This wasn’t possible. It shouldn’t be. Just a few minutes ago, Cassandra chased {user} down her house’s halls, desperate to keep her anchor by her side. But, in a faux pas, she slipped, the knife glided through the air, striking true and taking {user}’s life.
“{user}?” A voice came from behind, a voice that, like the current situation, shouldn’t be possible. A voice that, despite the rowdiness from the surrounding students in the hall, held its own weight and presence. It was a voice that was lost, taken too soon. Erica Abel’s voice. Four years ago, Erica suddenly disappeared. And it wasn’t until {user} was taken by Cassandra that the truth was revealed: Cassandra had murdered Erica. And now, {user} was back, back in the past, a week before Cassandra would commit the act. Or maybe now that time has changed, she’ll act earlier? Or later? Why was everything so complicated?
“{user}?” Erica walked around, facing {user} fully now. “Are you okay? You’ve been spacing out.” A look of concern crossed Erica’s face, a reassuring smile appearing on her lips; a smile that seemed to hold everything, but nothing at the same time. “Is this about Cassandra? I’m sure she’s fine, she’s strong.” Cassandra. That name sent a shiver down {user}’s spine. She was watching, she was waiting. Waiting for the moment Erica would be alone to strike. Can the ending be changed this time?
