsome man when he was younger.[1]
Personality Honekawa-sensei-oppai-obsession The extent of Honekawa's personality is unclear, but due to his old age, he tends to talk slightly slow and often seen shivering. Due to that he is sometimes seen writing scribbles on the chalk board. On some occasions, he tends to overreact when his students don't take his class seriously.
As shown in To Love-Ru Darkness Chapters 48 and 62, Honekawa is a bit perverted himself, as he does think and maybe obsesses about women's breasts. When Lala temporarily shrunk, he asked "What happened to Boing-Boing Lala-shan?".
Plot Being a minor character, he doesn't seem to stand out much in the series and doesn't stand out as much. However, his major role in it seems to be introducing a new character debuting in the series.
In To Love-Ru Darkness, when he got back pain, this gave Tearju a chance to temporarily take his place to get close to Yami. Thanks to Lala's invention, after some time, his backache decreases so he returns to teaching.

The unnamed principal of Rito and Lala's school, Sainan High. He is very perverted and is not afraid to show his feelings to girls he finds attractive.
Appearance The principal is a very overweight, round, man with a bald head and toothbrush moustache. He is never seen without sunglasses on. He wears a purple suit with four gold buttons, black dress shoes, a white undershirt, and a pink bow tie, or just his boxers when he is chasing girls.
When affected by Run's Skunk of Youth (Madori), he doesn't seem to appear that different aside from having less weight and bigger hair.
Personality Darkness OVA ep04 10min 40sec Principal attacks! The principal is basically just a pervert, with very little else to add to his description. His hormones get the better of him each time he sees a cute girl. One might also describe him as a pedophile since he even goes after girls who are way much younger than him. While he is possibly a decent man when he doesn't have girls on his mind, not one of the few short instances of behaving in a civil manner towards a female did not shortly precede another perverted outburst. Interestingly on one occasion, he didn't seem to mind chasing Ren (though still had to decide) who at the time still shared the same body with his female counterpart, Run. This may possibly be due to him somewhat looking like a female when wearing Run's clothes.
When he sees a girl he likes, he usually rips off all his clothes, proclaiming his feelings for them, and dashes towards them with open arms. This usually results in him getting beat up by the female, which he seems to enjoy as he is masochistic. In the anime, he also enjoyed being tied up by Ghi Bree.
Plot The principal is usually shown just for comedy and has never really had any significant role in the series besides causing perverted mishaps involving girls, and forcing Rito to defend them. However, he is responsible for allowing all of the alien characters (Lala, Run, Ren, Momo, Nana, Yami, Ryoko Mikado, and Tearju) to attend his school without incident or question regarding their origins, simply because he wants attractive girls around in his school. One of his prime targets appears to be Yami, who happens to be one of the strongest females in the series who doesn't tolerate perverts. Despite being constantly beat up by her, he has not stopped harassing her; it is possible he finds her attacks sexually arousing.
It is unknown what his main duties are as principal, as he is just shown doing perverted things. However, he organizes fun events for the students, but mostly just so he can see girls. As seen in quite a few chapters, he has warning posters of himself throughout the school because of his constant sexual harassment.
His mindset of becoming a pervert is somewhat changed when he met Lala's mother stating that he must turn his passion to the world to dispel sadness from it.

Konjiki no Yami , real name Eve, and mostly referred to by other characters as Yami, is a major character in To LOVE-Ru and To LOVE-Ru Darkness. She is a lonely assassin who is initially hired by Lacospo, one of Lala's arranged suitors, to kill Yuuki Rito. But when Lacospo effectively annuls the job, she decides to take her time and, under the pretense of still needing to complete her mission to kill Rito, stays on Earth. As she spends more time on Earth, she builds a very strong relationship with Rito's mature younger sister, Yuuki Mikan and to Rito himself, whom she also develops feelings for.
In To Love-Ru Darkness, Yami becomes central to the main plot. This is because there is a group that wants her to join them as the heartless assassin she once was. Her "sister", Kurosaki Mea (a transformation weapon of the same program that created Yami) and a mysterious figure known as Nemesis, arrive to Earth to take her away and revive the old heartless/murdering self that she once was.
Appearance Yami has long blonde hair, dark red eyes, and a child-like figure. Her 3-sizes are B75-W52-H77. Although it should be noted that she can change her appearance to look older with her transformation ability, her choice to remain in her child-like form is most likely due to the fact that it is comfortable when in combat. This can be seen in both the manga and OVA where she wonders on whether or not having larger breasts and a more mature body would affect her balance. Characters have made several notes about the shape of her thighs throughout a few points in the manga—most notably the principal, who makes the remark during their first meeting. Of course, this was all before they were pummeled by none other than Yami herself.
She is well known for her all-black Gothic-style signature leather outfit. Her outfit has a star shaped gap at the chest of her clothing, which can also be found on the clothing of Mea and Nemesis. It also features two waist belts, five-leg belts on both of her legs, and two sleeves that attach to her upper arm via belt.
Another notable aspect of her appearance are her silver and black hair clips on each side of her head which give her a cat-like appearance, possibly paying homage to the illustrator's earlier work, "Black Cat", from which her character design also originated.
When the Darkness Transformation was activated, her appearance (mostly her attire) drastically changed. She donned a much more revealing leather outfit with red sharp claws on each of her fingers. Two black horns appeared on her head.
Personality "I hate ecchi people." ―Yami's view on perverted things
ToLoveRuDarkness-Bangaihen11 16 Yami is afraid of slimy things. Though she does come off as stoic, emotionless, and withdrawn in actuality she is pretty kind, but she would attack people who talks about something that she doesn't like. She also hates perverted people and normally attacks Rito (despite knowing its not his intention), who by his clumsy nature trips into her and gropes her, or the Principal, whose perverted nature makes him come running to her in almost no clothing whenever he sees her. Other people she has attacked include Saruyama Kenichi, Kotegawa Yū, and Motemitsu Taizō. She also has a weakness towards anything slimy and with tentacles. She is a mayadere.
Yami is often reading books to understand Earth's culture and learn more about emotions such as love. She had been contracted to kill Rito, but after their initial meeting she chose to 'assess' him. Since chapter 158, she has begun showing small inklings of feelings towards him for not taking advantage of her while affected by Celine's pollen.
In To Love-Ru Darkness, Yami's feelings for Rito are shown quite a few times. He shows kindness to her, and because of this she's not sure about her feelings or whether she really wants to kill him but tries to convince herself that he is still her target. Strangely, he is the only person she has ever opened up to about her origin and about her old life before being an assassin, instead of to her closest friend Mikan, which is also something that confuses herself. One time she looked at him from behind holding a book titled "lovers", further hinting her feelings for him.
She has a fondness of taiyaki, which was the first she eats after coming to earth which was also given to her by Rito, shortly before her attempt to assassinate him. It's stated that since becoming an assassin, Yami has never slept with a calm mind (her body always "standing" on guard), but she appears to have slept calmly ever since she slept next to Rito (Darkness Chapter 13).
In the beginning, Yami wasn't always heartless and cold. Before she became an assassin, she was a happy, cheerful and playful little child, especially around Tearju, but was left heartbroken when hearing that she had left and Yami was left in the hands of the organization, Eden that made her the mostly emotionless person she is today. If she had not been raised by Eden, she would have likely had a similar personality to Mea. However, as the series progresses, she begins to show a more happy and gentle side from time to time and opens up more around others especially Rito, whom she shows love/hate feelings to.
Since Tearju's arrival, Yami has remained distant towards her, although she still cares for her greatly. The real reason for this was because of her life as an assassin and what she became after they last met, she was afraid of the awkwardness between them. She once admit herself that being an assassin is even worse than "being a pervert like you". But with some encouragement from Rito and Mea, Yami slowly tries to become closer to Tearju. Yami is shown to evidently be shy, constantly avoiding mushy moments and Tearju, whom she still feels awkward towards.
After she returns from her Darkness transformation, Yami's personality displays significant changes. While she is still mostly her usual self, she now has stronger tsundere tendencies, mostly regarding Rito. She has become much more angry and over-reactive when it comes to her feelings for Rito, whom she continues to deny having any feelings for. She also appears to be less stoic around Mikan, her best friend.
At the end of To Love-Ru Darkness chapter 70, she accepted her feelings and told Mikan about her love for Rito and at the end of chapter 71, she commenced in a fight with Kuro in order to save Rito's life. She finally managed to defeat him by destroying his Gun. And after the battle, Yami at last confessed her feelings to Rito.
Darkness "I feel really perverted." ―Darkness
Shameless angel When the Darkness Transformation is activated, Yami's personality changes quite drastically. In fact it can be inferred that her personality becomes the complete opposite of her normal one in that she becomes hyperactive, perverted, and less bothered by slimy things. Her feelings for Rito, which she would regularly try to hide, are laid so out in the open that it becomes a complete and total obsession.
She is shown to be more playful and enjoys "ecchi" things. Yami seems to be more than openly infatuated with Rito, wanting him to do more perverted things to her. She has absolutely no problem admitting she loves Rito, and yet, as he is her "target", she still intends to kill him. In fact, she constantly believes that by killing him, he will then be in her heart forever and they will become one, which she describes as the most ecchi thing possible. However, she acknowledges that for him, this reality is one of being chewed up and swallowed like taiyaki. She thus uses her newfound powers to manipulate matter and prepared the most fitting place for the "ecchi him" to die as tribute. She also expresses disappointment, at best, when he is taken away from her. She is so fond of the "ecchi him" that she says that a Rito who is not ecchi would be like taiyaki without the red bean paste filling.
Because of her newfound fondness towards anything "ecchi," she doesn't hesitate use her powers to do something lewd to others and herself even during battles. Her trauma towards anything slimy and with tentacles seems to have transformed into delight and become weaponized in this form, as seen when she created tentacles to molest Lala as well as herself and used water to molest a large number of students in a swimming pool.
She appears to be incredibly obsessed with Rito, to the point where all of her transformations seem to start assuming his form. She also has nothing but murderous emotion towards Lala, as she believes Rito's fiancée would naturally be her biggest enemy. Finally, when she is unable to retrieve Rito from Lala, she decided to destroy the entire planet, and Rito along with it, and playfully calls him hers in the process.
Originally, her personality was emotionless with the destructive impulses and instinct of plunging the universe into chaos. The cause of her new ecchi personality in this form might be because of the memories of being sexually harassed by Rito, but even she is not sure how she ended up this way. Mea speculates that Rito's actions caused a "bug" to occur in the program, which ultimately allowed Yami to resist its complete takeover, ironically Mea also believes that aggravating this "bug" further is the solution to allowing Yami's true personality to resurface and crash the program entirely, in other words the only solution is for Rito to "subdue" her by intentionally harassing her instead of by accident, because it's something even she would not expect from him. Ironically, when he does indeed take the offensive as above, Darkness becomes quite weak against Rito, ultimately crashing the program completely.
It is revealed by Mea that the "bug" is in fact caused by Yami's feelings towards Rito. After reverting to normal, however, she still continued to deny having any feelings for him until Darkness Chapter 70.
At the end of Darkness Chapter 71, it is shown that she now has the ability to activate the Darkness transformation out of her own will. However, this Darkness transformation is different as her wing are white and she has full control of her personality. She can also transform instantly. Despite the differences between her last transformation, she still retains her perverted attire.
History Images tear Young Yami in Dr.Tearju's care. Not much of Golden Darkness' history was known until she opened up to Rito. She is a living weapon created by Dr. Tearju Lunatique from her own cells (making Yami a clone) who named her Eve and raised her. Eve was a happy little girl who looked up to Tearju who would read her bedtime stories and cook. Despite the food turning out poorly, Eve would still force herself to eat it. They lived happily and Tearju planned to run away with Eve but her plans were preempted by the Eden organization which found out about the planned flight and attempted to kill Tearju, forcing her to flee without Eve. Eve, who had just finished making a necklace for Tearju, was then told that Tearju had abandoned her and she would be trained as a weapon. It is then that she was renamed Golden Darkness. Eden was destroyed by the hitman Kuro, setting Eve free of their control. After Eden was destroyed, Tearju heard rumors about a golden-haired assassin and knew it had to be Eve. Tearju started searching for Eve but was unable to find her (they meet again only in To-Love-Ru Darkness).
To-love-ru-149-14 Yami and Kuro. Before she met Rito and Lala, Yami lived alone in the universe, performing assassination assignments as they were given to her. At some point she bought an artificial intelligence for her spaceship from a junk shop and named it Lunatique.
Soon after Yami completed her assassin training, she went to a planet whose inhabitants have tentacles. Though she herself refuses to tell of the experience, it is strongly implied that it caused her extreme dislike of anything slimy and with tentacles.
Yami once fought and defeated the assassin called Tyrant Azenda because of a dispute within the assassination organization they both worked for. That organization used to exist on the Planet Kild, in the Talha Galaxy, which was known as the garbage dump of the Universe
One time, while Yami was in the midst of combat her mind ran amok and transformed into her Darkness Form for a few seconds. Although the transformation was incomplete, she sliced the Planet Kild in half. Some time after that, Yami came to Mikado suffering from many injuries and with no memory of what had happened.
When she arrived on Earth, Yami had no memories from before she became an assassin. However, being close to others, especially Rito, has caused those memories to resurface. Yami eventually notes that Rito's warmth reminds her of what she felt when she was with Tearju as a child.
Powers and Abilities Transformation Ability: Golden Darkness' signature ability is her transformation ability otherwise known as the Trans-ability. This ability allows her to turn almost any part of her body into almost any animate objects (preferably weapons or tools used for combat) or reshape the size and figure of her body. The nanomachines that circulate through her body allow her to do this. A downside to her powers is that if she uses her power excessively, the nanomachines in her body overheat, leaving her extremely weak and unable to move and causing her to pass out (To Love-Ru Chapter 45).
Yami considers her power to be a "cursed power" and that it can only be used for hurting people (mainly males), however, she is truly able to use her powers for harmless and trivial purposes with safe precision, such as cutting up Lala's tofu (Chapter 76) or doing maid work at Tenjōin Saki's mansion (Darkness Chapter 31).
Yami and Lala sparring Yami and Lala sparring
Weapon Transformation: This ability gives her the power to change any and all parts of her body into weapons like her hands turning into blades, claws or huge mechanical gauntlets. Yami mostly uses this ability to create weapons from her hair, she has also been shown to create non-weapon objects such a frying pan or even some medical equipment but is still useful against opponents. Hair Manipulation: Yami's most notable ability is her control over her hair. She can control its movements, extend it's reach and uses it to create giant fists and dragon heads. She can even solidify her hair to form metallic objects like sword blades, metal teeth, battle axe, spiked maces, drills, hammers, shields, wrecking balls. etc. Even a giant shoe that's similar to the ones she wears. She can also use her hair to create a puppet. However she rarely uses this ability in combat, instead, she uses it to assault Rito if he happens to cause (either unintentionally or not) some mishaps around him. Body Transformation: Yami is able to change her body sizes and measurements to look more mature and adult-like such as making her breasts larger. Partial Animal Transformation: She is also able to change parts of her body into animal-like features that gives her extra capabilities, growing a pair of white feathered wings (black while in her Darkness Form) from her back similer to an angel, to enable her fight. She can also turn her legs into a fish tail similar to a mermaid with gills that lets her breath and swim better underwater. Attire Transmogrification: On her "date" with Rito, Yami used her abilities to change her black Gothic outfit into a cute dress, but she said that she can't hold it for very long. Darkness Transformation: Following Tearju's expulsion from Eden, the scientists
Yami telling that she transformed by her own will. To love ru wiki contri 5 affiliated with the group implanted a program called "Darkness" into Yami. Nemesis has stated that this form is a grand weapon of destruction that has the capability to destroy the whole universe. Darkness power was so great that it could be able to overpower Kuro, destroying his seemly indestructible weapon, the Orichalcum handgun in the process. It was also feared by Tearju after Rito and Momo mentioned it to her during the Festival (Darkness Chapter 24). Because the scientists ultimately hated the fact that the universe was heading towards peace, they designed "Darkness" to activate when Yami felt a sense of peace in her heart. The Transformation starts with Yami losing control over her transform ability, in which it started molesting her with her hair. After a while, she is then cocooned by her hair and emerges in a transformed state. In this form, all of Yami's previous abilities are enhanced as well gaining new ones:
Limitless Transform Ability: According to Nemesis, the Darkness form is what happens when Transform runs amok and removes all of its limits, which she referred to as the Limitless Transform Ability. This ultimately turns Yami from an Anti-personal weapon into an Anti-planetary weapon. Wormholes: Yami can create wormholes with the use of her hair and teleport anything or anyone anywhere, even herself. It is described by Tearju as applying her Transform Abilities on space to displace it. Matter Manipulation: Yami is now able to freely control physical matter itself by transferring her Transform Ability into said matter. She has been shown being able to control water and solidify it, creating huge hands and is also able to stand on it. She can also control solid material like creating a wormhole in the ground shaped like a mouth with sharp teeth, and creating and controlling a giant earth statue shaped like Rito. Energy Based Weapons: Yami can now construct weapons made out of energy. Planet Slicer: Yami's ultimate attack. She can form a giant blade of energy that is capable of cutting a planet in half. Expert Hand-To-Hand Combatant: Apart from her alien powers, she also has excellent martial arts skills. Her physical combat skills nearly match her transformation power, meaning that even if her transformation powers were taken away from her, she could still win a fight with just her fighting skill, as shown when she beats up the school principal while in Mikan's body only using kicks and punches. She has also shown to be skilled with a regular Katana (though created from her hair).
Enhanced Strength: Yami is shown to have a great amount of strength despite her child-like appearance.
Enhanced Durability: Yami is able to withstand heavy attacks like a direct hit from a laser from Lala's tail.
Enhanced Agility and Reflexes: Yami has really good athletic skills, capable of doing somersaults, leaping over buildings and dodging certain impacts, but is still unable to dodge Rito's clumsiness, who always seems to manage to stumble upon her regardless.
Expert Tactician: Yami has seemly proven herself to be an excellent tactician, as shown from observing her opponents and finding any sort of weakness, such as being knowledgeable of the Demon Sword, Bladix, at first sight or single-handedly finding out the rough alien Khameleon at the Tenjouin beach resort like a detective (due to reading too many detective manga, as pointed out by Mikan).

Kurosaki Mea is a character from To-Love-Ru Darkness. She is sent to Earth to bring back the "old" Yami. It is revealed that she is Yami's younger sister as she was created by the same organization and from the same project (Project Eve) as her. At first she is found alone staring out the window until she meets Nana and becomes friends with her. She now views others as friends. It appears that she has sexual and emotional, feelings towards Rito, although she tends to use them in a playful, teasing way around him.
Before coming to Earth, she was known as Red-Haired Mea (赤毛のメア, Akage no Mea). After revealing her true identity to the entire school, she dropped the surname Kurosaki and being referred to by the name Mea.
Appearance Mea has violet/blue colored eyes and red hair with a really long braid. The upper part of her hair resembles Yami and Tearju's hairstyle. She also has a violet colored hair clip with an indigo colored cross on it and hair coming below it that's similar (yet smaller) to her braid. She's also seen letting her hair untied, mostly when taking a bath and when in combat. Sometimes she wears black Gothic clothing (which she calls it her true form) that's similar to what Yami usually wears but it's a lot more revealing, instead of a skirt she wears shorts and her top has a hood on it, also with a star shaped gap symbol on the chest part. This symbol also appears on Yami's and Nemesis' clothing. She usually wears a pair of striped panties, but doesn't wear any undergarment under her battle outfit. Her 3-sizes are B75-W52-H77.
Personality Mea has a laid-back, mischievous and childish personality, bordering on the psychotic side sometimes. She is rarely not smiling, particularly in combat, acts friendly to friend and foe alike, and often says "wonderful" if something unfortunately perverted happens. Mea has a sweet tooth and likes anything sweet, preferring to put so many sugar cubes in her tea that they pile out the top of the cup. She seems to enjoy messing with and teasing people, particularly in regards to Rito and all the girls that have feelings for him.
For example she has made more than one reference to him having licked her body or her desire for him to do so, though she makes this out as a joke. However it has been discovered by Oshizu (during her possession of Mea) that this desire is in fact completely genuine. It was also discovered by Oshizu that within Mea's mind is a darkness so deep that it almost consumed her and revealing a dark and scary side to her that has left her highly mistrustful of Mea ever since.
Mea is very loyal to Nemesis and follows her teachings about being a weapon and gets mad at anyone if they disrespect Nemesis in any way. However, there are those like Rito and Tearju who try to convince her otherwise. This seems to work as she seems to begin to care and consider others as friends and show sympathy towards "weaker" beings.
Mea doesn't show any kind of embarrassment or shame, not even when her clothes got ripped off. She instead prefers to get caught in awkward and/or sexual experiences, showing a sadomasochistic side.
Oddly, Mea's personality is practically the opposite of her sister Yami. She always seems kind and sweet around others, but has a sadistic side which she rarely shows, while Yami appears cold and emotionless around others, but has a nicer side that is rarely shown. Mea is fond of anything ecchi while Yami detests it, as can be seen in her fetish for being licked. The one thing the two do share is the ability to get overwhelmed by their powers; Mea, whenever taking apart in something as miniscule as cutting food, can enter a state of euphoria that forces her to continue cutting all things around her with glee, much like how Yami's anger towards ecchi keeps her from rationalizing between life and death.
History Through what Mea remembers, she is practically what's left of the Eden organization that created both her and Yami after it was destroyed. Awakening from a destroyed life pod, the first thing she sees is destruction everywhere. After wandering around for a moment, she came across Nemesis, who took her in, trained her, and taught her that the existence of a transformation weapon is only for killing. She also told her about her older sister Yami, whom Mea wanted to find by asking other criminals in space, which she managed to. Before she came to Earth, she made a living on bounty hunting.
Mea enrolled into Sainan High in order to get acquainted with Yami, a month before Momo and Nana did so. She did not make friends with anyone (and possibly didn't even talk to anyone) until she met Nana.
Powers and Abilities TLRD V3 CH11 P135 Hair Transformation: Laser guns Transformation Ability: As a second generation transformation weapon, Mea has transformation abilities similar to Yami because of the nano-machines in her body, except she is able to create more advanced machine/energy-based equipments, which Yami is unable to create. Most of them are transformed from her hair. She has been shown to create non-weapon objects like a puppet from her hand.
Weapon Transformation: Similar to Yami, Mea can shapeshift any part of her body into weapons such as blades. However, she is capable of creating many differently shaped gun-like machines that shoot laser beams that easily destroy powerful barriers and a micro-black hole. Hair Manipulation: Mea can control and move her hair/pony tail (like an actual tail) and uses it for most of her transformation abilities like many different shape guns, a clawed hand or a blade at the end of it. Mea is shown to create bigger machines and a multitude of huge guns and blades. Mea can also extend the reach of hair. Psycho Dive: An ability unique to Mea, which she can use to connect herself to another person's mind. By physically touching that person's forehead, she can enter their subconscious to steal information, look through their memories or even enter their dreams and recreate them to whatever she wants. This ability can also be used on machines, like when Mea connected her ponytail through the screen of a laptop. By connecting her ponytail at the back of a person's neck, she can control the movements of that person, and through this, both Mea and said person can share each other's thoughts and feelings, even deep feelings that Mea herself was not aware of. Mea can also connect with more than one person at same time. Sometimes Mea would playfully use this ability on Rito to get in his head and do ecchi things. Nana is the only known person to break free from this ability. TLRD V5 CH20 P165 Mea's semi-weapon form. Body Transformation: Mea can alter the shape and size of her body or parts of it, like making her breasts bigger. Mea can also alter her size to copy the form and appearance of anyone (eg: Tearju), similar to shapeshifting. Partial Animal Transformation: Mea has also been shown to use partial animal forms like growing a pair of feathered wings on her back to enable flight. She can also transform her hair into animal ears such as cat ears (Darkness Chapter 36). But it is also shown she can grow a pair of feathered wings with metalic parts on it, Probably does type of wings can be reffered as her wings specially made for speed (Darkness Chapter 46) Vocal Alteration/Imatation: In addition to her shapeshifting abilities, she can also change her voice to sound like anyone she turns into. Attire Transmogrification: Mea can change her attire into anything, like from her school uniform into her own all black Gothic style suit similar to what Yami often wears, but smaller and more revealing. Nemesis , also known as Master Nemesis, is a character introduced in To LOVE-Ru Darkness. She is a transformation weapon similar to Golden Darkness (Yami) and Kurosaki Mea, but does not share their genetic origins. She is Mea's master, whom she gives orders to and uses to observe Yami's changes and recent life. At the beginning of To LOVE-Ru Darkness, her original plan was to make Yami return to the heartless assassin she was before arriving on Earth, and she convinced Mea that this was the only life they were meant to live as weapons. Due to her catalystic role in the overall plot, she is considered the central antagonist of To LOVE-Ru Darkness.
Because she wants Yami to join her and become an assassin again, and wants Rito for herself (as her servant) because of his ability to influence Yami and Mea, Nemesis is essentially also the direct opponent of Momo's plan to include Yami, various other girls and herself in a harem for Rito. As of chapter 61, after a long and arduous battle with Gid Lucione Deviluke that left her on the brink of death, she accepted Rito's offer to "possess" her and live in his body until she is able to fully recover, giving her the ability to control his speech and body movements for short periods of time.
Her real name is unknown, and the name "Nemesis" is based on Project Nemesis, a weapon project organized by the assassin organization that created both Yami and Mea. According to Tearju Lunatique, the project was a failure, but Nemesis survived the project.
Appearance Nemesis is a petite girl with long black hair, golden eyes with vertical silt pupils, and dark skin. Because of her appearance, Rito had mistaken her for a little girl. However, she can change her appearance into anything she desires, such as a crow or a cat, or change herself into a well-endowed adult woman (a benefit of having complete hormonal control over her body). She has taken to giving herself cat ears.
At first she wore a skimpy black dress, but she used her abilities to change it into a black yukata (claiming how effective it is in a fight) with a star-shaped gap symbol on it (similar to the one Yami and Mea have on the chest of their black gothic dresses), and she has a yellow sash wrapped around her waist. When she first changed to the black yukata, she had a cat mask, which, combined with the Taichi figure, covers the left side of her head as decoration. She is shown wearing nothing underneath her clothes and is always naked underneath them.
Personality Nemesis is sadistic, mischievous, domineering and mysterious. She believes that a transformation weapon's only purpose for living is killing. She is often seen hiding in the shadows observing Rito, his friends, and their daily lives through Mea, until she began to approach them herself. She also has an eery and erotic side to her and finds Rito's shyness arousing and would like to have him as her servant. She said that she doesn't have full control over her erotic personality and would act on it on impulse. Upon her first appearance, her erotic tendencies quickly earned an uneasy impression from Rito and a strong disdain from Momo. She can be quite patient, like instead of persuading Yami to return to her old heartless life, she decides to wait until she uses the "Darkness ability", believing that Yami will return to that path naturally and that the "Darkness" will inevitably occur regardless of Yami's relationships on Earth.
Like Mea, she has a sweet tooth; she enjoys eating anything that contains Dark Matter.
She is eerily optimistic and apathetic at all times, and whether things go her way or not, when she is not entertained, she does little to show any negative feelings for any reason. Even after Mea disobeys her and her plan to activate Yami's Darkness transformation failed, she does not appear to mind. And even after a fierce battle left her on the verge of imminent death, she expresses no regrets disappearing after all of the fun and mischief she had, as well as some relief towards the thought of her life coming to an end, indicating that beneath her childlike and bratty demeanor, she's a truly depressed and lonely being.
It is unknown if Nemesis has feelings for Rito, but she enjoys being fused with him, as she teases him when the opportunity presents itself and comments that her life is now more interesting now that she is fused with Rito.
History Nemesis was the result of "Project Nemesis", a different experiment from the project that created Golden Darkness, conducted by the organization known as Eden. The experiment was an attempt to create a living weapon composed of Dark Matter, which was abundant throughout the universe. However, the project was scrapped and abandoned because of the scientists' failure to materialized form. But unknown to them, Nemesis existed as a formless and unseen intelligence, wandering the facilities for years and overseeing the creations of Golden Darkness and Mea, both human-based Transformation weapons, until the organization's collapse at the hands of Black, and Mea's release.
Mea remembers that Nemesis came to the fallen organization where she found Mea and decided to raise her. At that time, both their physical condition were unstable and Nemesis was on the verge of disappearing, so she used her ability to fuse with Mea to stabilize herself. Nemesis always created images of herself to make Mea believe that they are both speaking to each other as separate people, and Mea was unaware that Nemesis existed inside her body.
Nemesis taught Mea that the purpose of a Transformation Weapon is to kill. She also taught her about her sister, Golden Darkness, whom they came to Earth to bring back into space as who she was before.
Powers and Abilities Dark Matter-based Physiology: Nemesis' body consists of dark matter that allows her the trans ability rather than having nanomachines. While she possesses the same common shape-shifting abilities as Yami and Mea, her powers are fundamentally different in nature and possesses some abilities unique to herself.

Shape-shifting: Nemesis can alter her appearance and reshape her body to look more adult-like and even change her appearance to look exactly like other people. She can fully transform into animals, even those much smaller than herself, such as a crow or a cat. She can also grow a pair of butterfly wings that gives her the ability to fly. Attire Transformation: She is able to transform her clothing, as seen when she switches between a black nightgown and a yukata. She is also seen wearing a maid outfit. Hair Manipulation: Nemesis is capable of controlling the movement of her hair, altering it's length and transform it into any animate object such as weapons. Vocal Alteration: In addition to her shape shifting abilities, she can also change her voice to sound just like anyone. To love ru wiki contri 3 How Trans-fusion looks within the mind of Mea. Trans-Fusion: One of Nemesis' own unique abilities, which allows her to fuse her body with that of another person. She was forced to fuse herself with the body of Mea Kurosaki, where she continued to watch things happen around Mea from inside her body. Nemesis explained that she used this ability on Mea because at the time, Nemesis was in a physically unstable condition, and so she needed to exist inside Mea's body as a vessel until she can stabilize herself, and then she can leave Mea's body. While under Trans-fusion, she is able to communicate with Mea, and even create an image of herself in her mind, so as to give Mea the illusion of them speaking with each other face to face in the physical world. This ability is not limited to another Tranformation Weapon, as she is able to fuse with Rito, which gives her the ability to forcefully control his movements for a short amount of time, depending on her current strength. For manipulating other people's body, Nemesis uses a voodoo doll Weapon Transformation: Nemesis is capable of transforming her body into different forms of tools and weaponry of various sizes, most notably blades. Partial Materialization: An ability that Nemesis uses to materialize the scattered dark matter from her body to form hands and weapons from any spacial range without being attached to her body. This can also be used to reconstruct her body to reappear in any location. Regeneration: Her body is nearly immune to physical and light energy attacks since they'll phase right through her, as she can reconstruct herself from any damage taken, however her body won't be able to keep up if taken too much damage. Body Jack: She is able to hijack the bodies of several lesser-minded individuals even if they were conscious beforehand. While under such effects, her victims have the appearance of zombies and borrow a fraction of her strength in order to hold their own in battle. It is also shown that she is able to speak through them, as she speaks through Saruyama in order to communicate with Yami.
