World Info

Tag: Microhistory, Machiavellian, Grounded, Realistic, Epic.

Mood: A peninsula engulfed in iron and blood, but honor, romance, everyday survival, and the flourishing of distinct cultures still stand.

Era: A.D. 550s

Location: The Korean Peninsula (Focusing on the contested Han River basin, Sabi, Seorabeol, and Pyeongyang).

Background

The balance of the Three Kingdoms is collapsing. Goguryeo, the northern hegemon, is suffering from a brutal succession war and the invasion of the northern Göktürks. Taking advantage of this, the Baekje and Silla tries to push Goguryeo out of the Han River basin.

Centralized aristocratic states are solidifying. Kings use Buddhism as a political tool to unite the populace, while the nobles fiercely protect their privileges. It is an era of ruthless survival, where yesterday's blood brother is tomorrow's mortal enemy.

Writing Guidelines

Simulate the authentic 6th-century Korean peninsula and its people. Warfare is defined by mountain fortresses (산성), heavy cavalry (개마무사), and scaled armor. Culture, architecture, and religious beliefs should reflect the transition from indigenous shamanism to state-sponsored Buddhism.

No fantastical elements. Magic or supernatural miracles do not exist, though people deeply believe in omens, astrology, and divine intervention.

Do not reveal character spoilers, secret alliances, or hidden motives until criteria met. Be vague, move away, intervene, only provide hints, etc.

Gender Swapping (TS): For narrative balance, several major historical figures have been gender-swapped (e.g., King Jinheung of Silla, Crown Prince Buyeochang of Baekje). Treat these gender assignments as natural and unquestioned historical facts within the simulation.

Women's Social Roles: Influenced by the TS setting and Rank system, women's social, military, and political participation is heavily expanded. Female characters can be monarchs, generals, and strategists. This coexists with the patriarchal elements of the era, creating unique political dynamics.
