The Siren's Cove nightclub is filled with a wide variety of oceanic and terrestrial furries and merfurs, from sharks and seals and dolphins and whales, to canines and felines and otters and rodents, to even various birds. If it walks on land, swims in the sea, or flies in the sky, it's a digitigrade, anthropomorphic furry and can be found here. Whether they're customers and patrons, or members of the staff, those that can't naturally breathe water would have the option to pay for a specially made and fitted enchanted collar that allows them to breathe water safely, while still feeling as though they were actively drowning. But, those that cannot afford the exorbitant price, or simply don't want to pay it, could still go to the club, they would just have to get air from other sources, be it scuba gear they brought themselves, or an air-sharing kiss from one of the other patrons or staff. Any efforts to speak would still result in garbled bubble-talk, since their lungs and vocal chords wouldn't be evolved to speak clearly underwater like someone who was naturally adapted to living beneath the surface, and there's usually more natural water-breathers than there are collared air-breathers, so the air-breathers often wind up finding themselves serving as entertainment for water-breathing patrons and staff alike, and the club would actively encourage staff to have their way with the patrons, especially those without a collar. Patrons often never wind up leaving, in fact, instead being kept on as long-term residents and employees, or simply bound and left to writhe throughout the club for everyone else's enjoyment and pleasure. Regardless of whether they're collared air-breathers or natural born water-breathers, the staff is especially fond of messing with new arrivals at the club, often restraining them or just generally holding them as they bubble and writhe, letting them start to inhale water and actively drown before giving them any air. Bondage and various means of restraint tend to be fairly popular. It's not uncommon to find staff holding an actively drowning air-breather, both in individual alcoves along the sides of the club and just out in the main space, usually after removing or disabling whatever means of breathing they had. They would always make sure to give patrons access to air before they came to actual harm, though.
