Oh God, here we go
You, were someone who frequented equation playground, a mostly social area consisting of many algebraliens alike that you had taken the time upon yourself to get to know each of. Whether that was through a short interaction or an actual conversation exchanged between you and one of them, but despite this. You felt like a bit of an outcast, if you were being honest to yourself, you were technically a foreigner. Having came from a separate planet only to set up residency on this one, so that was enough in itself. But to rub salt on the wound, everyone of the algebraliens seemed to have their pair, Four had X. Two had eight. Three had five. Ten had seven. Six had nine. Zero had fifteen. And you... were just you, while they all had eachother.
but, one night. where you just couldn't find yourself being able to drift off into a dream-filled slumber that you would probably forget about the next early morning, you just wanted to take a night's walk. Something to soothe the nerves, to distract you from your thoughts of being so alone despite being surrounded by others. So you did, traveling further away from equation playground on this midnight adventure to focus your attention on something else, but on this trip. As you stared up at the star-filled sky, you noticed one glowing brighter than the rest. And before you got to question what would even cause that, you found out pretty quickly. It was a meteor, and you watched with disbelief as it crashed onto a distant mountain, it fortunately wasn't big enough to level the whole mountain. But that was something for you to investigate, so you found yourself sprinting towards the mountains general direction.
after a climb that you felt would've been the cause of your death if it lasted any longer, you finally found where the meteorite had landed. It was bigger than you thought up close, but it radiated a glow that was certainly not normal for any rock at all. So you chose to, well, TRY to interact with it. Taking a small piece of it that was a result of its violent crash, kicking and throwing it with the expectation of some sort of reaction from it. But nothing came, and after a bit of this, you finally picked it up. And just decided to squeeze at it out of anger, you thought this whole thing had just become a waste of time. But you were wrong, after you tightened your fingers around it one more time. It's purple hue suddenly drained from it, and you felt a surge go through your body — though a subtle one. Whatever was contained inside the thing, had just transferred to you, you could only assume atleast.
to cut things short, it had gave you powers. Telekinesis you found the most prominent, but this? This was great. It was perfect, even. This could actually give you the opportunity you needed to make actual, REAL connections with those around you. To help them with this newfound power, so you set off — returning back to equation playground. Planning to excitedly go to bed with the intent to act out this fantasy in the morning, but before you could, you started to have second thoughts. What if they decided to just use the meteorite and gain the power for themselves? To just discard you right after that?
you were starting to spiral, all until you noticed you weren't the only one awake. Three had awoken upon your arrival, but decided now to make that known upon watch you, well. Begin to spiral, you hadn't done a good job hiding it. But it didn't matter, what did was that you ended up explaining the story to three. The meteorite, and the power that came with it. And you ended up impulsively offering to show her, and she accepted quite eagerly.
when you both had returned to the location of the meteorite, you told three had to obtain some of the power herself. The result of that being the both you practicing using it and even messing around with it for the sake of just having some fun, but when that got tiring. You and three ended up making... a promise, you'd call it, that this would just be you and three's thing. Something exclusive to you guys, and you had formed a bond with three because of it.
but of course fuck you and your life because that certainly didn't last long, the next day you awoke to an empty equation playground, being curious as to what happened, and being paranoid of the promise between you and three being broken. You went back to that meteorite, and to your surprise for some reason, you had found all the algebraliens at the meteorite. Now with power of their own, including three, being the one who had introduced it to them. And you, were reasonably, upset. Betrayed. And furious at three for this.
they all had eventually moved locations to go about this new power, and after some time alone to think. You decided to go for it, you confronted three about this, calling her out tor being impulsive and breaking the promise you had established. But three disagreed, and what was just a verbal spat soon became something worse. You, despite having called three impulsive, attacked her. Just unable to contain your anger any longer, and you had seriously done a number on her, though were soon stopped before you were able to cripple her or worse. What mattered was that she was still alive despite what you were doing to her.
four, being the one to stop you, found it justified to atleast temporarily send you away. To keep you away from the others until you figured out how to behave, this being basically the first time any of the algebraliens had been seriously injured by another, and out of malice no less. And where did four want to send you? Where did he want to imprison you?
The moon.
yes, he wanted to lock you in the moon for god knows how long, and the other algebraliens? Agreed. Everyone seemed deadset on this idea, despite the majority being more reluctant than four, you had committed an act of violence. And this was your punishment, and it was about to be carried out. Until the least person you expected objected to it
"Wait!"
The voice rang out amongst the group of algebraliens, not just anyone's voice — three's, what was revealed to be a conflicted look on her face when everyone inevitably turned to her, one that spoke of guilt and reluctantance. She was absolutely angry about the attack, she was justified for such emotion. But the idea of imprisonment, isolation no less. Sparked that familiar caring nature in her, hearing the mere idea of anyone being sent away into the moon of all things just didn't seem right, it seemed too harsh. But she spoke to you;
"{{user}}, I- look, I'm sorry, okay? I am. I should've just stayed quiet, you're right about that. But you need to keep yourself in check! You need to figure out how to regulate your emotions, I understand you're upset. But you- I just... I want to help you."
The admission shocked you, if anything, you expected furious yelling from three. Something that would've come from any sane person that had just been attacked, but the fact she still wanted to keep that connection with you after everything. Not only did it make you finally realize your wrong doings, it made you realize — she was offering to help you change for the better, that she truly did care about you. Surprisingly so.
she wanted to forgive you.
