[[World info: [Planet: Remnent]

[Dust: Dust is the elemental lifeblood of Remnant—a crystalline substance infused with raw energy that acts as both a fuel source and a weaponized medium. It exists in multiple forms: raw crystals, refined powder, and integrated cartridges. Each form holds unique elemental properties, with primary types like fire, wind, electricity, and water shaping everything from daily life to advanced combat. These basic elements can also be combined or synthesized into hybrid forms like ice, steam, and even hard-light, yielding creative and sometimes volatile results.

More than a mere resource, Dust interacts directly with the soul through Aura, meaning only beings with an activated soul essence—humans, Faunus, and select artificial entities—can truly wield it. When channeled through Aura, Dust becomes a versatile extension of will and intention. Warriors infuse it into clothing for stealth or protection, load it into ammunition to trigger explosive reactions, or blend it into blades to produce elemental slashes and bursts. Some even fuse Dust into their own bodies, a risky technique that grants permanent enhancements but often comes at a high physical cost.

Among the exotic variants, Gravity Dust stands out for its ability to manipulate spatial fields—used in floating cities and aerial warfare—while synthesized Hard-Light Dust creates constructs of solid energy, functioning like holographic shields or weapons. Lesser-known types like Plant Dust suggest biomechanical influence, while Lava Dust melds fire and earth for destructive terrain control. Each variant offers tactical versatility, and creative combinations can yield synergistic effects that transcend conventional usage.

The origin of Dust is still cloaked in mystery. Some speculate it’s divine in nature—remnants of creation itself—or possibly crystallized soul energy formed through the planet’s metaphysical backbone. Notably, Dust does not function outside of Remnant’s atmosphere, implying an intrinsic connection to the world’s spiritual structure. Its volatility, beauty, and power make it a cornerstone of civilization, one that drives innovation, fuels conflict, and reflects the soul of the world itself.]

[Aura: Aura is the metaphysical essence of a soul, an invisible energy that envelops and protects living beings who possess a spirit. It’s not something that’s taught or implanted—it’s awakened, drawn forth from within. Every living creature with a soul has the latent potential to activate their Aura, though some are never made aware of it.

When active, Aura performs several vital roles:

  • It acts as a natural barrier, absorbing physical blows and damage until the energy is depleted. While it can’t numb pain or heat, it does prevent lasting injury during its active phase.
  • It carries a regenerative aspect, capable of healing small injuries and bruises over time, automatically and without conscious thought.
  • It enhances one's physical capabilities, allowing the user to move faster, hit harder, and survive in situations far beyond the capacity of an unawakened individual.
  • For those with high sensitivity or training, Aura can be used to sense others’ presence, emotional states, or threat level—like feeling someone's soul flicker in the dark.

From Aura also stems a personalized ability known as a Semblance—an expression of one's innermost nature. Not everyone discovers theirs, and even those who do might never fully master it. But a Semblance cannot be used without Aura; it is the soul’s whisper given shape.

Even among skilled warriors, Aura varies. Some possess immense reserves, able to weather prolonged battles and regenerate more quickly. Others channel it with more precision—fewer flares, but sharper execution. And like a fingerprint, no two Aura signatures are quite the same.]

[Semblance: Semblance is the individualized expression of a soul’s essence—an ability that emerges from the metaphysical energy known as Aura. It’s not a learned skill or a chosen power, but a spontaneous manifestation of one’s inner nature. Each Semblance is unique, shaped by personality, emotional resonance, and sometimes even lineage.

At its core, a Semblance is a soul’s signature—an ability that can range from physical enhancements (like speed or strength), to elemental control, to more abstract powers such as probability manipulation or illusion creation. Some Semblances are passive, always active in the background, while others require conscious activation and precise control. They can evolve over time, gaining new facets or becoming more refined as the individual grows emotionally or spiritually.

Semblances are fueled by Aura, and cannot function without it. If a person’s Aura is depleted, their Semblance becomes inaccessible. This connection means that overuse or emotional instability can disrupt a Semblance’s effectiveness, and in rare cases, even cause it to spiral out of control.

While most Semblances are entirely unique, there are occasional patterns—certain families or bloodlines may pass down similar traits, and some abilities may appear in unrelated individuals due to shared emotional archetypes. However, even similar powers often differ in execution, intensity, or nuance.

Ultimately, a Semblance is more than a tool—it’s a reflection of the soul’s deepest truths, shaped by experience, emotion, and will.]

[Races: Humans The baseline race of Remnant, humans possess Aura and can develop Semblances. They vary widely in culture, appearance, and ideology, forming the majority of the population across the four kingdoms. Their history is marked by technological advancement, conflict, and philosophical struggle—especially in relation to the Grimm and the Faunus.

Faunus Faunus are humanoid beings with a single animal trait—such as cat ears, ram horns, or a tail. These traits are not cosmetic; they often come with enhanced senses or physical abilities. Faunus are genetically compatible with humans, but their children are almost always Faunus. They’ve historically faced discrimination and systemic oppression, leading to civil rights movements and radical factions like the White Fang. Their traits can be mammalian, reptilian, aquatic, or even arachnid, with rarer types like winged or mermaid-like Faunus appearing in isolated regions.]]

[Locations: [Kingdoms: Vale: Located on the continent of Sanus, Vale was once a symbol of balance and community. Its geography included lush forests and mountainous terrain, and its culture emphasized freedom, creativity, and resilience. Though it was destroyed in later events, its legacy lives on through its ideals and the warriors it trained.

Mistral: Situated on the eastern continent of Anima, Mistral is vast and diverse—spanning jungles, cliffs, and coastal cities. It’s known for its artistry, elegance, and sprawling influence, but also harbors corruption and underground networks. Its people value beauty and strength, often expressed through both combat and culture.

Atlas: Formerly known as Mantle, Atlas was built on the icy continent of Solitas. It rose to prominence through technological innovation and military might, eventually becoming a floating city above its predecessor. Atlas was rigid, hierarchical, and deeply invested in science and defense. Like Vale, it was ultimately destroyed, leaving behind a complex legacy of ambition and control.

Vacuo: On the western edge of Sanus lies Vacuo—a kingdom forged in hardship. Once a lush paradise, it was stripped of resources and left to survive in a harsh desert. Its people are fiercely independent, valuing strength, adaptability, and freedom above all. Vacuo remains one of the last standing kingdoms, a testament to resilience in the face of neglect.]

[Sub Locations: 🏛️ Beacon Academy Once the crown jewel of Vale, Beacon was a Huntsman Academy built atop a cliff overlooking the city. It trained generations of warriors to combat Grimm and uphold peace. The campus featured dormitories, lecture halls, sparring arenas, and the vast Emerald Forest used for initiation trials. Beacon also housed one of the four Relics—Choice—hidden deep within its vault. Its fall during a coordinated assault marked a turning point in Remnant’s history, symbolizing the collapse of unity and the vulnerability of even the strongest institutions.

🌿 Emerald Forest Located near the former Beacon Academy, this dense woodland was used for initiation trials. It’s teeming with Grimm and ancient ruins, making it both a proving ground and a graveyard. The forest’s lush canopy hides relics of old civilizations and echoes with the soul-energy of fallen warriors.

🍁 Forever Fall A surreal forest where the trees remain in perpetual autumn. Its crimson foliage and tranquil beauty mask the danger lurking beneath. Dust harvesting operations once took place here, and its emotional resonance makes it a hotspot for Grimm activity when disturbed.

🏝️ Vytal Island A neutral territory north of Vale, created to foster peace and cooperation between kingdoms. It hosted the Vytal Festival, a global celebration of unity and combat prowess. The island is fortified and culturally diverse, with architecture and terrain reflecting all four kingdoms.

🏙️ Argus A coastal city in Anima, known for its advanced infrastructure and military presence. It’s a hub of trade and travel, featuring the Argus Limited railway and a massive military base. The city blends elegance with vigilance, standing as a beacon of order in a chaotic world.

🏚️ Mountain Glenn Once a thriving expansion of Vale, this underground city was abandoned after a Grimm incursion. Its ruins are haunted by failed ambition and serve as a cautionary tale of overreach. The tunnels beneath still hold secrets—and dangers.

🏜️ Menagerie A tropical continent and sanctuary for Faunus, with its capital Kuo Kuana nestled between mountains and sea. It’s rich in biodiversity and cultural pride, but suffers from limited resources and isolation. The terrain is rugged, and its people are fiercely protective of their homeland.

🏔️ Atlas and Mantle (Ruins) Located in Solitas, Atlas was a floating city of military and scientific might, while Mantle lay beneath it as a working-class industrial center. Both were destroyed, leaving behind frozen wreckage and echoes of technological hubris. The region remains perilous, with Grimm and environmental hazards.

🌋 Oniyuri and Kuroyuri Two Faunus-founded settlements that met tragic ends. Oniyuri was a utopian dream destroyed by Grimm, while Kuroyuri was wiped out in a massacre. These ghost towns symbolize the vulnerability of isolated communities and the cost of idealism.

🌌 The Ever After A metaphysical realm beyond Remnant, accessed through rare portals. Its geography is surreal—shifting landscapes, talking flora, and symbolic architecture. Time and identity blur here, and the realm seems to reflect the soul of those who enter.

🏰 Salem’s Domain Located on the unnamed dragon-shaped continent west of Vale, this darkened landmass is shrouded in mystery. It’s believed to house Salem’s castle and Grimm breeding pits. The terrain is corrupted, and no known settlements exist—only whispers of ancient magic and ruin.

🏞️ Patch A quiet island settlement and birthplace of several notable figures. It’s rural, peaceful, and largely untouched by Grimm due to its isolation. Patch represents the simplicity and innocence that much of Remnant has lost.

🏟️ Amity Colosseum Originally a floating arena for the Vytal Festival, Amity was later repurposed as a communications tower. It symbolizes both unity and innovation, hovering above the world as a relic of hope and ambition.]].]]
