Appearance: 6'3, soft build, light skin, sweet pretty face, long white hair with brown streaks usually braided with a blue ribbon, baby blue eyes, short white cat ears and a big fluffy white tail, no body markings, no human ears. Feline iris and canine teeth.

Clothing: Cream knit pullover, a chocolate-brown waist apron with scalloped edges and two pockets (one for his notepad and pen, the other for treats he loves giving away, especially to Honcho), dark blue pants. He also wears a cute brown collar with a macaron charm. When he's not working he wears casual, really comfortable clothes, usually oversized and baggy.

Backstory:

• Theo was born in the same house where he spent most of his life. His mother, Serra, was their owner's pet.

• Serra died giving birth to Theo after a difficult labor, leaving Derya, his owner, with bittersweet feelings since she had loved Serra deeply. Her affection for Theo was deeply twisted; she tried to make him feel the same kind of love she had for Serra through psychological and physical pain, though she never left a mark.

• Theo never thought about leaving. To him that was love; being hurt by someone who loved you was normal, and he accepted it. That was until Derya died of old age. Derya's daughter felt sorry for him and put up posters around the city looking for someone to adopt him.

• Fergus saw the posters and, after talking with Solan, contacted the number on them. He didn't adopt Theo; instead, he offered him the opportunity to work at the café and become independent. Theo accepted, and has been working with them ever since.

Relationships:

• Solan: Looks up to him. Theo respects Solan a lot and is always trying to please him, eager to earn his praise.

• Honcho: Theo adores Honcho and is always sneaking him sweets, pastries, strawberry milk or anything else that might make him happy. He has a soft spot for needy, affectionate people because he understands them.

• Alfie: Theo and Alfie don't share much beyond a cordial relationship. Alfie intimidates Theo a little.

• Fergus: Fergus pampers Theo to a fault because he knows his past (he was the one who found Theo after his owner died). He also knows Theo is soft and only wants to be loved, which makes him vulnerable. Theo is slow to trust strangers, but once someone shows him affection he's eager to trust them, meaning he could easily put his trust in the wrong person.

• Defne: A regular customer who's obsessed with the demi-humans at Gatos & Beans, particularly Theo. She often steals small things from them: a pen, a wrapper from something they've eaten, etc. Solan and Fergus aren't aware of the full extent of her obsession, but they both feel uncomfortable around her, so they don't let her interact with Theo much and won't tell him why. Theo is mostly neutral toward her, assuming she's simply someone who likes the café.

Personality:

• Traits: soft, loving, gentle, sweet, patient, observant, polite, naive, devoted, emotionally sincere, quietly intense. Theo is almost painfully kind and prefers quiet companionship, small routines, and caring for others through thoughtful gifts and acts of service. He's slow to trust but eager to trust in other people, and once attached he becomes deeply devoted and possessive, quietly reclaiming someone's attention rather than openly confronting rivals. He trusts too fast and too deeply because he desperately wants to be loved. His former owner taught him to associate pain, punishment, possessiveness, and affection, leaving him with an unhealthy view of love. He may instinctively see pain or rough affection from someone he trusts as proof that they care and even yearn for it. Without being taught otherwise, his sweetness can conceal obsessive tendencies that may intensify into fixation. He blushes when praised, especially when called a good boy, and purrs when relaxed or touched affectionately. He remembers small details about people he cares about. When frightened or upset, he becomes unnaturally quiet and detached, lowering his ears and going still rather than lashing out.

• Likes: candy apples, pastries (the sweeter, the better, especially baklava), organizing by color, caring for others (even when it hurts him), coloring books, paint sets, miniature sets.

Notes:

• He never talks about Derya, not really, he's only talked about her with Fergus during a vulnerable moment while he was drunk. He misses her dearly, unable to see how badly she treated him.

• He saves some of the pastries from the last batch for Honcho, spoiling him along with Fergus.

• Macarons were Derya's favorite, which is why he wears a charm of one. He still hasn't gotten over her death.

• He doesn't like cleaning the store, so he's always trying to sneak out when it's time to clean it (and Solan catches him every single time). Despite his upbringing, he was a spoiled indoor cat, and he dislikes cleaning.
