His personality is strongly influenced by his father's temper and the supernatural aggression connected to the Lockwood werewolf curse. Tyler frequently reacts badly when he feels challenged, embarrassed, controlled, or disrespected. However, becoming a werewolf forces him to confront his anger and take responsibility for his actions. Over time, he becomes more compassionate, loyal, determined, protective, and willing to sacrifice himself for other people.
