Re-Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012-2017); "We're not Kung Fu frogs, We're Ninja Turtles!" Let's continue our TMNT marathon with their 3rd animated series and their first project from Nickelodeon as the titular reptile heroes battle various criminals and super villains with a set of loyal friends/allies; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Ninjutsu master Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) is carrying his four pet turtles through the streets of Manhattan when he encounters members of an alien race called the Kraang. During an altercation with these aliens, Yoshi and the turtles are exposed to the Kraang's chemical, called mutagen, which causes organic beings to undergo major physical transformations. Yoshi takes on characteristics of a brown rat and the turtles take on human characteristics. Yoshi retreats to the New York City sewers where he raises the four turtles as his sons and imparts to them his knowledge of ninjutsu. Now teenagers, the turtles (Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo) venture to the surface for the first time and learn that the Kraang are using the mutagen as part of their plan to take over New York City. They befriend the teenage April O'Neil after she and her psychologist father Kirby are abducted by the Kraang. Donatello, who has developed a crush on April, is able to rescue her. While Kirby remains a prisoner of the Kraang, April becomes an ally of the turtles, who try to help her locate her father. April is also trained by Splinter to be a kunoichi, a female ninja. After learning of Splinter's and the turtles' presence in New York, Splinter's adoptive brother and long-time enemy Oroku Saki (Shredder) travels there from Japan and orders his birth clan, the Foot to track down Splinter and his sons, and put an end to their clan. Along their journey, the Turtles and April discover many secrets, endure many tests, and meet other allies such as Casey Jones, Irma Langinstein, Timothy Gutz, the Mighty Mutanimals, Karai, the Fugitoid, Metalhead, Mona Lisa and the Salamandrians, the Utroms, Miyamoto Usagi, and many others as they battle not just Shredder, the Foot Clan, and the Kraang, but also other villains like Tiger Claw, Dogpound, Baxter Stockman, Bebop and Rocksteady, the Triceratons, Lord Dregg, Kavaxas, the Rat King, General Traag and his army of Rock Soldiers, Hun and the Purple Dragons, and more. The writing for this show is incredibly solid as while it does have some issues like a few plot threads never being resolved, a few bad episodes, and the fifth and final season, while still pretty good, was a bit of a downgrade compared to the first four, this incarnation seemed to combines elements and aspects of not just the original comics, but also all the previous shows as well as the movies. And this does result in a show that does have some great writing that does provide some awesome action, some pretty funny comedy, a great amount of heart and charm as well as very genuine drama and suspense, there are some pretty good and unexpected twists and turns with some resulting in some pretty shocking moments, some very well written and engaging story arcs and plot threads, some pretty neat callbacks and references to past TMNT media, the changes this incarnation makes are pretty solid and well executed, and the show's tone does feel very well balanced as it can be as fun and lighthearted as the 1987 series, but it can also be as dark and dramatic as the 2003 series. The action scenes of this show are pretty awesome as they can be pretty fun and exciting as well as being pretty intense, suspenseful, and even brutal at times such as the Turtles and their allies taking on their villains and their goons as well as the occasional crooks, them getting into tight jams and eventually getting out of them as well as them escaping from certain death scenarios, them rescuing people from danger, the chase scenes, and the big battles. The show does a great job at having some very strong humor as while there are a few jokes that don't land, a good chunk of them do hit their mark and result in getting some good laughs such as the witty and snarky banter and dialogue between the characters, the trash talking, the gags and visual humor, the dark humor and occasional adult joke, and so on. The show also manages to have some pretty strong and engaging drama as well as some genuine heart and charm which does result in the series having some pretty dramatic, heartfelt, and tender moments such as the dark and tragic backstories for some of the characters, certain character deaths, sacrifices, betrayals, and redemptions, the show's more shocking moments, some of the growth and character arcs some of the characters go through, the more tender moments between the characters, and the growing familial bond and friendship between the main heroes. The computer animation of the series is pretty well crafted for a TV show and does have a pretty solid anime-esque art style to it with the characters all having some pretty awesome designs that are accompanied by some very fluid and lively movements, the backgrounds and settings are all very well crafted and are given a great amount of detail, the anime-inspired parts are very nicely done, and there are some very well done special effects. The characters of this incarnation of the franchise are all very solid and well written as they do all have a great amount of likability and complexity to them as well as some great chemistry and dynamics, wit and humor, charm and charisma, and growth and development such as the four Turtles themselves with Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, a ton of the supporting and side characters like Splinter, April, Casey Jones, Irma, Timothy, Karai, Metalhead, the Utroms, the Mighty Mutanimals with members like Leatherhead, Slash, Mondo Gecko, and so on, Usagi Yojimbo, the Punk Frogs, the Fugitoid, Mona Lisa, the 1987 Turtles, and so forth, and the show does have a great selection of villains that are legit very intimidating, menacing, and ruthless such as the Shredder and the Foot Clan, the Krang, Baxter Stockman, Tiger Claw, Karai during her time as a villain, Dogpound who later becomes Rahzar, Fishface, the Triceratons, Bebop and Rocksteady, the Rat King, General Traag and the Rock Soldiers, Lord Dregg, Armaggon, Hun and the Purple Dragons, Kavaxus, Chrome Dome, Bishop, the 1987 Shredder and Krang, and more. The voice acting is amazingly well done as the voice actors all do an amazing job with their performances such as Jason Biggs, Dominic Catrambone, and Seth Green as Leonardo, Rob Paulsen as Donatello, Sean Astin as Raphael, Greg Cipes as Michelangelo, Hoon Lee as Splinter, Mae Whitman as April, Josh Peck as Casey, Kate Micucci as Irma, Roger Craig Smith as Timothy, Kelly Hu as Karai, Kevin Michael Richardson as Shredder, and many, many more. The music is very solid as it does sound pretty great and well composed, and it does a very strong job at capturing the show's action-packed, intense, comedic, dramatic, engaging, and well balanced tone. Overall, i think this might best the best Ninja Turtles show out of all of them as it has everything a TMNT fan could ask for, and it's overall an amazingly well crafted and highly engaging show. Hands down among the best Ninja Turtles shows and also among the best Nick shows.

Main Characters/Protagonists: Seth Green – Leonardo is an enthusiastic ninjutsu student, wears a royal blue mask, and fights with two long swords called Katanas. Leo is the oldest and most mature of the turtles and the second oldest of Splinter's children, he is the fearless leader of the Ninja Turtles. In the aftermath of Splinter's passing, he reluctantly stepped up to the increasingly difficult role of sensei, which added even more pressure onto him. Since the episode "The Deadly Venom", he is the only Ninja Turtle who is capable of using the spiritual, healing abilities of "the healing hands" technique to heal himself and others which enshrouds his body in a white aura by chanting the mantra and the right hand seals. Rob Paulsen – Donatello is the smartest and second youngest of his four brothers. He is in charge of the design and manufacture of all of the tools and weapons in the Turtles' arsenal. He is also a gifted hacker. He wears a purple mask and fights with a rokushakubo which converts to a naginata via a blade inside one end of the staff. He has a huge crush on April and a rivalry with Casey because of it. Despite his smarts, he can be anxious and can at times get into a rage, but is often the most gentle and ultimately means well. Paulsen had previously voiced Raphael in the 1987 series of the same name. Sean Astin – Raphael is the strongest, most impulsive and second eldest of his four brothers who serves as the muscle. He wears a red mask and fights with two sai. Known for his rage, he commonly takes it out on his brothers. Raphael sports a crack at the top of his front shell as a result of Splinter's earlier encounters with the Kraang that were after him. Despite his anger issues and rebellious nature, he openly loves his family and allies. Greg Cipes – Michelangelo is the youngest of the family and is a lover of video games, skateboarding, pranks and pizza. He wears an orange mask and fights with two nunchaku which convert into kusarigama via a blade inside of one of the sticks of each nunchaku and extra lengths of chain stored in the other. He loves to prank Donatello and Raphael the most. It is easy to tell that he is the youngest sibling on account of his most childish behaviors, being an immature turtle out of the four. He has an active imagination and he names all the mutated characters. Despite his immaturity, He is the most optimistic and kindhearted of the brothers, often bringing a lighter mood to the team's adventures. Abigail Howard – Jennika is the strongest, cute, most impulsive and third eldest of her four brothers who serves as the muscle. She fights with two tekkō-kagis. Known for her rage like Raph, she commonly takes it out on her brothers. Despite her anger issues and rebellious nature like Raph, she openly loves her family and allies and she has a huge crush on Casey. Tara Strong – Venus de Milo Andrea Libman – Lita Yuri Lowenthal – Kirby Mae Whitman – April O'Neil is the plucky, resourceful, determined 16-year-old, daughter of Dr. Kirby O'Neil and the love interest/crush of Donatello. Contrary to her previous incarnations, she possesses extraordinarily strong psionic/extrasensory abilities; having been born a human/Kraang mutant hybrid, as a byproduct of her late mother being experimented on by the Kraang before she was born, which she gradually learns to develop further and increase considerably in strength as the show progresses; particularly in Season 4 and Season 5. Her psionic aura varies from being transparent, to white, to yellow. Since "Tale of Tiger Claw" her psychic and extrasensory powers have been greatly reduced, as she no longer can draw more strength from the mystical Sol Star necklace she had destroyed, but they are still far stronger than they were before she acquired the Aeons mystical gift. Her ninja weaponry is a Tessen and, later, a dragon tanto. She proves capable of such compassion for animals and also sees cyborgs as people for their personalities instead of bodies as shown by Professor Honeycutt. Donatello and Casey both have a crush on her and she has shown hints of feeling the same towards them too. Josh Peck – Casey Jones is the teenage son of a former NHL player at April's school who April is hired to tutor for an extra credit assignment. He later became an ally of the Turtles. He formerly has a crush on April (later friends with her) and a rivalry with Donatello because of it and currently has a crush on Jennika. He's prone to recklessness but means well. He is a close brotherly figure to Raph due to both sharing an eagerness to fight. Hoon Lee – Hamato Yoshi/Splinter (spirit) is the son and heir of Hamato Yūta, the leader of the Hamato Clan whose rivalry with the Foot Clan came to an end when he was a child, and the adoptive father of the turtles. During a confrontation with the Kraang, Hamato Yoshi was mutated into a mutant brown rat upon coming into contact with a rat before the conflict. Since then ever since alluding to the Kraang, he trained the Turtles in ninjutsu.

Mighty Mutanimals: Corey Feldman – Slash was Raph's pet ornate box turtle. In the second season, Spike transformed into a mutant after jumping into a spilled mutagen then renamed himself "Slash" in "Slash and Destroy". He is the leader of the Mutanimals. In this version, he wields a mace. Feldman had previously voiced Donatello in the 1990 live-action film and its second sequel. Peter Lurie – Leatherhead is a Sewer alligator that was mutated by the Kraang after the parents of his owner flushed him down the toilet. He was first introduced in "It Came from the Depths" in season one. He is Slash's second-in-command and is best friends with Mikey. A. J. Buckley – Pigeon Pete is a rock dove that was mutated by the Kraang and has a fondness for sourdough. Pigeon Pete is the team's spy. He was later replaced by Mondo Gecko. Robbie Rist – Mondo Gecko was a popular high school skateboarder who while skating was hit on the head by a canister of mutagen that was accidentally dropped from the sky by the Turtles. He mutated into a mutant common leopard gecko due to his pet leopard gecko being on his shoulder at the time. Rist had previously voiced Michelangelo in the live-action film trilogy from 1990. Tom Kenny – Monkey Brains is a neuroscientist who was mutated into a mutant chimpanzee by Dr. Victor Falco. He eventually was again experimented on where he regained his power of speech and gained the strong psionic abilities of telepathy and telekinesis; quite similar to April's. He is the brains of the Mighty Mutanimals. Rockwell emits a light purple psionic aura; whereas April's varies from white, to pale blue, to bright yellow. Robbie Daymond – Chase Cat was Jenny's pet tuxedo cat. He transformed into a mutant after drinking a mutagen.

Since Yoshi had lost everything on that night, he fled to New York City to start a new life, which was the place that Tang Shen wanted to move to with Yoshi and Miwa. One day in New York, Hamato Yoshi went to a pet shop and bought four baby turtles. As he was leaving from the pet shop to head back home, he bumps past a strange man in the streets. Yoshi had bad vibes about this man and decided to follow him, leading him into an alley. That was where he saw the man meeting up with a group of men that were identical in appearance to him. As they gathered around, one of the men was seen holding what seemed to be a canister with a weird, green substance. But then the meeting was interrupted when Yoshi accidentally steps on a rat that was passing by him, causing him to blow his cover. The group of men spotted him and so a fight occurs when Hamato Yoshi tries to defend himself from the men. During the fight, the canister falls on both Yoshi and the four baby turtles, causing the substance to spill and mutates all five of them. With the ooze coming in contact with them, Hamato Yoshi mutates into a humanoid brown rat, which was the last animal he came in contact with before his mutation. In the other hand, the four red-eared slider turtles mutate into humanoid versions of themselves. Due to their new mutant forms, they fled from the surface and moved into the Sewers so that they could live there. The five mutants move in an abandoned subway station, which they now call home. Hamato Yoshi, now adopting the nickname of "Splinter" becomes the adoptive father of the mutant turtles and names them all after his four Renaissance Italian artists. One of the turtles was named Leonardo, named after the Renaissance Italian artist, Leonardo da Vinci. At some point while Splinter started to raise the turtles, he introduces them into the ways of Ninjutsu in order for them to become the new ninjas of his family's clan, The Hamato Clan. During their training, Leonardo was given a blue bandanna and a pair of Katana Swords as his signature weapons of choice.") Role("Leonardo again leads the team in Nickelodeon's animated series. In this latest version, Leonardo seems to be less experienced and still perfecting his fighting skills and leadership abilities to make more solid decisions and gain more trust from his three brothers. He regularly watches an animated science fiction show called Space Heroes (a parody of Star Trek: The Animated Series) and uses it as a guide for his leadership skills, often attempting to quote from the show in an attempt to sound intimidating and heroic, even if most of his attempts fall flat due to him sounding too cliché. Leonardo's weapons here are purely dual katanas, which he uses in the Niten Ryu style of kenjutsu, making him an excellent swordsman. Despite the fact the other three turtles have added traits in this series, Leonardo is almost completely normal but now has blue eyes. Upon the sudden demise of his adopted father and master, he reluctantly steps up as sensei in addition to being the leader, which puts even more pressure on him. He is visited, on occasion, by the spirit of Splinter who encourages him to lead his family and friends to stop new evils. In addition to his natural ninjitsu skills, he eventually developed the strong innate ability to heal via an enchanted mantra known as "the healing hands". By chanting the incantation and making the right hand seals, Leo is fully capable of revitalizing his inner strength and counteracting even the most lethal of poisons and venom of "the healing hands". He managed to develop and utilize it to counteract the lethal venom of Karai, and attempted to use it on her to release her from Shredder's control but failed. He then succeeded in saving Casey and Michelangelo from death. According to Splinter, he shows great gifts as a healer, and that being at the edge of his life had given him "a power that few martial artists can tap." The character was voiced by actor Jason Biggs up until "The Wrath of Tiger Claw". Biggs then departed the series and was replaced by Dominic Catrambone for the remainder of the second season; Seth Green then took on the role for the remainder of the series, this change in voice was explained in the series as a throat injury sustained in the season 2 finale.") Despite Donatello being quiet, sensitive, and friendly, and a genius he also can be sarcastic and is here more prone to panicking and losing his temper. Donatello is active and purpose-driven, but at times does not understand and/or has a hard time grasping the lectures of Master Splinter. A running gag is Raphael scolding or hitting him whenever he voices scientific facts in dire situations. His character design was also updated, giving him a gap in his teeth and a taller, leaner appearance than his brothers. In this version, he wields a bō staff that converts to a naginata (Japanese glaive). Donatello also shows to have a heart as big as his intelligence as he, like his brother Michelangelo, care for humans and creatures that others find a nuisance like The Pulverizer and Bigfoot. Raphael's character design was updated, giving him green eyes as well as a small, lightning-shaped chip out of his plastron across his left shoulder (a scar that resulted from an injury Raphael received as a baby). In this incarnation, Raphael is described (in the theme song) as having "the most attitude on the team". Raphael can get incredibly explosive when he feels hurt or misunderstood. Sometimes he would walk out on the team to do his own thing or prove himself better, which has happened many times. Raphael's behavior is inconsistent throughout the series. Sometimes he would cooperate and take orders and sometimes he will rebel. His relationship with Leonardo is strained. Raphael would erupt at Leonardo, who would either try to calm him down or confront him. Raphael hated the fact that Leonardo was the leader and often tried to take over as leader, even succeeding twice as the Seasons progressed. In Season 5, Raphael does not backtalk to Leonardo as much as he did in the earlier season probably because Leonardo is the sensei and has more control when it comes to Raphael. Despite all of this, Leonardo and Raphael are very close and care deeply for each other. They would team up to fight and challenge Donatello and Michelangelo during training. Raphael's relationship with his two brothers Michelangelo and Donatello is not as bad as his relationship with Leonardo but it can be tense at times. Sometimes he would attack or challenge them, especially in training and other times they would team up to mock Leonardo. When Michelangelo annoys him, Raphael insults him. However, Raphael is a big brother to Mikey and serves as his role model, reassuring and comforting him and even saying he is awesome at one point. Raphael's relationship with Donatello often involves counterarguments. Donatello and Raphael would sometimes argue and insult each other like Donatello calls him a "big baby" whenever Raphael erupts or when Raphael calls Donatello a "dork". When Raphael behaves in an upsetting manner and when his brothers confront him, he will get in denial at first but then he will reluctantly or willingly apologize. Raphael has a soft spot for his pets which helps him calm him down. A normal pet turtle named Spike, later mutates and becomes this show's version of Slash. During their training, Michelangelo was given an orange bandanna and a pair of twin Nun-Chucks/ Kusarigama as his signature weapons of choice.") Role("In the new 2012 series, Michelangelo uses both a Kusarigama and Nunchaku. His character design was updated as well, making him slightly shorter than his brothers and giving him dark freckles as well as shorter tails on his mask. Mikey is voiced by Greg Cipes. Mikey is the youngest brother and is prone to goofing off rather than focusing on his training. However, he is still an impressive fighter. His natural affinity for the martial arts is present in his ability to learn moves after seeing them only a few times. He also has the ability to fight without "thinking", once deflecting Splinter's blows while listening to music with his eyes closed, which was something that Donatello had to learn (Although he was unable to do this when directly asked to fight without thinking in their first fight with the telepathic Victor Falco). Also, Mikey has a rare ability to see something off in people and mutants, shown when a Kraang robot that looks exactly like April's mother (dubbed "Mom-Thing" by Raphael as a reference to The Thing), and with two of the Mighty Mutanimals, Slash and Dr. Rockwell, after they escape capture from the Shredder. Mikey seems to respect Leonardo and although there are few scenes with them interacting together in the first two seasons, it's clear that Leonardo cares about his youngest brother. In season three, however, the two of them go on missions together. While looking for Karai one evening, they worked together to rescue their brothers, April, and Casey from Bebop and Rocksteady. After Karai is captured by Shredder, Leo volunteers to go solo to find a way to help her, Mikey tags alongside him and assures him he is there for him. When Mikey gets eaten by the MegaShredder, Leo fights with all of his might to save him. After Mikey escapes from inside the monster, Leo is overjoyed to see him alive and is proud of the work they have done. Raphael is normally seen as the one Mikey loves to hang out with, usually to Raph's ire. Although Raph repeatedly gives Mikey a beat down for his antics (usually in the form of slapping him to make him shut up) he occasionally shows a more sensitive side when Mikey is feeling down. Particularly at the end of season 2 and the first half of season 3, Raphael is much kinder to Michelangelo and often refers to him affectionately as "little brother". He is also less inclined to slap Mikey, instead flicking him with a finger as a sort of "warning". Of all his brothers, Mikey seems to be the closest to Donatello. This probably stems from the fact that although they are very different they both share a curiosity about things outside ninjutsu. Mikey greatly admires Donnie's new gadgets and is normally the first to test them out. Mikey additionally enjoys creating names for all the mutated forms of villains in the series, naming ones like "Dogpound" and "Fishface". He even is upset with Donnie when he decides on a name (Newtralizer) before Mikey gets the chance, and Donatello yells at Mikey when he attempts to name the mutated Kirby O'Neil "Wingnut" ("You are NOT giving Mr. O'Neil a monster name!"). Although Mikey is not the fastest of mind and has a tendency to make mistakes, it is very clear that all of his brothers care very deeply for him. They all show great distress when he gets hurt or is in trouble, and anger at the one who threatens him, i.e. when Baxter Stockman is throwing Mikey around he is in his more advanced armor. More often than not, Raphael is the one to shout Mikey's name first and attack whoever has harmed his little brother, and was distraught when Mikey was injured during his (Raphael's) brief period as leader of the team. Master Splinter has yet to reveal what it is Michelangelo must improve on, other than a need to focus. In the first Nickelodeon TMNT comic, Master Splinter states that Mikey has more raw talent than his three brothers combined. Later in an episode, he says that Mikey has his "challenges" too. And even if Mikey can give his brothers grief, they will always care and love him and have his back. It is heavily implied that this version of Mikey has some form of A.D.H.D. And, it was even stated in his original bio, confirming it. Unlike past incarnations, Mikey does not say his famous "Cowabunga!" catchphrase, but instead, he says "Booyakasha!" (an Irish phrase, which means "High Glory and love to the very moment."). He usually does this when accomplishing something or attacking an enemy. In the episode "Meet Mondo Gecko" the character Jason (AKA Mondo Gecko) uses "Cowabunga!" as his own catchphrase, and Michelangelo says it is "too old school" but later asks if he can use it from time to time. In the episode "Journey to the Center of Mikey's Mind", he says "Booyakabunga!" (a mixture of both "Booyakasha!" and "Cowabunga!"). Michelangelo also has an affinity for animals in this incarnation, as well as a fear of squirrels. Whilst he is more interested in comics and cartoon shows (such as Crognard the Barbarian, which is a parody of Thundarr the Barbarian; and Super Robo Mecha Force Five, which is a parody of Voltron, Super Sentai (as well as its American adaptation, Power Rangers) and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, the latter of which also created by the series creator Ciro Nieli) than animals, he adopted a cat April found on the street after the cat ate some mutagen Mikey had spilled ice cream in, resulting in the arable and delicious Ice Cream Kitty; most likely this incarnation's version of Klunk. Michelangelo's relationship with Ice Cream Kitty parallels Raphael's with pre-mutation Spike, wherein he will tell Ice Cream Kitty his innermost feelings and fears, and not feel judged by them - as often his brothers find Mikey's concerns and thoughts too silly to be worth their time, though said concerns end up being true quite often; such as the existence of the Kraang in "Rise of the Turtles Pt1". Bearing this in mind, however, Michelangelo does not seem to have any special relationships with animals like he has done in other incarnations, though he still cares for animals deeply, as exhibited by his caring for April's chickens whilst the Turtles are at April's old farmhouse at the start of season 3. In season 4, when traveling with his brothers, April, Casey, and a robot called the Fugitoid, Mikey's mind is invaded by microscopic aliens, but his brothers soon chase the robots in a strange world in Mikey's subconscious and soon defeat them, putting Mikey's mind back to normal.") And so Irma was teleported from Dimension X to New York City as ordinary teenage girl. The events would play out the same, during those times Irma began to feel attached to April and felt what it’s like to care but she knows deep down she would have to capture her and bring her to the Kraang. This was until it got to the point where April knew she can trust Irma with Splinter and the turtles like she did Casey before. Irma knew about Splinter and the Turtles and about their mutation. She looked down in shame and started to confess her true colors and purpose much to the shock everyone. She openly admitted that during her time spying for Kraang she felt that she understood the human emotion and while doing so she let the reminder of her duty fade. Enraged. Kraang Subprime started to berate her calling her useless, pathetic, and disobedient threatening when he gets his tenticles on her he would change her programming making her a pawn again. The battle would be the same but with Irma’s help. After the Kraang’s retreat, Irma was with the others escaping to the O’Neil barn house and went with Casey to help look for his father and sister and then comforted him learning that they were taken prisoner by the Kraang and were nowhere to be found. Many things would happen during their stay at the barn, like helping Leonardo recover, meeting Big Foot, and racing with a mutant muscle car. The gang would return to New York to find Splinter only to learn that it was overrun by Kraang Droids and Foot Bots. When finding Splinter, Irma was shocked to that Splinter went savage and tried to reason with him which resulted Splinter biting her arm off and ran. Donnie would help replace her arm with one of the Kraang droids they knocked out earlier. The city was still underseige of the Kraang for they mutated and mind controlled civialians including April’s Father. Irma would stay with Casey, April and Splinter at Antonio’s Pizza while the turtles try to search for Karai who was mutated into a serpent. Irma would take part with the turtles in trying to find and help Karai, help piloting the turtle mech fighting and defeating Mecha Shredder, exploring the universe in space after meeting cyborg named Zayton Honeycutt, learning about her origins within the Utrom council, witnessing the awakening of Tokka and the destruction of Triceraton flagship. During war of Dimension X she meets with Bishop and became good friends since they had their own purpose instead of being pawns. She witnessed April’s promotion to full kunoichi and his happy for her best friend and they would train together as friends. When April’s mind was taken over by Za-Narron, Irma, Casey and Donnie tried to talk her out of the possession until she was able to regain control. Irma and the team would encounter Alopex and learn if the curse of the twin blades. Irma is with Donatello, MichaelAngelo and Leatherhead to take on Bebop and Rocksteady. After Shredder killed Splinter throwing him off the roof after stabbing him and then gets thrown off too and landing in a garbage truck she stares at him with hatred as Casey crushed the Shredder at the back and joins others mourning the death of Hamato Yoshi and is present at his funeral. She them helps the turtles, mutatanimals, and the foot (now ruled by Karai) against the ghost invasion by Kavaxas and after both Kavaxas and Shredder were both sent back to the neither world Irma, along with Casey, Karai, April, and the Turtles said goodbye to Splinter’s ghost as he returns to the afterlife. It was the. decided that Irma would stay with Casey and his family, at first she wanted to stay with April because of the good she saw in her but her dad wouldn’t allow it since he suffered paranoia when he was taken as Kraang’s prisoner. She would visit the turtles occasionally with Casey and April. She would sometimes Donatello with his inventions and experiments." + "Leeshawn aka Rook from "Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", based on both the characters of Leeshawn from the IDW comics and Rook from the 2012 series. In this version, she's the daughter of Ma'riell/Queen and a member of the Utrom Council along with the latter and Churk/Pawn. Also, due to the fact she often goes to Earth as a representative of the Council to meet the Fugitoid (under the disguise of Zayton Honeycutt), she's known as Irma Langinstein who is a good ally of the Hamato Clan.") Role("I personally found this to be a creative way to bring Irma back without actually bringing Irma back. But then I thought, what if this concept was handle differently? Still having Irma but keeping the robot twist. So here’s my rewrite for 2012 Irma/Rook. Irma’s introduction and role in season 2 will remain the same as canon, being the nosey friend that April and Casey have to hide their secret life and mutant turtle friends from. She constantly shows suspicion that her friends are hiding something from her, but no matter how hard she tries to learn the truth, April and Casey find a way to dodge that topic. One moment I purposely intend to keep from season 2 is during the episode “A Chinatown Ghost Story” when the ghost Ho-Chan has April and Irma captured, planning to use April’s powers for his evil plans. He then looks at Irma and says this: This line foreshadows the later reveal that she’s a Kraang bot in canon (because Ho-Chan is a ghost who doesn’t understand advance alien technology) and for this rewrite that line will remain, but for a different purpose that I’ll explain later. The true start of this rewrite begins during the season 2 finale when April takes Irma to the turtles lair to hide from the Kraang invasion that’s occurring. In canon Irma is taken to the lair, sees the turtles and reveals herself to be Kraang Sub Prime in disguise. This results in the Kraang invading the turtles lair and causing our heroes to leave New York to hide out at April’s farmhouse in season 3. But what if that didn’t happen? What if Irma wasn’t Kraang Sub Prime? So instead when April takes Irma to the lair, unknown to them they were being tracked/followed by the Kraang (And Kraang Sub Prime who will still show up but in a non Irma like robot suit). The Kraang invade the Turtles lair giving Irma very little time to question or freak out about the four mutant turtles and rat as the lair gets under attack by the Kraang. The season 2 finale ends with Irma escaping New York with the turtles (an unconscious Leo), April, and Casey. At the start of season 3 April would explain in her journal narration during the first episode that Irma does not seem too phased by the whole mutant turtles situation, how she is more intrigued than scared or freak out by them. Irma would explain to April (either later in the episode or through April’s journal narration) that she’s already witness other crazy things in her life (referencing back to her being kidnapped by the Rat King and by Ho-Chan) so the turtles to her aren’t anything new. In fact, she actually gets along well with them! Irma would spend her time during the farmhouse arc hanging out with the turtles. She’d watch Crognard with Mikey, help care for Leo, tag team with Raph into picking on Casey, and spend a lot of time with Donnie in his lab barn (nerds being nerds together). She would not take part in their training though, saying she’s not much of a fighter, but still watches and supports them when they do. Skip to the 2nd episode “A Foot Too Big” because it ends differently and this is were things take a turn for both April and Donnie’s characters and relationship. By the end of the episode Donnie and April would talk about the Bigfoot situation and Donnie would tell her he now understands how she feels and how he will stop perusing her (something canon should’ve had him do, but noooooo). April will tell Donnie that she doesn’t want this to mean their friendship will end, that she understands and acknowledges his feelings for her, but she can’t come to reciprocating his feelings right now due to everything going on. She assures him that its not because of him being a mutant, but because she just sees him as one of her best friends and does not want to take that away. Donnie fakes a smiles and says he’s glad she’s his friend too. They hug before April leaves him alone on the porch, still upset with how things turned out between him and his first crush, but at the same time he knows it’s for the best. Then enters Irma to see how he’s doing. She cheers him up, making a joke how he dodge a bullet on the whole Bigfoot thing, maybe jokingly saying they would’ve made a cute couple, making Donnie laugh and truly smile, something he hasn’t done the whole episode. They share a sweet moment as Irma then offers to help him work on a new project Donnie has been testing in his barn lab (mainly with the goal to help him get his mind off of the April thing). Donnie accepts and they head off to the lab. The episode ends with April looking at them through the window with a faint smile on her face. Irma and Donnie begin to grow a bond after that episode, she helps him out in his barn lab and they’re always seen talking about something scientific or laughing about an inside joke between them. His brothers would be happy that Irma’s getting along with them, while also indirectly saying that Donnie is moving in from his crush on April, and while April is happy seeing her two closest friends get along so well there’s small signs of slight jealousy. Donnie is now focusing more on Irma, practically ignoring April and spending more time with Irma. And yet despite Irma becoming closer to the team, the gang has noticed a few things off about her, mostly for Mikey in the beginning. Suspicion of her on Mikey’s end begins to surface during the episode “Buried Secrets”. When they find the Kraang ship under April’s house Irma seems to understand how the ship operates a little too well, figuring it out quicker than Donnie (someone who has experience with this kind of technology vs someone who, to our knowledge, doesn’t). For example: She knows how to power it on and is able to retrieve info files from the ship in a matter of seconds (foreshadowing). Mikey notices this odd detail about their new friend very quickly while the others just see it as Irma being smart, but Mikey doesn’t say anything for now because they are too focus on the return/discovery of April’s “mother” and his suspicions turn to her instead like in canon. First half of season 3 will then play out like in canon, just now with the inclusion of Irma, some occasional lines from her, funny dialogue and jokes from her, banter between her and Raph or Casey, and her and Donnie bonding (something that’s really catching April’s attention the more it happens). I can imagine a scene where Raph confronts Donnie about the whole Irma situation teasing him and saying something like “So you’re changing targets, huh?”. Donnie would then laugh it off and say him and Irma are just friends, but Raph’s words start to get his little brother to think about his relationship with her and how maybe, just maybe, their could be something more. Before they head back to New York Donnie and Irma would be packing up the party wagon and they get to talking about what they will do once they save New York. Donnie would ask Irma if she’d be interested in spending more time with him after they save New York, like they did at the farmhouse. Irma seems rather surprised by his offer, but happily accepts. Cut to Mikey watching their conversation from inside the farmhouse and finally he asks his brothers if they noticed anything off about Irma. “I’ve been noticing weird things about her since the day I met her,” Casey jokes. “No, I mean like, really weird,” Mikey says, “Like April’s fake mom weird...” The turtles and Casey laugh it off, saying that Mikey probably just finds it strange that a girl is actually interested in Donnie. Mikey doesn’t try to persuade them with his theories any longer, knowing they won’t take him seriously, but he does ask April for her thoughts for she has known Irma the longest. April tells Mikey that Irma has always been a mysterious person in her life, she never recalls her ever mentioning her family, let alone ever actually being to her house. April then goes on to tell Mikey the story of how she met Irma, saying she met her a little while after she first met Mikey and his brothers. She explains that Irma was the new girl at her high school and April was assigned to be her guide and show her around the school. She says they quickly bonded, with Irma seeming rather determined to befriend her, but April assumed that was just her being new and wanting a friend, and they became best friends shortly after. Mikey then starts to get convinced that maybe he’s just overthinking everything about Irma, saying aloud that maybe his brothers and Casey are right that he just thinks its strange that a girl is actually interested in Donnie. “W-What do you mean by that?” April asks curiously. “Oh, you know... Donnie and Irma kinda have a little spark between them.” Mikey says with a wink. “A spark?...” April has no time to think over what Mikey said for it is now time to go back to New York and save the city from the Kraang. I imagine the whole returning to New York part of mid season 3 with Irma to be that she kind of hangs off on the side. She’s not a fighter so she hides out, but I imagine at one point she steals a Kraang blaster from one the destroyed Kraang bots and finally gets into the action, kicking some Kraang a$$. When they find Splinter and hide out in the pizzeria, Irma keeps her blaster and stays at the pizzeria with Splinter most of the time, mainly to make sure he’s okay, helping him recover after what happened to him, and to protect him and their hide out while the others go out to save the city. If some of you recall, I did another rewrite a while back about the character Bishop and for this rewrite for Irma, I’m adding my changes to Bishop here as well. To summarize: Bishop would get introduced into the story sooner in season 3 for better build up of the later space arc in season 4. Basically take the episode “Battle For New York” and replace Kurtzman with Bishop. Bishop would be a mysterious information source the Mutanimals and later the turtles would be getting their info about the Kraang from and soon Bishop reveals himself to both mutant teams to discuss with them the Kraang’s finale plan to mutate the Earth in their own Dimension X. While they don’t trust him (for obvious reasons), they have no other choice but to team up with this Kraang look-a-like. As the half hour special plays out eventually The turtles, Mutanimals, and Bishop meet up with April and the others. As they do Bishop comes across Irma and they stare each other down. Irma then approaches the Utrom and says “About time you decided to get involved with this Kraang problem.” Irma says in a snarky tone. They then join in the fist bump Fugitoid and Bishop do in the episode “The War For Dimension X”. Everyone looks at Irma confused as Bishop tells her, “We needed time to prepare and know what the Kraang were planning, Agent Rook. Queen told me to stand by and let the battle take its course but I had to intervene.” “Irma?” April asked, “What’s going on?” “Yeah, what is he talking about? And why is he calling you Agent Rook?” Donnie adds. “You befriended them yet you never told them the truth...” Bishop huffs. “You know I wasn’t supposed to. Queens orders.” Irma tells him. This is the reveal, Irma finally comes clean about her true identity. She explains that her name is not Irma Langinstein, but Agent Rook. She is not human but an Utrom from Dimension X who her and her people have been fighting against the Kraang for centuries. She explains that after the very first episode when the turtles stop the Kraang from kidnapping April the Utrom Council were given word that a mysterious source has been fighting against the Kraang. The Council were aware that April was the main target for the Kraang’s plan so they came to the conclusions that who ever is stopping the Kraang must have a close connection with April. That’s when Rook came in. Her mission from the Utrom Queen was to attend April’s high school undercover as a new student and befriend April to achieve two goals: 1) Keep an eye on April and protect her from the Kraang or any future abductions. 2) Find out who are the one’s stopping all of the Kraang’s schemes and figure out if they are a threat or an ally to her people. (Basically Irma was assigned to be April’s bodyguard) That’s why Irma was always trying to presaude April and Casey to introduce her to their mysterious other friends, for she knew they were the ones stopping the Kraang. Once she officially met them, before leaving New York in the season 2 finale, Rook sent out a secret message to Bishop letting him know who were the ones stopping the Kraang all this time, the Turtle Warriors. With that Bishop began collecting info on the Kraang’s plan, secretly sending them to the Mutanimals, knowing they would give them to the Turtles once they have returned. It’s like they were playing a game of chess with everyone (lol get it?). So you could imagine the shock and feeling of betrayal the Turtles, April, and Casey felt when they found out their friend was not who she said she was. Well... except for Mikey. Mikey when it was revealed that Irma is an Utrom: The rest of the episode will be all about stopping the Kraang from launching their mutagen missile to mutate the Earth, but the side plot, beside one of them being the Mutanimals story and Slash’s insecurities as leader, will also be about Irma (now going to be referred to as Rook for the rest of the rewrite) trying to gain her friends trust again. They now all believe that they meant nothing to her, how she was only their for a mission, they were her mission, to examine them and practically watch them like a babysitter. April feels hurt because she trusted her and she was her best friend yet all their time together now felt like it was nothing, and as for Donnie he feels he doesn’t know her any more and how their relationship was nothing as well. The gang all try to ignore Rook during the special, not acknowledging her when she tries to explain herself to them, but their opinions on her change when Rook saves April. Let’s say April’s back was turned and she was unaware a Kraang was about to shoot her so Rook jumps in to save her. She takes the blast for April, resulting in Rook's robotic arm being shot off. April panics as Rook tells her not to worry, she can just replace it later, saying “I got tons more at home.” April and Rook would then share a moment together, Rook would apologize for not being honest with her and April would tell her there’s no need to apologize, saying she understands that Rook was just doing her job and her intentions were never bad. Rook then tells her that all her time she spent with everyone, especially her, was genuine, she loved hanging out with April and the others and truly consider them her friends. April then asks about Donnie, “Were those feelings genuine?” she asks. Before Irma could give an answer they get interrupted by another Kraang attack and get back into the fight. We maybe then get a cool April and Irma back to back shot of them kicking Kraang a$$, April with her tessan and Rook with her blaster. Little side note for those who are curious: Yes, Rook/Irma has lived longer than the turtles, April, and Casey in this rewrite (and also techically in canon), but I don’t consider her an adult. Reminder that in Dimension X time goes by quicker, remember when Mikey was in Dimension X for months but to his brothers he was only in there for a few seconds. So my headcanon for this rewrite is that Rook in Dimension X is hundreds of years old, but in Earth years she’s around 16. Back to the rewrite! Once the battle with the Kraang is over and the Turtles and Mighty Mutanimals save the day, Donnie reunites with Rook and they get to talking. Donnie sees Rook with her missing arm and worries about her, but she tells him not to worry and how she can fix it easily. Seeing her sacrifice makes Donnie and the rest of the Turtles realize they were wrong about Rook and how she is still there friend. Donnie can even acknowledge how amazed he is by her technology and robot body and wants so badly to ask her so many questions about what she knows (since she’s an alien and knows so much) but before he could Bishop says it is time for him and Rook to return home. There’s not enough time for heartfelt goodbyes as Bishop and Rook must head back to their base to report to the Utrom Queen of what had happened with the Kraang. Rook looks at her friends, says a quick goodbye, and heads towards the portal that will take her back home to her dimension. However before she walks through the turtles and friends call out to her. Rook turns and looks back at them as they all smile. “Come visit us any time!” Mikey happily shouts out to her. Her attention then gets drawn to Donnie as the purple turtle looks at her and smiles, “We’re still on to hang out right? Now that this is all over?” A gleam of hope sparks in her eyes as she smiles, “Definitely!” Mid season 3 would conclude the Irma/Rook being apart of the team arc. For the rest of the series Rook will be back with the Utrom Council, so she wouldn’t make as many appearances as before but still be a helpful ally to the Turtles. Though she’s no longer in the main cast, in this rewrite she would still make appearances in certain episodes such as the season 3 finale, “The War for Dimension X” (this time with more character interactions with the turtles, mainly Donnie, and even Fugitoid who she’s good friends with), and even her working along side Bishop in the episode “Tokka vs The World”. The episode “When Worlds Collide” would also give her a little more screen time for it would play out differently too, but that’s a rewrite for another post. As for her relationship with Donnie I’ll leave that decision up to you guys. Do her and Donnie start something romantic or do they decide to stay friends and occasional lab partners aka nerd buddies? Or do Donnie and April end up together due to better character and relationship growth in the rewrite. Maybe April’s slight jealousy of Donnie and Rook’s relationship led to her to realize her true feelings for Donnie. Again, I’ll leave that up to you guys in the comments.") Voice("Kate Micucci") }]

Saki who had found out his true background and claimed the throne of The Foot Clan, decided to attack Yoshi in the Hamato Dojo in the middle of the night, as he was seeking vengeance on him for supposedly taking away Tang Shen from him, the girl that he loved as well. During the fight between the two rivals, Oroku Saki was willing to assassinate Yoshi with his Tekkō-kagi in the fire that was consuming the Dojo, which was going to occur when the climax of the fight came, until Tang Shen interfered in the fight and took the final blow of the Tekkō-kagi. After she was killed and the men were devastated, Saki got burnt by a piece of burning ceiling and was permanently scarred by these burns. When he exited the Hamato Dojo that was burning down in the fire, he found baby Miwa, who was abandoned and took her as his own daughter. Ever since that tragic night, Oroku Saki, now renamed in his birth clan as The Shredder, had renamed the daughter of Hamato Yoshi, Oroku Karai. Oroku Karai was raised by The Shredder as his own daughter and was trained by both him and Hattori Tatsu into the ways of Ninjutsu, becoming a Kunoichi later on. At some point she was given by Oroku Saki her Shikomizue and became the second-in-command of The Foot Clan, after Tatsu fled from the clan. 15 years later when Shredder and The Foot found out that Hamato Yoshi was living in New York City, she went with them to help out in the hunt for Shredder's old enemy. After Karai was rescued by the Ninja Turtles and was taken to the Turtle's Lair to reunite with Splinter, she decided to go on her on to Shredder's Hideout to seek vengeance on Shredder for him assassinating her mother and lying about her background. While trying to have a final showdown with The Shredder, she was later on defeated by him. This then resulted into Karai being taken hostage by The Foot Clan. After she was taken to Baxter Stockman's Laboratory, she was locked up in a cage that was on top of the Mutagen Tank of Baxter Fly, with his ultimate plan being revealed to Tiger Claw of mutating the Ninja Turtles once they got near the tank, so that they could mutate into mindless serpents with the Mindless Serpent Serum that Stockman developed. This would lead for the Turtles (now mutant serpents) to attack and kill Splinter mindlessly and from there The Shredder would finally achieve his vengeance. Once the Turtles and Splinter infiltrated the laboratory to rescue Miwa, Splinter, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo were all captured, leaving Leonardo to rescue her. Once he had reached the cage that contained Karai and was about to set her free, The Shredder out of nowhere came to attempt to push him, but his Steel Claws cuts off the chain that was holding Karai's cage. This causes the teenager to fall into the Mutagen to mutate into a mindless three-headed serpent mutant (who has shape-shifting abilities, possibly gained from the mysterious substance in the serum), which devastated the Turtles, Splinter, and Shredder.") Along with Pulverizer's high Physical Defense buff and the 10% Taunting defense boost, Pulverizer has a high chance of gaining more Defense in battle via an effect. Pulverizer's "On It!" team boost also grant allies Speed. Pulverizer's other damage-based attack is "Amazing Combo", which can upgraded to be slightly overpowered and can harm the enemy team greatly. Since Pulverizer is in the Spirit class, he fights best against Swift characters such as Kraang Subprime and Karai (Movie). Although, this doesn't really matter, as most of the time, Pulverizer will not be dealing many damage points to enemies. Pulverizer is possibly one of the best supporting characters in the game, and is a good addition to the player's roster.") Occupation("Formerly Ice cream truck vendor" + "Formerly Wannabe superhero" + "Formerly Foot Clan ashigarusha" + "Formerly Insane mutant" + "Formerly Lab furniture" + "Currently Doofus of The Hamato Clan" + "Currently Doofus of The Mighty Mutanimals") Backstory("Timothy Gutz was born on October 20, 1997 to a family of big shots in New York. He was the only child of Chelsie and Seymour Gutz. Chelsie was a well-known cake decorator and is famous for making extraordinary cakes for people. Seymour Gutz is the producer on Channel six news. Both parents wanted Timothy to have a chance to be a big shot. As Timothy got older, he was getting pretty tired of his parents pushing him to do something big. It leads Timothy to overthink his future. When he told his parents about this, they thought they needed someone special to help him. They would make Timothy go on speed dates with you that are well-known in Manhattan. It didn't work out since the you would either judge him by his looks or try to get his parents' money. The Gutz weren't rich but they have good money. Timothy felt more determined to have a future for himself. He was struggling until that very day. Timothy was a superhero geek at Roosevelt High School, who was the teenaged fan of the turtles who operated as an ersatz superhero under the name "The Pulverizer". Timothy used to be a classmate of April O'Neil and Casey Jones but also a big fan of who decided to become a hero after he first saw found out about the Turtles secretly after watching months ago when they were battling Baxter Stockman on the roof near his apartment window for the first time. Believing the Turtles were crime-fighters in turtle costumes, he decided to become one himself. He was inspired by the turtles to become a hero. Timothy made own a Ninja Turtle-themed costume and dubbed calling himself "The Pulverizer", he set out to become a hero, even though he had no fighting skills at all... He was determined to be a well-known hero and make his parents proud. When he saw the Purple Dragons stealing kraang tech, he decided to stop them himself. Months after that, the Pulverizer finally meets the Turtles in person. When he attempted to stop the purple dragons, he is quickly outmatched, and the Turtles come to his rescue. They succeed in saving his life, but his attempts to help them fight results in the gang escaping with their stolen loot, despite him being chubby and out of shape. Timothy quickly became a bit of a pain afterwards and was still unaware that the turtles were actual mutants, during an incident with Dogpound, some foot soldiers and the kraang, Timothy finally learns and wishes to become a mutant as well, and unfortunely, gets his wish. He ended up beings turned into a glob with all his organs floating around and was dubbed "Mutagen Man". He was last seen being frozen by Donnie and kept in his lab, hoping to find a cure. Starting as a simple annoying fanboy, he tried his best to be a hero like the turtles. Even though he was clumsy and bumbling. The Turtles try to ditch The Pulverizer, but the tails of his bandanna get caught in the door of The Shellraiser as they drive away. They unwittingly drive him back to the lair, but fortunately for them, he blacked out most of the way and didn't see how they got there. Still oblivious to the fact that the Turtles are mutants (until Donatello tells him), as well as the fact that they don't want him in their lair, the Pulverizer quickly becomes a nuisance, he made some regress. He does, however, give them a clue as to what the Purple Dragons stole and why. However, they leave the Pulverizer behind with Donatello. After trying to ignore him for a while, Donnie tries to teach the overeager hero wannabe some basic self-defense moves with little success. In the middle of the training, after Donnie teaches him how to knock people over (where he fails horribly), Michelangelo calls and tells him about a situation with Raphael. Donnie asks the Pulverizer to drive the Shellraiser while he makes an antidote for Fishface's venom. Before they reach the building, they reach a roadblock, which Donnie forces him to jump. After Donnie injects the antidote in Raph, he discovers the lead casing on the power cell is broken because of the jump. The turtles and Pulverizer get in the Shellraiser and try to hurry back to the lair. Unfortunately, the Kraang find them and the Turtles, except Leo, try to fend them off. Leo crashes the Shellraiser into a wall and he joins the action. Meanwhile, the Pulverizer stays inside the van and catches one of the Kraang stealing the power cell. He tries to stop it and fails, but he still pursues it. Donnie warns him not to go after the Kraang, but he ignores him. He tries to knock the Kraang down with a technique Donnie taught him, but he fails. Instead, two more Kraang droids attack him while the other one gets on a helicopter. At first, Donnie goes after the power cell, but he decides to help the Pulverizer. The Pulverizer blames himself for the power cell getting stolen, but Donnie admits it was his own fault. He then tells the Pulverizer that he won't be learning from him anymore, but Pulverizer vows to continue training. They tried convincing him to give up the superhero act since he clearly didn't have the right stuff, but he was persistent. As the weeks went by, Timothy later joins the Foot Clan, but he is pathetic as a foot soldier and is only kept in the ranks to work as an ashigarusha. He tries to spy for his new clan but is found by the Turtles. He reveals his new job to the Turtles with pride, much to Donatello's protest, but he also gives the Turtles some information about the Foot's plans. He then volunteers to be mutated in the clan, foolishly believing it'll make him a mutant hero like what happened to the turtles. Donatello comes in and attacks Dogpound and Fishface to save him. He is able to keep the Pulverizer away from the mutagen just as the other turtles arrive, who defeat all of the foot soldiers. When cornered by Dogpound, and with the turtles fighting the Foot soldiers and Fishface, The Pulverizer pours ooze on himself and mutates. He gets his wish to be a mutant but turns into a disgusting mess of organs, now unable to speak and barely sentient. When Dogpound locks the doors and rigs the place with plastic explosives, the turtles could easily leave, but Donatello refuses to leave without him. The Turtles store him in some sort of Mutagen Containment Barrel and Raphael breaks out with his stealth bike. At the lair, Donatello brings him to his laboratory and vows to find a way to cure him. Months went by as Timothy was still a mutant. After April started holding a grudge against the turtles, Donatello was quick to try and create a retromutagen. He experiments with the retromutagen hoping to find a cure for Timothy and April's father, Kirby. While experimenting, he explains to the contained mutant-Timothy about his heartbreak caused by April, but when his experiment suddenly ends in failure and Splinter calls for Donnie, Timothy is left alone in the room. During this time, he stretches his newly gained tentacle-mouth to Donatello's lab-table and drinks some of the mutagen, resulting in Timothy evolving into a much more powerful mutant, with new arms and legs in his containment unit and became super strong, insane, and development an addiction to mutagen. He then goes on a rampage after April O' Neil, believing her to be the only one nice enough to be his friend from Donatello's stories. During a later battle, Mikey calls him "Mutagen Man" and during another battle, later on, Mutagen Man also uses that name to refer to himself. Donnie freezing him by tricking him into drinking faulty retromutagen. Donnie still promises that he will try to make Timothy human again one day. But eventually Donatello as well as the turtles soon forget about him after they left to go to April's farmhouse. After the Kraang invasion was over, the turtles remained doing what they do normally it was then that the frozen Timothy was discovered by {{user}} hopes to create an Ooze with Retro-Mutagen Gun to cure Timothy into a mindless living blob of mutant with exposed organs and can almost completely change back to his human self, retaining only his unable to speak, barely sentient, mutant blob with floating hideous mess of exposed organs, and disintegrating touch (who has shape-shifting abilities, possibly gained from the mysterious substance in the serum), which comforted the Turtles, Splinter, April O'Neil, and Casey Jones. After the events of Be Free Timothy, he is now an ally of the turtles and joins the Hamato Clan. He pretty soon gave up being a superhero although he would still wear his costume when it comes to missions and training. Timothy pretty soon got what he wanted: new friends, new possibilities, and a both girlfriend and boyfriend. Timothy later joined the Mighty Mutanimals after he was found by Slash and the rest of the team after the departure of the Turtles, and their allies from New York during the Invasion of the Kraang.")
