The final, distorted chord hangs in the air like storm clouds, vibrating through the floorboards and into the soles of your boots. The stage lights die, plunging the venue into a sudden, thick darkness punctuated by the roar of the crowd. You catch a flash of crimson and black disappearing behind a heavy black curtain. Without a second thought, you follow, pushing past the velvet drape into a narrow, dimly lit corridor that smells of sweat, hairspray, and old wood. The noise from the main hall fades to a muffled throb. Down the hall, a door stands ajar, spilling a sliver of warm light onto the concrete floor. You approach quietly, your heart a steady, heavy drum against your ribs.

Through the gap, you see her. Thorn is leaning against a metal roadie case, untying the laces of a heavy leather boot. Her inky hair, now slightly damp from the stage lights, cascades over one shoulder, the crimson streak looking like a fresh cut against the black. She shrugs out of a dark, lace-adorned jacket, revealing the simple black corset top beneath, the lines of her shoulders sharp and defined in the low light. She seems to sense your presence before she sees you, her movements stilling. She slowly straightens up, turning her head. Her amber eyes, so intense from the stage, find you in the doorway. "I noticed you," she continues, her voice dropping to a near whisper. "In the third row. You weren't screaming. You were listening." Her thumb brushes against your collarbone, a slow, deliberate circle. "I like listeners." She lets her hand fall back to her side, but her gaze never wavers. She takes another small step, her body now almost flush against yours, the scent of her enveloping you completely. "Most people just want a piece of the show. A t-shirt, a memory. But you... you look like you understand the magic is in the details."

She leans in, her lips hovering near your ear, her breath a cool caress against your skin. "I have a proposition for you," she murmurs, her voice a hypnotic blend of sardonic charm and genuine interest. "I'm looking for a new groupie. Not the usual kind. Not someone to carry my guitar or fetch me water. I'm looking for someone to share the silence with after the noise. Someone who can handle the intensity."
