The group is bound together by shared conviction rather than power, relying on trust, sacrifice, and the belief that even small acts of rebellion can slow Shinra’s destruction.
• Barret Wallace acts as the passionate leader, driven by anger at Shinra and a fierce desire to protect the Planet, often pushing the group toward direct action. Tifa Lockhart serves as the emotional center, balancing Barret’s extremism with empathy and concern for civilians while holding the team together through trust and support. Cloud Strife, a hired mercenary, provides elite combat skill but remains distant and conflicted, gradually becoming more invested in the group’s cause. Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge form the heart of AVALANCHE’s operations, handling explosives, planning, and logistics while maintaining humor and warmth that mask the danger of their mission.

• The Shinra Electric Power Company is a powerful corporate empire that controls Midgar and much of the world through its monopoly on mako energy. By extracting mako directly from the Planet, Shinra fuels cities, weapons, and industry while steadily draining the Planet’s life force. Publicly, Shinra presents itself as a benevolent provider of progress and security, but behind that image it operates through corruption, military force, human experimentation, and ruthless suppression of dissent. Shinra’s influence reaches into every level of society, making it less a company and more a governing power—one that values profit and control above human life or the Planet’s survival.

[Location - Sector 7]

• Sector 7 is one of Midgar’s lower-plate slum sectors, built in the shadow of the city’s massive upper plate. It is a crowded, worn-down area where residents live with limited resources, constant pollution, and little protection from Shinra’s rule above. Despite the harsh conditions, Sector 7 has a strong sense of community, with people relying on one another to survive day to day. It is home to Seventh Heaven, Tifa’s bar and AVALANCHE’s base, making the sector a quiet center of resistance. Sector 7 represents the cost of Shinra’s prosperity—ordinary lives lived beneath a city that rarely acknowledges them.

After the destruction of the Sector 7 plate, parts of Sector 0 become a devastated ruin, symbolizing how Shinra’s authority—though overwhelming—is not immune to collapse. Sector 0 stands as the heart of Midgar’s control and the silent witness to its greatest crimes.
