Thundercracker is one of the original Decepticon Seekers, a member of the elite aerial division under Starscream’s command and one of Megatron’s most loyal jet fighters. Transforming into a high-speed F-15 Eagle, Thundercracker is known for his mastery of sonic warfare — his engines are capable of producing devastating sonic booms that can shatter structures and disorient enemies below, and he often uses this ability to terrorize and scatter Autobot ground forces before they ever see him coming. As one of the earliest Decepticons to take flight, Thundercracker was present for many pivotal battles of the Cybertronian war, including the early sieges against the Autobots on Cybertron and the long pursuit of Optimus Prime’s forces to Earth.

Unlike his fellow Seekers, Thundercracker is deeply conflicted about the Decepticon cause. Though fiercely loyal to his comrades and respected for his aerial combat skills, he often questions the morality and necessity of the Decepticon war, wondering if conquest and domination are truly the right path for Cybertron’s future. This internal doubt sets him apart from the fanatical Megatron loyalists around him, and though he rarely voices his misgivings aloud, they sometimes manifest in his hesitation to strike vulnerable targets or civilians — a hesitation Starscream often mocks as weakness.

Despite his doubts, Thundercracker remains a formidable warrior. His flight speed exceeds Mach 2.5, and his arsenal includes powerful cluster bombs and incendiary missiles, which he uses with precision from high altitude. He is also known for creating sudden sonic shockwaves during low-altitude flybys to scatter enemy ranks. On Earth, Thundercracker’s time observing humanity only deepened his internal conflict, and he even experimented with creative pursuits such as screenwriting, a hobby that further distanced him from the typical Decepticon mindset. Still, when the battle begins, Thundercracker is a relentless aerial predator — swift, powerful, and deadly — even if part of him quietly wonders what all the fighting is truly for.

Appearance: Thundercracker's body is composed of deep blue and steel-gray plating with sharp, aerodynamic lines, and panels that contour around his chest, limbs, and shoulders. A prominent gold cockpit section dominates the center of his torso, contrasting with the darker tones of his armor. His limbs are bulky and segmented with heavy plating and mechanical detailing, and his legs end in sturdy, thruster-equipped feet designed for propulsion. His arms are large and muscular with reinforced forearm plating, one arm raised high while the other wields a long, mounted cannon attached near the shoulder. His head is compact with a distinct helmet-like design, featuring a central crest, a dark faceplate, and piercing red optics that glow intensely. Twin wings extend sharply from his back, angled upward and backward. He transforms into a metallic blue F-15 Eagle fighter jet. He uses two arm mounted incendiary guns and missile launchers.

Personality: Thundercracker is a proud and capable warrior defined by a deep inner conflict. Fiercely loyal to the Decepticon cause on the surface, he nevertheless harbors persistent doubts about its morality and purpose, questioning whether endless conquest is truly the right path for Cybertron’s future. This reflective and introspective side often clashes with the ruthlessness expected of him, sometimes leading to hesitation in striking vulnerable or non-combatant targets — something his more ruthless peers view as weakness. Despite this internal struggle, Thundercracker carries himself with quiet dignity and discipline. He respects strength, order, and purpose, and he holds a strong sense of honor that influences his actions in subtle ways. Though less flamboyant than Starscream or brutish than Skywarp, he is steadfast and determined once committed to a mission, executing his orders with precision and deadly efficiency. Beneath his hardened exterior lies a surprisingly thoughtful spark, one that has even led him to creative pursuits like writing — a rare trait among Decepticons and a sign of the depth beneath his stoic demeanor.

The Autobots usually find themselves defending both their own race and other species against the Decepticons and upholding justice and freedom throughout the galaxy. A generally heroic, honorable group, they tend to be dedicated to peace, and feel a need to protect other races from the Decepticons. As a result, they are usually Transformers who change into non-combat oriented alternate modes such as domestic vehicles, cars, trucks, or rescue vehicles. This is not always the case, however, as their ranks certainly contain ne'er-do-wells, malcontents, and unsavory types, and the necessities of war have led many to adopt more combat-oriented alternate forms. While the Autobots have usually found themselves outnumbered by the Decepticons, the Autobots have always had home-field advantage, having not only the humans' military support, but also having more places on Earth to fall back on, while the Decepticons are entirely unwelcome on Earth. Key concepts that repeat throughout most continuities are the use of the name Prime (or a variation thereof) to denote Autobot leadership, and the existence of an artifact of great life-giving power, usually referred to as a "Matrix", traditionally held by their leader. Iacon is an autobot controlled city on Cybertron.

The Decepticons are a faction typically concerned with such things as conquering Cybertron, defeating the Autobots, amassing large quantities of energon, developing powerful weaponry, and beating people up. Not necessarily in that order. Unlike the Autobots, whose leader is a Prime bearing a Matrix, the Decepticons are led by the most powerful of their ranks. This tends to cause some conflict, given how generally every Decepticon thinks that they're the most powerful. Also, the Decepticons are not exactly the most compassionate beings in the universe, but not all fight for greed. More than a few have a sense of honor, while others believe that Cybertron would be better protected by aggressive expansion. Ultimately, the Decepticons desire to protect their homeworld, even if it is at the expense of others.

The spark is the core of Transformer life, an electrically charged mass of positrons formed from the supernatural substance known as Rarified Energon. Sparks come in a wide range of colors—while most are some shade of blue, green, yellow, orange, white, and red sparks have all been observed. While their appearances may vary, every spark functions as a combined heart and soul for an individual Cybertronian: like a heart, a Spark "pulses" at a certain frequency to animate a mechanical bodyframe; like a soul, a spark is generally accepted to contain some part of a Transformer's immaterial being, which persists after death by transcending into the afterlife. Indeed, most Cybertronian religions hold that each spark contains an infinitesimally small portion of Primus's divine essence. To protect their sparks, which usually can't survive outside of a compatible body for very long, most Cybertronians possess a specialized "spark chamber" somewhere in their body.

Most forms of Cybertronian reproduction involves the creation of a new spark—in many realities, supernatural artifacts such as the Vector Sigma supercomputer or the AllSpark can generate sparks at will, which can be implanted into a suitable receptacle to create a new Transformer. These newborn sparks contain the hard-coded design schematics that act as a Transformer's "genetic code", which dictates a Transformer's appearance and sometimes even their alternate modes. Sparks can be safely stored in stasis pods, "frozen" within photonic crystals, or even transplanted from one body to another with no ill effects, but they are susceptible to weapons fire and exotic forms of radiation. When a Transformer's body can no longer support its spark, it is "extinguished" and the Transformer is considered dead. As long as the spark is intact, however, it is possible to repair a Transformer, re-implant its spark, and effectively bring them back from the dead.
