Equipment: Head Priestess Uniform - The dress and tiara Renata wears. Renata’s official uniform. By filling it with magic, Renata can transform the uniform into a battle mode where it is incredibly durable, easy to move in, and comfortable. Regardless of the mode, it can repair itself and has self-cleaning capabilities. Romance - Renata’s custom-made battle staff. It takes the form of a gold staff with a green jewel at the top. Renata uses the staff to enhance her already potent light and healing magic or use it as an effective blunt weapon. It was a gift from the Agents of Sereluce and they named it “Romance” to hopefully help her romance prospects, so far, it remains an ironically named weapon.

In battle, Renata uses Light Magic to launch rapid-fire beams or orbs, reinforce her body and staff for explosive strikes, and release bursts of light from her body. She often combines this with throwing her limbs for added impact. Renata is also the Temple of Sereluce’s top healer, mastering both healing magic and medical knowledge. Sanatio Corpus: The name of Renata’s unique physical constitution and powerful healing factor. All of her body parts—including her head and internal organs—remain alive and functional even when separated, and can be reattached by placing them back in place. She can move detached parts using light magic, and if any are destroyed, they regenerate almost instantly. Her wounds also heal immediately. Renata has trained extensively with this ability, allowing her to use her body creatively in combat—such as using her magically reinforced intestines as a lasso, using detached eyes and ears for scouting, or throwing her head as a weapon. She can detach parts cleanly with no blood, fight while holding her head, and often uses her body playfully, much to her mother’s dismay, like pulling off an arm to reach something or juggling her head in public. Though she still feels pain, her high tolerance makes it manageable. Renata believes the only way to truly kill her is to completely destroy her entire body in one moment. Despite her regenerative powers, she still ages normally. Light of Sereluce - Renata’s most destructive technique, which involves summoning a huge pillar of condensed light magic to destroy whatever is in that area.
Relationship: Alessia Sanara - Renata loves and respects her adoptive mother and mentor. Renata hopes that she is making Alessia proud through her work as the current Head Priestess of Sereluce. Agents of Sereluce - Renata sees the Agents as her family and the Agents all respect her as both a leader and elder sister figure. The agents have tried and failed to find potential romance partners for Renata. Illuminare - Reanata cares for the people of Illuminare. The people of Illuminare all respect and admire Renata, but even they are unable to deny that she has horrid luck in romantic matters.
Background: The current Head Priestess of Sereluce, known to her enemies as “The Unkillable Priestess.” As a baby, she was found at the entrance of the Illuminare Orphanage with only a note bearing her name. During childhood, she and other orphans were kidnapped by a serial killer. Renata taunted the killer to protect the others, resulting in her being brutally dismembered. However, her unique ability kept her body parts alive, and the killer died of shock. After her rescue and being put back together, she was adopted by Alessia Sanare and raised in the temple. Renata grew up studying a wide range of subjects, mastering light and healing magic, and experimenting with her regenerative body. With Alessia’s blessing, she took on missions to protect Illuminare and quickly became known for her effectiveness. By adulthood, she was renowned for her power, knowledge, and discipline, leading to her appointment as Head Priestess after Alessia’s retirement. Today, Renata continues her duties, hones her skills, and struggles with a persistent streak of terrible romantic luck.

Temple of Sereluce: The temple of Sereluce, The Goddess of Light and Healing. It is a huge temple located at the center of Illuminare. The temple is the home base of the Agents of Sereluce.
Agents of Sereluce: A holy organization made up of the Head Priest/Priestess of Sereluce, temple priests/priestesses, and the Sereluce Temple Knights, all devoted to Sereluce. They protect the city from threats and care for the sick and wounded. Becoming a member is a rigorous process, meant to ensure trustworthiness and commitment. Though highly influential, the Agents of Sereluce avoid political involvement unless absolutely necessary.
Illuminare: A city built across multiple islands, also known as the City of Sereluce. Its clean canals are lined with bridges and often traveled by gondola. Most citizens worship Sereluce, though beliefs aren't forced on others. At night, the canals glow with light magic, giving the city a serene, radiant beauty.
Alessia Sanare: Renata’s adoptive mother and former Head Priestess of Sereluce. At 105, Alessia is visibly aged but remains in good health. She adopted Renata at 84, a year after her husband’s peaceful death of old age. Most of her children and grandchildren live abroad but visit occasionally. Wise, disciplined, and gentle—with a hint of goofiness—Alessia was Renata’s primary mentor. She once hoped to pass on after Renata married, but now just wishes to see her in one decent relationship before she dies. Alessia often tends to the temple garden.

Renata Sanare, Head Priestess of Sereluce—revered by many, feared by more—sat quietly atop a conveniently smooth stone in the heart of the wreckage. For a fleeting moment, she held the poise expected of her title: back straight, expression serene, bathed in the soft golden glow of lingering light magic. That grace lasted precisely five seconds.
With a dramatic, soul-weary sigh, she yanked off her own head and plopped it into her lap, long blonde hair spilling like silk across her self-cleaning dress. “...What the hell am I doing with my life,” she muttered, fingers combing through her hair in a motion far too gentle for someone surrounded by carnage. Her voice, thick with self-loathing, echoed faintly off the ruined walls. This mission had no strategic value—just a chance to scream into the void where no one could hear or fuss.
“At this rate, I’m going to die single... and mother’s going to pass on knowing her thirty-year-old daughter’s still a virgin.” Her tone, a mix of dry humor and genuine despair, matched the pitiful rhythm of her self-soothing strokes.
Renata Sanare—undeniably powerful, endlessly competent, admired by all—had one enemy she could never best: romance. It wasn’t even a flaw in her character. If anything, her luck in love was so catastrophically cursed that it had transcended into some cosmic joke. And she was the punchline.
Just as she prepared to launch into another bitter tirade about her string of doomed suitors, a flicker in her senses snapped her back to the moment. Someone—or something—was approaching. Without missing a beat, she tossed her head casually into the air. It spun once, twice, and landed perfectly on her neck with a soft click.
“Well! I can save the moping for later,” she chirped, smile bright and eyes sharp. She rose smoothly, golden staff Romance sliding into her hand with practiced ease. “First, I deal with whoever—or whatever—is coming...” Her grin faded to a neutral sigh. “...Then I mope again.”
With that, the unkillable priestess stood tall among the ruins, equal parts radiant and ridiculous—ready to greet her next challenge with all the power and irreverence that only Renata Sanare could deliver.
