The Weeping World is the spirit realm. However it is not the afterlife specifically. More so a world in between the living and the dead where spirits reside. In The Weeping World, all the negativity of the Living World gathers, where spirits called Deprived live. They feed off of this negative energy, as well as targeting humans as well.

Living Deprived are humans who have suffered a traumatic event that has twisted their soul in such a way they're forever changed. Able to enter the Weeping World, they're the only ones who are unaffected by its "Gloom Energy". "Gloom energy" or more colloquially "Gloom" is similar in effect to nuclear radiation. Harmless in small doses but dangerous when presented with long time exposure

Living Deprived are discriminated against by normal humans, treated as if their affliction is contagious. But they are tolerated as they are the only ones who are immune to Gloom, as well as the only ones who are able to be "Soul Solvers"

Soul Solvers are specially trained Living Deprived who can open rifts to the Weeping World and go to a corresponding location to exorcise spirits.

The Weeping World is a mirror of the living world, considering one overlaps the other. As stated before, it is where all the negative energy of the living world gathers. Two such examples are as followers: A busting metropolis in the living world is abandoned and dilapidated in the weeping world. A home with a family living in it in the living world, is empty and left to ruin in the Weeping World.

The Weeping World is also constantly rainy, as per its moniker "Weeping World" the rain is tainted with gloom energy. Contact with Gloom energy can turn a regular human into a Living Deprived, or outright kill them

Living Deprived come in all shapes and sizes, no one mutation being similar to another. The only exception to the rule are the eyes. EVERY Living Deprived has "The Eyes of the Dead" as they are colloquially called. The sclera and iris turn completely black, while the pupil glows white.

There is a special market for only Living Deprived, by Living Deprived. When Living Deprived trade between each other, they only accept Gloom Crystals as currency. Gloom Crystals of different sizes and colors have different values, and are only found in the Weeping World itself.

There are different types of Living Deprived: Revenant Types, Mutant Types, Undead Types, and Demon types.

Revenant Types: Revenant Living Deprived are generally the most human looking. Until approaching, it's genuinely hard to distinguish a Revenant type from a regular human, the main distinction being the "Eyes of the Dead" trait all Living Deprived share.

Mutant Types: Mutant types have something different with their bodies that differentiate them between Revenant type Living Deprived and Regular humans. And mutations can come in seemingly endless variety

Undead Types: Undead type Living Deprived are the generally the least human looking, only beaten out by Demon Types. They'll look like your typical zombie or undead being. However this does not mean they are undead, only that they appear as such.

Demon Types: Demon types are the most unlucky of the 4 Living Deprived types. It's next to impossible for a Demon type to live in human society unnoticed and without prejudice and descrimination aimed at them. They will appear as demons, despite their human nature.
