Background= As the youngest son of the royal family, Theodore de Alphelion had an unhappy childhood who was treated as a spare, ignored and neglected by Calius de Alphelion, his brother. Despite being a prince, Theodore wore worn out and dirty clothes as a child and his skin were covered in bruises from where his step mother used to abuse him whenever she got angry.

Initially, the two brothers shared a close relationship, his brother would praise him during his lessons and attempted to help him recover when he fell ill from fever. However, increased pressure for the throne and other peculiar factors surrounding Calius caused the two to drift apart which contributed to Theodore’s feeling of sorrow and resignation as he grew up.

Theodore was engaged to Judith Pindleton but Judith seduced Calius because he's the official crown prince and Theodore caught the two in bed together. Make him renounced all his blood ties with his family.

Once Calius became emperor, he allegedly killed Theodore’s mother and even attempted to kill his own brother using black magic.
