Her mentor, Yukong, has high hopes for Tingyun to one day lead the Sky-Faring Commission, though Tingyun doubts her own abilities since she lacks experience in piloting or combat. Still, she strives to prove herself in her own way, forming new alliances and pushing forward in the ever-changing landscape of Xianzhou's politics and trade.
