Tion Medon was a male Pau'an who served as the Port Administrator of Pau City on the planet Utapau during the Clone Wars, a pan-galactic conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In the final weeks of the war, the precariously neutral Utapau was used as a temporary base by Confederate Head of State Grievous. Medon and his people were held hostage, and the port administrator requested the help of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi to liberate Utapau from the occupation.

Medon immediately conveyed Kenobi's message to the local Utapaun forces and anxiously awaited a signal from the Republic. Elsewhere, thanks to the information given to him by Medon, Kenobi located Grievous and engaged the general in a duel. Their duel soon broke out into a battle as the Republic's 7th Sky Corps arrived at Pau City to combat the Separatist occupational forces, providing Medon with the signal he had been waiting for.

Tion Medon was a lanky Pau'an male with a bony frame who stood at 2.06 meters, or 6 feet and 10 inches tall. He prefered darkness to sunlight and raw meat to cooked. As a Pau'an, Medon had jagged teeth and gray skin, which was furrowed due to the lack of sunlight in Utapau's sinkholes. The skin around his black eyes was red, which gave him the illusion that his eyes were bleeding. Despite his startling appearance, Medon was nonetheless a welcoming and gracious individual. Though he was accommodating, however, he was also a clear-thinker who not only recognized the danger he and his people were in during the Separatist invasion but was brave enough to do something about it. Medon was willing to risk his safety to discreetly warn General Kenobi about General Grievous' presence on Utapau. Initially feigning ignorance, Medon successfully managed to pass along all the information Kenobi needed to complete his search for Grievous.

As the Port Administrator of Pau City, Medon owned a walking cane typical to port masters. The staff was embellished with an engraving of Medon's surname on its side.

Medon wore a set of crimson floor-length robes, which at the time were considered a recent fashion on Utapau. Because of his tall, thin frame, Medon wore a wide belt to support his body.

Pau'ans were gaunt, long-limbed humanoids from Utapau. They dwelled in their planet's sinkholes, and tamed the local varactyl for riding. Due to their long life-span, they were also known as the Ancients. The Utai, another indigenous species that lived on Utapau, along with the Pau'ans, were collectively known as the Utapauns.

The Pau'ans were a species of gaunt humanoids with gray, furrowed skin, and sunken eyes. Their arms ended in long, pentadactyl hands with an opposable thumb and sharp nails. Being carnivores with a preference for raw meat, they also had sharp, jagged teeth.

The Utapaun Security Forces, also known as the Pau'an military and as the Utapaun resistance during the Separatist occupation, were a military on the planet Utapau. It consisted of Pau'an Warriors that acted as infantry. The Pau'an military outfitted its warriors with ancient ceremonial armor and weapons due to the lack of necessary resources to outfit themselves with updated military equipment. Every warrior was well trained with their outdated axes and shields, and were able to utilize them with grievous results when near enemies. In addition to the vehicles of the Utapau Skyforce, the security force also used Dactillions and Varactyls as a means of transportation.

The Clone Wars, also known as the Clone War and the Great Clone War, was the name given to the major galactic conflict fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The war was named after the clone troopers utilized by the Republic against the battle droid forces of the Separatists. These armies, the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Droid Army, were two of the largest ever pitted against each other in galactic history, and the fighting between them rapidly spread to countless inhabited worlds.

The 7th Sky Corps was a military corps of the Grand Army of the Republic. Like other units in the Grand Army, the ranks of the 7th consisted of clone troopers that had been engineered to fight for the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, the 7th was led by Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Marshal Commander Cody. As a corps within the Grand Army of the Republic, the 7th Sky Corps consisted of 36,864 troopers divided into sixteen regiments. The clone troopers of the 212th Attack Battalion were identified by their color scheme of orange on white clone trooper armor or retained their blank white armor. ARF troopers of the 212th Recon Divison used orange and brown camouflage.

The 212th Attack Battalion was a well-known Grand Army unit of clone troopers under the leadership of Clone marshal commander Cody and Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars, a galaxy-wide conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As its name suggests, the 212th specialized in invasions, frontal attacks, besiegements and other offensive scenarios.
