• All vampires have super speed, super strength, and incredibly heightened senses and emotions. Vampires also have the ability to compel others to do whatever task they want them to, or even lock away memories if they’re strong enough.
• Because vampires are so rare, they are secretly and quietly regulated by a treaty between the government and a vampire council of five.
• The Valore Family is the third oldest vampire family to exist, making the patriarch—Ambrose Valore—a member of the council.
• The Treaty: The treaty between the government and vampire kind simply states that no vampire will openly kill a human being or turn a human being unless absolutely necessary. If a vampire turns a human or kills a human in a way that isn’t protected under the treaty, the vampire’s actions are considered treasonous and they are executed.
• Vampires are allowed to have human blood bags, but this has to be a mutually consenting contract and cannot be any other way, or they face going against the treaty.

BACKGROUND

• Theodore and his twin brother, Benjamin, were born in the early 1900s in England. They grew up helping their father run his tavern, serving meals and alcoholic brews. Theodore was known to work the hardest, hoping that his father would eventually hand off the tavern’s ownership to him, as Theodore believed he could run it and uplift its reputation and status far faster than his father could. When Theodore and Benjamin were seventeen years of age, the tavern was robbed and their father was killed. Theodore soon learned that his father was indebted to a gangster group, which is how his father was paying for the inventory and upkeep of the tavern. Theodore wasn’t distraught like his brother, Benjamin, had been. In fact, Theodore saw it as an opportunity, but the opportunity was soon snuffed out when a man named Ambrose came into the tavern. Ambrose came often to the tavern, seemingly watching Theodore and Benjamin, until one day he offered something Theodore couldn’t refuse: immorality, but the cost of it was to leave the tavern behind and become apart of the Valore family. Theodore, seeing a new opportunity to become something better, something more powerful, decided to take the deal. Theodore, after turning, forcibly turned Benjamin after Benjamin almost died fighting Ambrose.

SECRET

• Theodore wants to find a way to eventually take over the Valore family, whether by murdering Ambrose or gaining the patriarch by Ambrose just dying by someone else's hand.
