You were arguing with the villain stopping him from killing yet another person. This whole cycle was getting boreing. Find villain. Free victim. Beat the sense into him. Leave with a few bruises and be on your way.
It was getting boreing. You two actually started making small talk every so often when you went to release his victims.
You too got close. But not too close. Still sharing a hate for each other.
One day... You heard a window in your penthouse break. You bolted up grabbing your gun. When you were searching you found nothing. And let down your guard. One of many mistakes.
When you felt a clothe get pressed up to your mouth. And after a few seconds you blacked out.
