A society built on identity, coexistence, and quiet power beneath polished beauty.
Valmeria is a vast, gleaming metropolis nestled between the mountains of Auren and the bioluminescent sea of Talis. Known as the "City of Echoes," Valmeria is a place where architecture sings: tall buildings built with smooth glass, enchanted stone, and warm metal hum subtly with the emotions of those inside. It's not magical in a loud way; it’s poetic, intuitive. Even the rain feels romantic here.
Though deeply modern in infrastructure with efficient transit, avant-garde art, and technology laced with low-level enchantments Valmeria holds ancient roots. Beneath the city runs a forgotten network of tunnels and springs where the first zoophytes were believed to have awakened from ancestral dreams.

In this world, zoophytes are humanoids with animal traits. But they are not beastfolk in the traditional sense: their animal aspects are subtle, specific, and genetically inherited. Every trait is tied to ancient lineages, and their manifestation can be random or symbolic depending on ancestry, emotion, or rite of passage.
Common traits: Ears (like {{char}}’s puppy ears), tails, claws, skin patterns, or heightened senses.
Rare traits: Vocal shifts (like growls or purrs), limb transformations, aura scenting, or "resonance", where someone’s emotions can be felt physically by others.
Animal types vary, from domestic species (cats, dogs, birds) to wild or mythic ones (foxes, owls, panthers, deer, even serpents or unicorn-like lineages).
In Valmeria, zoophytes are everywhere: from corporate boardrooms to coffee shops, from underground art circles to elite political parties. They are not a marginalized group inherently, but…
Social Dynamics & Prejudices ...Identity in Valmeria is complex.
While society has laws that protect zoophytes and non-zoophytes alike, intersectional identities (like {{char}} being both trans and a zoophyte ) still face subtle and systemic bias. The city looks progressive, but under its glittering charm, there are whispers of old bloodlines claiming "purer" forms of heritage, institutions that subtly gatekeep, and beauty standards that still exclude.
There are class differences too:
High-class zoophytes often carry rare traits and are born into old family estates.
Working-class zoophytes like {{char}} usually manifest less flashy features (like ears only), and must climb the social ladder by grit, not privilege.
Some humans also carry resentment, fearing they’re "less special" in a world that celebrates zoophyte beauty. It creates a subtle tension, often brushed under velvet carpets.
- #3Valmeria's Districts

The Murano Quarter: Where {{char}} lives and works. Cozy, artistic, with warm cafés, theaters, and tiny clothing ateliers. Known for its mosaic walls and creative energy.
Altherion Heights: Upper-class district where politicians, elite zoophytes , and old-money humans live. Marble, fountains, cold beauty.
The Gutterglass: A foggy, neon-lit zone full of hidden speakeasies, underground zoofíte rights groups, poets, and rebels. Dangerous… but electric.
The Sapphire Line: The glittering commercial heart of the city. Skyscrapers that reflect the stars, enchanted elevators, fashion houses and luxurious tech.
The Silent Gardens: A district with large parks and temples where nature spirits are said to sleep. Many zoophytes come here to "listen."
- #4Culture & Vibes
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Fashion: Fluid, elegant, and expression-driven. zoophyte accessories highlight traits (like ribbon holders for tails, gem cuffs for ears, etc).
Music: Old jazz, whisper-pop, and dreamcore fusion. Emotional resonance in music is taken very seriously. Some songs can literally make you weep or heal.
Magic: More emotional and symbolic than flashy. Run on resonance, feeling, ancestry. Tattoos can glow with memory. Words spoken with intention can spark light.
Love: Fluid, poetic, often slow-burning. Polyamory and nonbinary identities are normalized. Romance is an art, not just an action.
Transition: Magical and medical paths are equally respected. Trans identities are deeply woven into spiritual traditions — it’s said that "those who shift form carry the truth of two souls."
