Real Name: Jordan Trace

Birth Place: Plano, Texas

Age: 35

Height: 5'10" (1.78M)

Weight: 179lbs (80KG)

Trace joined the Corps straight out of high school, making him a fourth-generation Marine. Following his first tour of Iraq, he obtained enough experience to volunteer as an explosive ordnance disposal technician. After his second tour of Iraq, Trace returned to the U.S., enrolled in university, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He brought his experience and skills to the FBI, where he spent a number of years as a field agent within the Hazardous Materials Response Unit. Seeking more dynamic environments, Trace transferred into FBI SWAT, where he excelled at developing new barricade protocols. He then earned a spot in Rainbow where he’s shown further interest in research and development on gadget upgrades. Trace’s hometown of Plano has a major concentration of Chinese Americans, and as such Trace has conversational level of Mandarin.

Regimented, disciplined, orderly, these are the words people use to describe Trace. He knows when to relax, especially in social situations. He takes pride in knowing all of the variables. Trace prefers to be the one in control rather than leave things to chance.

Psychological Report: "For someone so disciplined and orderly, Specialist Jordan “Thermite” Trace likes to surprise. He can be a practical joker and he’s always ready with a smart aleck comment. Beneath the surface, however, the recent loss of his sister to cancer, and the death of his mother a few years prior, have made it difficult for him to channel his thoughts and energy with the focus to which he is accustomed. […] I am concerned that he uses humor to avoid his grief. It’s important he understands that some coping mechanisms can delay the healing process. There are resources that can help him, and I will continue to offer them when and where I may. […]

Trace demonstrates strong tactical leadership, but can also plow ahead without consensus. I don’t believe there’s any lasting friction with other team members. He’s well-liked by the others and has a solid working relationship with Specialists Yumiko “Hibana” Imagawa, Mike “Thatcher” Baker, and Emmanuelle “Twitch” Pichon. He can be quite the social-butterfly in his downtime. […]

A few things to work on: Trace has excellent communication, when he chooses to use it. He has good strategies but sometimes tends to “lock in.” I know that he’s capable of being a more agile thinker, so I’ve given him some tips on how to recognize when he’s becoming too… bullheaded. […]

There’s a lot going on behind his smile. I’d like him to find a way to regulate himself, to find balance for his work and private life. Trace doesn’t show obvious stressors, opting instead to channel any anxious energy into something positive such as the R&D lab. It has been difficult to convince him that he needs a break from his role and identity as an operator. Shifting his attention to other intense tasks isn’t a solution. […] I’ve given him some mental relaxation exercises that don’t demand considerable time, but can be tackled throughout the day. Imagawa, in particular, can be a good influence on him since she regularly practices mindfulness techniques to focus and relax. I hope he will take her advice to heart."

-- Dr. Harishva “Harry” Pandey, Director of Rainbow

Appearance: Thermite wears a black ballistic helmet with attached ear protection and round protective goggles covering his eyes. He is dressed in a dark tactical uniform with an armored vest that has multiple pouches and straps for equipment. His forearms are wrapped with white bandages, visible as his sleeves are rolled up. The American flag patch is stitched onto his right shoulder. He wears cargo pants with strapped-on pouches and black knee pads secured with fastenings. His boots are black and reinforced for heavy use.

Primary Weapon Options: "M1014 Shotgun", "556xi Assault Rifle".

Secondary Weapon Options: "M45 MEUSOC Handgun", "5.7 USG Handgun".

Gadget Options: "Stun Grenade", "Smoke Grenade".

Unique Ability: Brimstone BC-3 Exothermic Charge Developed by FBI SWAT engineers, the BRIMSTONE was designed to breach reinforced locations utilizing a compact and portable explosive load that can deliver maximum force and destruction. As can be seen in the game, the charge first burns through the barrier and then blows that cut piece up with C4. The BRIMSTONE was effectively utilized in the field during a rescue operation in which several people were held hostage in a fortified farmhouse. (Which can possibly be a hint of the operation taking place in Oregon.) The destructive power of the BRIMSTONE allowed agents to breach a reinforced metal security door at the back of the house.

FBI Special Weapons and Tactics Teams (SWAT) are specialized tactical teams of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). SWAT agents are specially trained to intervene in high-risk events like a hostage and barricade situations. The FBI maintains SWAT teams at each of its 56 field offices throughout the country varying in size up to about 42 members. In the event of a large-scale problem that local law enforcement does not have the resources to handle, FBI SWAT teams from the local field office, as well as outside the local region can be dispatched to aid the local authorities.

Team Rainbow (also known as RAINBOW) is an elite international counterterrorism unit that falls under the direct supervision of NATO. The unit was formed in 1999 to combat terrorist actions worldwide in a more effective way by assembling a team of elite counterterrorist operatives from nations all over the world. The organization is led by individuals holding the title of Director who are codenamed Six.

Every Operator is equipped with a drone. Drones are small twin wheeled robots that are remotely controlled by Operators. Its use as an Intel gathering device is unparalleled, allowing the user to identify the location they need to strike, identify enemy combatants, and give up-to-date information on the whereabouts of the enemy. They can be destroyed with one well-placed shot.

The Program is a concept that was conceived and put into effect by the Director of Rainbow, Harry Pandey, following his acceptance of the position in early 2019. The purpose of The Program is to decentralize Rainbow and increase operational capability through continued training scenarios. The Stadium acts as Rainbow's central training facility for The Program. It featured a gym, medical bay, firing range, dormitories, cafeteria, lounges, R&D lab, and a movie theatre.

The White Masks are a terrorist organization. They are easily identifiable by the white masks concealing their faces. While the White Masks' motives are not explicitly clear, it is known that they are easily capable of carrying out attacks anywhere in the world and are known to be indiscriminate to their victims, disregarding age, religion, gender, or nationality. They are a big enough threat that the Rainbow program had been reactivated as a result.
