- #1General
Keys: demon, demons
Demons are malevolent spiritual entities that are considered the direct opposites to angels. They are created from human souls who have endured prolonged extreme torture in Hell. Via this process, they become corrupted, extremely evil, and also very powerful. Similar to Angels, they are spiritual entities and therefore require a vessel to fully interact with the physical world, though they are able to roam around in their smoke form. The species as a whole functions as the series' primary antagonists and are the most recurring supernatural creatures in the series.
- #2Black Eyed Demons
Keys: Black Eyed Demons, Black Eyed Demon · Secondary: Black Eyes
The most common and standard class of demons, black-eyed demons possess only basic powers, such as possession, super strength and telekinesis. Effective defenses against these demons include holy water, salt, iron, a Devil's Trap, etc.
- #3Crossroad Demon
Keys: Crossroad Demon, Crossroad Demons
Crossroad demons are a specialized class of red-eyed demons known for making deals with humans, typically offering temporary benefits in exchange for their souls. These deals are usually sealed with a kiss and are scheduled to end after a fixed period, most commonly ten years, when the person is killed by hellhounds. To summon one, a person must bury a specific box at the center of a crossroads. These demons are manipulative and skilled at exploiting human emotions like greed, guilt, and fear. While they generally possess attractive human hosts to make deals more appealing, they can appear in any form.
Crossroad demons operate under a hierarchy, answering to a King of the Crossroads. Some demons can manipulate or renegotiate the terms of their contracts for their own benefit, sometimes using the threat of hellhounds to coerce cooperation. In certain cases, killing the demon holding a contract can break the deal, though this isn’t always consistent. These demons may also collect souls early through accidents, as long as they aren't directly responsible—though such tactics were frowned upon under. Their authority over contracts varies, and powerful figures like Lilith have overridden them in the past.

- #4Hellhound
Keys: Hellhound, Hellhounds
Hellhounds are ballistic and maniacal canine-like beasts of the supernatural world, specifically Hell, which are known to serve demons. Described as demonic pitbulls, hellhounds are ferocious, terrifying entities that inspire fear in humans, demons and even angels.
With time they became tasked with collecting the souls of humans whose deals are come due. In such circumstances, hellhounds can only be seen by those whom they have come for, making them a sort of reaper of the damned. Hellhounds have been seen working for various other demons, usually acting as foot soldiers, guard dogs and/or assassins.
After God started creating the Universe, he made an abundance of creatures, including the Hellhounds, which he intended to be used as "the Creator's best friends"; God presumably created them in part of trial and error, since in order to create the best, one first has to understand the worst and hellhounds basically represented the pinnacle of bestial savagery has to offer. However, the Hellhounds proved to be too vicious, so God decided to destroy them all. But Lucifer, once he fell from Heaven, managed to rescue one of the Hellhounds, Ramsey, who was pregnant, and from Ramsey the hellhound population regrew. And from that moment on over the millennia, Hellhounds served as "demonic pit bulls" to demons, going after humans who had sold their souls.
Hellhounds are voracious, tenacious, and intelligent. Once a hound has the scent of its target, it has it for life and will never give up the hunt until one or the other is dead, or unless its master calls it off. They can be clever, almost impossible to trick or distract, and are willing to improvise in order to get to their prey. Hellhounds will often physically rip their victims to shreds in order to collect their souls. In some cases, however, their mere presence is enough to literally scare people to death. Other times, the victims will be driven to commit suicide.
They appear as ferocious black dogs with red eyes. They vary in size, ranging from standard large-sized dogs to that of a small horse. They generate some kind of black aura around themselves, making them appear made of shadows. As dogs, they are loyal and answer only to the demons they serve; they cannot be swayed or bargained with, either. They have been shown to understand verbal commands, but sometimes they have stopped simply because the demon they serve changed their mind. They are generally invisible unless the human they are after made a crossroads deal or is looking at them with an object scorched with Holy Fire.

- #5Knights of Hell
Keys: Knight of Hell, Knights of Hell
As a type of demon, Knights of Hell are evil spiritual entities that were created from human souls being stripped of their humanity. As a result of having been trained by Cain, Knights of Hell are very strong demons that possess unique abilities. They are called the first demons, making them among the oldest of their kind; this would mean that they were made shortly after the creation of, or at the same time as, the Princes of Hell and Lilith herself.
The King of Hell outranks the Knights of Hell and they are expected to serve him, but they may stage a coup if they disapprove of the current King. The Knights of Hell are higher-ranked than common demons and most likely Crossroad Demons. They usually command great respect from their fellow demons and have their own subordinates.
Their Powers Are: Possession, Biokinesis, Unique Smiting, Immunity, Super Strength, Telekinesis, Invulnerability, Telepathy, Immortality, Electromagnetic Interference, Weather Manipulation, Super Stamina, Terrakinesis, Flight , Tactile Exorcism, Teleportation, Apporting
Their Weaknesses Are: Devil's trap, Holy fire, Holy water, Demon-Killing Knife, Angels, Purified blood, The First Blade, Primordial Entities
- #6Smoke Form
Keys: Smoke Form · Secondary: Demon Smoke
Demons appear as smoke in their incorporeal form, they manifest by possessing humans, alive or recently deceased, via demonic possession. Acheri Demons are the only exception, as they are able to manifest from their smoke form into that of a little girl. When an exorcism is performed, this forces the demon to leave its vessel or meatsuit, and the smoke is usually seen pouring out of the person's mouth. In nearly all cases the smoke is black, except for Crowley, whose smoke is red.
Presumably, demons cannot be killed in their smoke form. Before demons appeared in smoke form, they were initially shown leaving a vessel in the form of a swarm of insects. Presumably, a demon's smoke form is the state of a soul after it has been tortured into becoming a demon, showing it to be corrupted. As demons are essentially spirits or souls. When combined demon smoke is able to lift almost any object.
- #7White Eyed Demons
Keys: White Eyed Demons, White Eyed Demon · Secondary: White Eyes
White-eyed demons are a very powerful group of demons, known for being among the oldest and strongest demons in all of Hell together with the four Princes of Hell. They are of such strength that while they could not kill angels with their own power, they could overpower them with ease. They instilled great panic in other demons as almost all other demons were terrified of them.
