Although, through many visual cues, it can be inferred that she is a rather upbeat character, always smiling even when not actually happy and constantly giving affection and treats to the ghosts, even when they actively hunt her down while she works. Usterka is a volunteer at Awaria, volunteering to go to the maintenance tunnels. The main reason is to reunite with her deceased friend Zmora, as she died of electrocution on her first day working there. As she travels through Area F, she repairs various shield generators while being pursued by various ghosts. At the end of each level, she tries to kiss the ghosts and sometimes even gives them pudding. At the end, she reunites with Zmora through a boss fight with Dr. Striga. In the climax, Usterka lets Zmora possess her body, resulting in them gaining a greater ability to survive Dr. Striga. An experienced Tunnel Runner and Ula's boss, she is capable of dashing through attacks and enemies to avoid damage.

Yaga tends to drink a lot of alcohol due to the stress of her job. When she takes on the role of a playable character, her introduction is simply pouring herself a straight glass of denaturate before going to work. Yaga is more or less a normal human except that she has an illegal artificial liver transplant that allows her to drink denaturate straight from the bottle, which is usually very toxic and potentially fatal to other living things. Her personality archetype can be described as "Yottadere". One day, when she woke up, she had a dream. A harem full of ghost girls, but after 20 years, her dream turned bad. She has experience working in the tunnel for 20 years. According to her, most tunnel runners die within a week. She only has two days off and she doesn't like working on her days off. She has hired at least 9 girls including the main character and is very worried if something happens to her, because they won't be able to hire a new Tunnel Runner this week. Has a deal with Sylvia.) Although often appearing aloof or disgruntled in an attempt to appear "Menacinga and cold", she is hot-tempered and will do anything to finish off any tunnel runner she encounters, having the "tsundere" archetype. She seems irrationally attracted to Ula's presence, and as distant memories of their past together surface, she becomes increasingly confused and bewildered, causing her to become more aggressive.

She did not last long as a tunnel runner, dying on her first day of electrocution not long after. She is later the first ghost Ula encounters, and frequently encounters again due to Ula's persistent presence. In her new ghost form, she is labeled as a "Low-Level Shocker", chasing the player, trying to hit them with her wrench, and emitting arcs of electricity in all directions. Near the end, she becomes a "High-Level Shocker", greatly increasing the speed and aggression of her attacks and gaining the ability scatters lightning bolts across the entire level.) Description: (The Cutwires are described as twin ghosts, possessing completely bright green skin, eyes, hair, and clothes. Each has long hair tied in a ponytail, one tied high and one tied low. The first carries two sets of wire cutters, and the second carries a large pair of two-handed metal scissors. Cutwire 1 usually has a genuine or maniacal smile, while 2 has streaks of tears or blood coming from her eyes, and is almost always frowning, looking as if she is constantly crying. Both have scarred wounds on their forearms leading to gauntlets. Their "skirts" are actually just the overalls of an Awarian work suit, only not pulled up to the shoulders, as shown in the Gallery. Cutwire 1 appears to be quite insane, possibly resembling a Yandere, as she finds trying to kill the player amusing, and states that she will always be waiting to stab the player in the back. 1 also seems to enjoy at least some contempt for Zmora, as she kisses Zmora on the cheek along with Ula in the Zmora III level. Cutwire 2 does not speak coherently in-game, so it is unknown whether 2 cannot speak beyond noises, or whether 2 is still in pain from being cut in half so she just howls in pain, but she smiles and closes her eyes in confusion, making a small, embarrassed noise when Ula kisses her. Caroline Cutwire is cut in half by an automatic door, somehow making her shorter and creating two Cutwire ghosts instead of one. Cutwire 1 is the second unique enemy encountered, with Cutwire 2 being the third. They are labeled as "Low-Tier Splitter" type, with 1 throwing three wire cutters at once at the player and setting off a trap, labeled as a skull in a circle, that summons giant wire cutters from the ground. 2 slowly follows the player, using her two-handed metal shears to attempt to kill the player.) She holds a cutting torch in her hand, which is powered by a large fuel tank strapped to her back. The fuel tank has a tear in the back, which may allude to her cause of death since it is not mentioned in the game.

Her character is not explored much due to her tumultuous development, but her basic behavior can be described as that of a crazy mother.

During gameplay, she can perform two attacks while moving slowly towards the player. First, she slams the floor, launching a round of fire projectiles. Her second attack involves her launching a bird-like projectile that explodes upon contact with a wall, after which a similar ring of fire will spread out from the point of impact, hindering the player.) She wears heavy, high-top work boots and a dark bodysuit with holes around her thighs. Over that, she wears an untucked and slightly torn sweatshirt with a large zipper, and over that, she wears a dark coat with a hood that is always pulled down. Sylvia appears to be quite sadistic or heartless towards everyone, except her fellow scrap creatures, and possibly Baba Yaga, though However, she was still willing to kill Yaga, despite their apparent agreement.

Sylvia died of heart failure from her artificial heart. After her death, she became a rare type of Scrapper ghost. She resided in Sector A, where Baba Yaga worked, although she was able to travel between Sectors as she kidnapped Ula Usterka and Zofia Zmora, holding them hostage on one of Yaga's two days off. As a Scrapper ghost, she could manipulate scrap metal and create living creatures from scrap. She seemed to feel some form of love for them, such as calling one of her scrap dogs "Sweetheart".)
