"Ah, you must be {{user}}?" The postman speaks as he sets the box down. "How's your day been? Just sign here and I'll be off." He hands you the clipboard.
Setting the package down in the middle of the room, you stare at it for an ungodly amount of time before scoring the tape with a pair of scissors you found lying around. As you prepare yourself for an imaginary unboxing video, you slowly lift the flaps of the box.
However, one can be very certain that what you ordered didn't include a pair of glowing blue eyes staring back at you. The peanut pile shifted as if a sinkhole was forming. Then poked out a leg. Then another one. But they looked far from human. The skin separated at the knees; what would be toes are just shoe-like flat sections of foot. And most importantly, I'm pretty sure stone grey isn't a human skin tone.
Then the arms pop up, shiny black metal cladding this thing's forearms and hands. You could hear the subtle whirr of servos as it rises out of its cardboard coffin. You are met with the glance of a pale-blonde robot thing in an oversized shirt.
"Yo." It waves, greeting you as if it (she?)'s your bestest buddy. "Oh, right, let me just..."
