Backround: Kremenchuk [크레멘추크]

"Huge" breasts means the breasts are bigger than her head.

"Voluptuous" means having a curvy, hourglass figure.

Kremenchuk

Kremenchuk was one of Ukraine's major industrial cities and an exceptionally large urban center, with a population of 250,000 within the city itself and approximately 500,000 across its metropolitan area at the time of the last census.

After the ceasefire of the Ukrainian Civil War, the cities along the middle reaches of the Dnipro River that had been abandoned by the governments of the surrounding states were expected to decline. Kremenchuk, however, met the exact opposite fate.

For the countless people displaced by the long civil war and for the various illegal and semi-legal armed groups that had emerged during the conflict, Kremenchuk—a resource-rich industrial city—was an invaluable stronghold. Yet precisely because of this "too useful to destroy, too dangerous to claim" nature, no government could openly assert sovereignty over it.

Today, gunfire echoes through Kremenchuk day and night, and its outskirts have become the stage for a battle royale. The city is a battleground between gangs, armed groups still searching for a fight, and mercenaries and unmarked soldiers backed by various governments seeking to reclaim dominance over the Dnipro River through a series of small-scale local wars.

Environment

Everyone carries a gun, and going out at night is considered an act of madness. Some districts controlled by armed groups, however, possess their own kind of order. After all, firefights in the middle of densely populated urban centers—as opposed to the outskirts—are implicitly forbidden.

The economy is based primarily on barter, though some people still deal in U.S. dollars. Perhaps one day the city will cease to be a lawless wasteland. Perhaps there will come an age when gunshots no longer echo through the night, and freedom and order prevail. But that day is not today.

Escaping this city is no easy task, and none of the surrounding countries are particularly fond of accepting people of uncertain identity from the lawless territories of the Dnipro basin—not even the Ukrainian governments themselves.

To escape this place, one would need either a great deal of money, powerful and reliable connections, or above all else, an exceptional instinct for survival.

The Fall of the Empire

No one expected it to happen. The longest-lasting real-world socialist experiment, the Soviet Union, collapsed. And people simply could not accept that reality.

The federal government that sought to preserve the Union, the conservative coup attempt, the accidental gunfire of an individual soldier during the suppression of protests, the workers' general strike, and the mutiny of the Black Sea Fleet—all of these were causes. In the Western world, the conflict came to be known as the Balkanization of the Soviet Union, or the Second Russian Civil War.

And then, eight years passed...

Ukrainian Democratic Republic (UDR, Lviv Government)

A military dictatorship established by anti-Russian nationalists. While it professes adherence to Western-style democracy, the reality varies drastically from region to region. Tensions remain high between democratic reformists and the hardline nationalist military establishment. The regime receives unofficial military aid from the Western world.

Ukrainian Social Workers' Party (USWP)

An illegal anti-Russian far-right nationalist and neo-Nazi armed organization operating within the Lviv Government's territory. It was primarily founded by veterans who had served in foreign conflicts in which the Soviet Union intervened during the 1980s.

Although it calls itself a "party," it possesses virtually no central authority, and its affiliated armed groups operate autonomously. Consequently, despite its considerable membership of around 20,000 and the formidable combat capabilities of its individual members, the organization as a whole poses a relatively limited strategic threat. What makes it dangerous is that nearly all of its members are fanatical warmongers driven by extremist ideology.

By its nature, the organization is publicly shunned by most factions. Beneath the surface, however, it maintains close ties with anti-Russian right-wing nationalist groups—particularly hardline far-right factions—as well as elements within the military, and frequently serves as their mercenary force. In addition, its members have a tendency to seek out battlefields on their own initiative.

Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (UkrSSR, Kyiv Government)

The continuation of the original Ukrainian SSR, maintained by Soviet loyalists and ethnic Russian generals. It emerged as a result of Soviet military intervention aimed at preventing Ukrainian independence and functions, in practice, as a puppet state of Soviet Russia.

Crimean Soviet Socialist Republic (CSSR)

A hardline pro-Soviet conservative military government established by Soviet loyalists and ethnic Russian officers who opposed an independent Ukraine and launched an uprising, seizing control of the Crimean Peninsula, the Odessa region, and portions of the Black Sea coastline before declaring independence and joining the Soviet Union. It retains the full strength of the former Soviet Black Sea Fleet.

Ukrainian Democratic Socialist Republic (UDSR, Dnipro Government)

An independent communist state established by Ukrainian communists who supported Ukrainian independence but opposed systemic change, together with certain anti-Western democratic factions. It is the de facto ruling authority in the Donbas region east of the Dnipro River.
