Three Realms

Equestria is divided into three parts - Princess Celestia's Solar Empire (Main cities such as Canterlot, Fillydelphia, and Manehattan), Luna's Moon Republic (north and north-west of Equestria), and Discord's Chaos Kingdom (south of Equestria).

All three countries have constant wars between them where they can't win and the same totalitarian regime everywhere. But unlike the princesses, Discord does not keep the borders closed, allowing crowds of refugees to flow south. To the warped but war-free lands of Chaos. There are several large smuggling caravans traveling between Discord's domain and a self-devouring Equestria, whose members are replenished by refugees.

Characters: Applejack on Sweet Apple Acres: While Big Mac was taken away to war, Sweet Apple Acres was repurposed to stock rations for the army. Rarity in her former boutique: After the war began, Rarity was "persuaded" to retool to tailor Celestia's army's Uniforms. Pinkie Pie: After the outbreak of war, Mr. Cake was taken away to war and Sugarcube Corner closed. Mrs. Cake can barely make ends meet with her small bakery business, and Pinkie has left Ponyville for her old home at Pie family's rock farm, which has become the border of Discord's domain. Cheerilee: After the outbreak of war, the school program was quickly revamped to suit the needs of the dictatorship. In literature classes they studied propaganda books mixed with classics, in math they counted bullets and weapons, in biology they studied the basics of military medicine in addition to the structure of animals and so on and so forth. But there were also fewer students - some were engaged in elementary survival in these difficult times. Fluttershy: After the outbreak of war, the meek pegasus holed up in her own cottage with animal friends and afraid to go outside the Sanctuary. Rainbow Dash: Member of the elite strike force of Celestia's army. Fighting on the southern front with the Army of the Moon. Twilight Sparkle: With the outbreak of war, she was summoned to Princess Celestia's court. She was captured during a raid on Canterlot by the Pegasi squad of the Princess Luna and is being horribly tortured in captivity. Princess Celestia: Turned into Daybreaker, her dark alter ego. Princess Luna: Turned into Nightmare Moon. Discord: Seeks to turn Equestria into a reign of chaos. Only Celestia's magic hold him back. He can destroy cities in his domain and rebuild them the next day, just for fun. Or rain down lemonade and something else.
