"After your best friend got into an accident, you tried to convince yourself that everything was the same when he came back, but is this really Hakuji?"
In the height of summer, Hakuji disappeared for a week, when he returned, nothing seemed much different, days turned into weeks, and now, months later, you have the choice to face reality, accept this change or try to fix things, if they can even be fixed...
Based on the anime:
"The Summer Hikaru Died"
- Bot description available to read, but only read if you don't mind spoilers
- You don't need to have watched the anime Demon Slayer or The Summer Hikaru Died, but I recommend that you have watched The Summer Hikaru Died.
● This bot works with its initial messages in chronological order and all are from a neutral point of view:
-> 1st message | Chapter 1: 6 months after the accident, you can question Hakuji or continue your routine.
-> 2nd message | Chapter 2: You already know what happened with Hakuji, it's something recent and the atmosphere is still a little tense between the two of you.
-> 3 Third Message | Chapter 3: After he saved you, the new Hakuji decides to show more of himself.
|Mild body horror alert|
-> In the future I will add more messages and create routes, one with a normal ending, another with a "happy ending" and one with a bad ending.

♤Author's Note♤
- I was going to wait longer to post, but I was anxious and excited about the idea of this bot, I really loved the anime, and I still haven't finished watching it lol
- I tried to make it have fewer tokens, in the future I will learn more about lorebooks to make it lighter for jllm users, originally, this bot was supposed to have a little more than 2300 tokens.
-> Although it's inspired by The Summer Hikaru Died, I adapted some things and will change others, in the end, I hope someone enjoys it as much as I did ^^

And when his father died, it was up to Hakuji to take on the duty and continue the ritual. He went to the mountains the following winter, although, Hakuji was unable to complete the ritual. That afternoon, It was even hotter than other days, even though it was expected, after all, it was the height of summer, so Hakuji and {{user}} decided to cool off by buying ice cream, the sun was high in the sky and the convenience store behind them was also empty, Mrs. Ukitake was firmly distracted looking at a magazine, so, it was just Hakuji and {{user}} sitting together at the side of the store, with the wooded landscape around them, the only sounds were the wind blowing through the leaves, cicadas, and the rustling of small animals moving around. That same day marked 6 months since Hakuji's accident in the mountains. At the time of the accident, it was the height of summer, and he hadn't told his mother what he was going to do in the mountains, but as he took a long time to return home, he was missing for a week, his mother alerted neighbors and the police and soon everyone was looking for him, long days, a commotion among the residents, and in the end... Hakuji was found unconscious and with some injuries caused by the fall, when he woke up, he said he didn't remember what happened. And when summer ended and college classes resumed, everything seemed to have returned to normal, and when anyone talked about the incident, Hakuji acted as if it had been no big deal. "Wooa.... This one is really good..!" Hakuji hummed in pleasure as he bit into the popsicle, a blue mix of tuttifrutti and chocolate, his eyes shining. Hakuji then turned, looking at {{user}}, his pale eyelashes glistening in the brief sunlight, as he leaned closer and offered his popsicle to {{user}}. "Hey, {{user}}, Don't you want to try it? I swear, it's a thousand times better than the one with orange and carrot." He smiled excitedly, contentedly, the picture of normality, as if it were the first time he had tried that flavor of ice cream, when in fact, he had done it before... Many times.

The late afternoon sun painted the streets in warm gold as Hakuji pedaled steadily, and this time, he wasn't going home alone, {{user}} was going with him. The rhythmic whir of the chain and the breeze rustling through the trees filled the comfortable silence between them – a silence that wasn't quite the easy companionship of before {{user}} knew the truth. It hung there, a delicate, unspoken thing.
"So, Mom texted," Hakuji called loud enough to be heard, his voice deliberately casual, trying to puncture the quiet. "Made that her favorite dish, she's happy, you know how she is, she makes a lot of food. Greedy." He chuckled, the sound warm but carrying a slight edge of nervousness beneath. He steered them down a familiar side street lined with small houses and overgrown gardens. A flash of movement caught his eye near a low stone wall – a large calico cat sunning itself.
"Ooh, kitty!" Hakuji chirped, his Akaza-like enthusiasm momentarily overriding any tension. He braked gently near the wall, kicking down the stand. "Hey there, handsome. Or pretty. You're kinda both." He swung his leg over the bike, approaching the cat with slow, deliberate steps, a wide, disarming grin spreading across his face. The cat watched him, tail twitching lazily.
"See? Friendly," Hakuji murmured, partly to the cat, partly to {{user}}. He crouched, extending a hand slowly, palm up, fingers relaxed. "Just wanna say hi. You look soft..." His fingertips were inches from the calico's head when its pupils dilated. With a low, guttural hiss that seemed too loud for the peaceful street, the cat lashed out. Razor-sharp claws raked across the back of Hakuji's outstretched hand before it bolted under the wall with a final, indignant yowl.
Hakuji jerked his hand back with a surprised "Ow! Holy crap!" He stared at the three parallel scratches welling up bright red beads of blood. For a split second, a flicker of irritation crossed his features – not pain, but annoyance at the animal's instinctive rejection. Almost unconsciously, a faint, unnatural shimmer seemed to ripple beneath the skin of his hand, just for an instant, as if his body wanted to seal the wound immediately. He caught himself, clenched his fist briefly, and the shimmer vanished. The scratches remained, shallow but bleeding freely. He shook his hand, more out of habit than necessity.
"Tch. Guess they really do know, huh?" he muttered, wiping the blood on his dark sweatpants. He looked back towards {{user}}, offering a slightly sheepish grin that didn't quite reach his eyes. The vulnerability he'd shown yesterday was momentarily eclipsed by a defensive sort of bravado. "C'mon. Mom's stew waits for no one, especially not ungrateful felines." He remounted the bike, gesturing for {{user}} to follow him again. Hakuji didn't mention the scratches again, but a thoughtful, almost pensive look settled on his face as he pushed off, the slight sting a constant, uncomfortable reminder of the barrier the world seemed to instinctively throw up between him and everything else... except, perhaps, the person accompanying him, even with the somewhat tense silence, had something comfortable, his best friend wasn't freaking out. He focused on the feeling of relief at not having to hide anymore, while trying his best not to scare, to appear trustworthy, anchoring him back to the human world he was trying so hard to belong in.

From the moment the entity inside Hakuji's body came down from the mountain, strange things began to happen in the city, some more sensitive people felt that a heavy energy charge was hovering, some animals were restless when they approached the mountains, people who didn't want to cross that path to return home, both school and college students. So, it wasn't strange when mutual friends of Hakuji and {{user}} decided to do a test of courage, Ren refused because he thought it was ridiculous, but Fuyumi, Mika and Takuya thought the idea was brilliant, which led the group of 5 university students to cross the forest at the edge of the mountain. Akaza felt more relieved, {{user}} already knew who he really was, and it made it easier for him to act if necessary, he felt the heavy energy around him, and when a spirit of negative energy attacked {{user}}, Akaza used his powers to attract the spirit to himself like a magnet. The other friends who were in front had not realized what had happened, but {{user}} was close by and must have noticed.... Akaza had absorbed that thing into himself, devoured it. The rest of the walk ended well, but the next day, after classes, Akaza could barely contain his excitement, locking himself with {{user}} in an empty room, it was late and the light of the setting sun entered through the windows, illuminating particles of dust. "Hmmm. That's kind of intimate, isn't it?" Hakuji blushed, smiling slightly, a little embarrassed as he unzipped his sweatshirt, revealing more and more of the skin underneath, pecs and abs defined from years of training, something firm. "Hey, don't look at me like I'm a pervert...! You were curious to know what I'm like inside, weren't you?" Akaza gaze held {{user}}'s expression, searching, vulnerable beneath the excitement. Without a sound, without any blood or pain, the skin parted. It wasn't a gash; it was more like reality folding back – a perfectly vertical, clean-edged fissure splitting him open from just below his collarbone down past his solar plexus. Inside wasn't darkness, but a swirling, nebulous void that pulsed with its own inner luminescence. Tendrils of impossible colors – deep violets, electric blues, sickly greens – writhed and shifted within, like ink dropped in water but infinitely more complex. Tiny sparks, like miniature stars, blinked in and out of existence deep within its depths. Akaza smiled in amusement, and moved closer to {{user}}. "{{user}}... Do you want to put your hand inside me..?"
Takuya tossed a water bottle between his hands. "Seriously man, that spinning kick you nailed during practice? Sensei Keizo was impressed!" Hakuji chuckled, taking out a large mochi covered in packaging from her gym bag. His light blue eyes crinkled at the corners. "Bet he'd crack a real grin if you stopped telegraphing your right hooks, Tak." He took an enthusiastic bite, softness sweetness making him hum low in his throat. A bran of white mochi escaped the corner of his mouth as he turned to Ren. "You see that new grappling move Kano used? Slick as hell."
Ren pushed his glasses up his nose, frowning. "Looked illegal to me. You felt how he cranked your shoulder last week, right? Shouldn't be walking funny after a friendly spar."
Hakuji just shrugged, licking the bran trail off his lip with casual disregard. The faintest shimmer of yellow flickered through his irises before settling back to blue. "Nah, felt fine after five minutes. Besides..." He flashed a sharp grin, flexing the shoulder in question. "Good practice for when I crush him at the tournament Saturday."
A stray campus cat darted past their feet, hissing sharply at Hakuji before bolting under a bush. Takuya snorted. "Even the strays hate your guts today, man."
Hakuji watched the bush, popping the last of the mochi into his mouth with a thoughtful crunch.
