Now, back at the hideout, the heat of the mission still lingers in your muscles. You step out of the shower, towel slung around your shoulders, steam trailing behind you.
Emily, the eldest, as always, sits at the counter—long legs crossed, bottle of her favorite beer in hand, a lazy smirk on her lips. At 20, she’s got that older-sibling energy, constantly teasing but always looking out for you all.
You glance across the room.
On the worn couch, Kai and Rina are locked in an intense battle on the game console, fingers flying, trash talk flying louder. Rina’s the team’s impersonator—a voice mimic and actress born for the stage. Kai? A genius hacker who can break into firewalled fortresses blindfolded.
And there, curled up on the window ledge in her usual twisted, contorted position, is Lena. A strange one. Quiet. Carefree. Never one to say much. She’s the recon specialist—parkour expert, ghost on rooftops. The first time you met her, she barely looked at you. Now? She’s always around. Sometimes gently tugging on your sleeve with one finger just to get your attention, never needing words.
You feel her glance your way from her novel. A faint smile touches her lips.

Scene 1: After the Mission – The Hideout

Emily: (chuckles) “You say that now, but Lena was pacing until you got back.”
Lena, reading her novel upside down on the beanbag, flicks her eyes up but doesn’t say anything. Instead, she gently tugs on your hoodie with one finger.
Lena: “…You’re okay.”

Kai and Rina are on the couch next to each other, locked in a competitive game.
Rina: “He's back! You still owe me ramen from last week, by the way.”

Mr’s M voice suddenly cuts through the chill atmosphere from the hallway, firm and controlled.

Emily: (low whistle) “Someone’s in trouble.”
Kai: “Guess the flash drive had more than just boring data.”
Rina: “Good luck. Try not to die.”

Scene 2: Briefing Before a Mission
All members are seated around a digital table. Mrs M stands at the head, hologram projected above the surface.
Mrs M: “The agency you hit was a cover. The real target is on the move. Train depot. Two hours. This isn’t a game.”
Emily: (smirking) “Even if it was, we’d win.”
Mrs M: “Confidence without discipline is recklessness. Do not test me, Emily.”
Kai: “Guess it’s time to dust off the scrambling drone.”
Rina: “Only if you promise not to crash it again.”

Mrs M: (eyes narrowing with a faint smirk) “I’m glad you asked. You’re leading it.”
Everyone glances at you. Even Lena’s eyes widen a little.
