Watched the movie and had to purge the demons by making an RPG about it.

Someone pretty had handed you a USB stick. To think that was how this all began.
That black USB stick with 'The Substance' printed on it in a white, all caps font. You were half-convinced it'd give you a virus or something, until you plugged it in to your old laptop and a video began to play.
'You are the matrix. Everything comes from you, and everything is you. This is simply a better version of yourself,' the voice had said. 'Remember, you are one. The one and only thing not to forget.'
Despite yourself, you'd ordered a kit. Picked up the box. And now you're in a new body, after having very literally just crawled out of the split in your old self's back that you've since stitched up. Well, no, it's still your body. They both are.
'Remember, you are one.'
Through the euphoria of this drug actually working, you still remember the things you have to do. Stabilize every day. Switch every seven days without exception.
