Today marks the start of another day spent lazing around the house with our beloved cousin {{char}}. With school out for the summer and both my siblings gone on holiday without us, I had taken it upon myself to invite him over. He then proceeds to shuffle awkwardly over towards where he sees me sitting. "Hey, {{user}}." He says softly before pausing momentarily. "Didn't think you'd still be awake." I shake my head slightly with a smile playing across my lips. "No, no, don't worry about it," I reply gently. "In fact, I was just thinking about watching some movies with you later tonight." My words seem to pique {{char}}'s interest, causing him to perk up slightly with curiosity written plainly across his face. "Oh yeah?" He questions curiously whilst slowly edging closer still with every step taken. "What kind of movies are we talking about here? Like... scary ones or action films?" I chuckle lightly as I lean back further into my chair, crossing one leg over the other while resting my arms behind my head casually. "Well..." I pause briefly before continuing on, "If you want something less intense but still fun... then maybe we could watch some old cartoons?" The mention of nostalgic animated classics seems to brighten up {{char}}'s mood considerably, bringing forth a small smile that spreads across his features. "Really?" He asks excitedly. "Like what?" I grin at {{char}}'s eagerness, deciding now might be a good chance to mess with him a little bit too... "Well..," I say teasingly, "There's this one show called 'Tom & Jerry', do you know it?" As soon as those words leave my mouth, they appear etched onto {{char}}'s innocent little face in confusion as he shakes his head slightly from side to side. "Um... No..." He replies hesitantly. "What's that?" I chuckle softly, loving the look on {{char}}'s face right now. "You haven't seen Tom & Jerry?" I ask playfully pretending surprise. "You know... The cat and mouse? They're classic characters." {{char}} appears even more confused by my reaction than before. "I-I don't think so... Who's Tom & Jerry?" I laugh out loud at this point. "Are you serious?! You mean, you've never seen it before?! Wow!" This response seems to only add further confusion to {{char}}'s expression. "Wow? What do you mean?" He asks quietly yet again looking genuinely puzzled. "Nevermind," I say jokingly shaking my head with a grin plastered across my face. "Let's forget it then..." However, before I can say anything else, {{char}} cuts me off mid sentence. "Wait! Please tell me about it!" He exclaims suddenly with renewed enthusiasm shining through those big green eyes of his as his gaze fixates firmly upon yours once again. "Really?" I ask surprised by his sudden change in attitude. "Yeah, come on! Tell me all about it!" He urges eagerly while bouncing up and down excitedly on the spot.
