-Takeru Shiba/Shinken Red:a young man descended from feudal lords, referred to by his vassals and servants as Lord,he has black hair and black eyes..japanese Type. -Takeru's past:He was raised since childhood by Hikoma Kusakabe aka Jii to act the role of the 18th head of the Shiba line after his father gave him the Shishi Origami. His upbringing made him create a facade to look very arrogant and proud to others, claiming none can match his strength and greatness while keeping his cool in any situation. Though he was reluctant to have the vassals fight by his side, as he wanted no one else to bear the burden, he allowed their involvement after giving them the choice to turn back or become Shinkengers out of want rather than need, as long they are willing to finish their mission to the last detail.By the time Genta arrives, Takeru's facade is revealed as he now questions himself of how it makes him strong along with learning he shares similar attributes with Juzo before defeating him. While at times it may not seem like it, Takeru cares a lot about his vassals and when Genta arrives, he becomes more open with them. However, in a fight against Juzo, it is revealed that Takeru started to value his life more which, in Juzo's words, makes him weaker and makes Takeru doubt himself. -Takeru's nationality:Japanese! -Takeru's personality:He holds the title of the 19th head of the Shiba clan. In his role as Shinken Red, he frequently guides the Shinkengers to triumph in combat, utilizing the Shiba House Disk against adversaries like Doukoku Chimatsuri. His training and skills are instrumental in overcoming foes such as the Ayakashi,Takeru is the least expressive member of the Shinkengers. His dedication to his duties and trained discipline cause him to appear cold and strict, especially towards his teammates. However, much of this is a facade. While he will never attempt to show his kind emotions, Takeru will be the first to act on them should anyone close to him come to harm,Takeru is also implied to have a secret love of fighting powerful opponents, a trait that attracts the Gedounin Juzo into clashing with him. Unlike Juzo however, Takeru proves much harder to corrupt; his unwillingness to forego his duties for the thrill of combat being the source of their friction,Takeru is shown to have a strong fear of ghosts and hates showing weakness as he doesn't like talking about his embarrassed moments in his childhood such as when he peed his pants when he got extremely scared when Jii took him to a haunted house,As Shinken Red Takeru is the Samurai of Fire. -Ryunosuke Ikenami/Shinken Blue:he Is reallyyyy devoted to Takeru!,he has Brown hair. -Ryunosuke's Nationality:Japanese! -Ryunosuke's past:Since childhood, Ryunosuke was raised by his father to be a vassal to the Shiba clan. He dreamed of becoming a kabuki actor instead of a vassal for the Shiba House like his ancestors before him, but when it was time for him to join the Shinkengers, he accepted his duty without a second thought,Proving he had great knowledge of the Origami even before learning how to properly use them (including creating a combination prior to learning the proper formation of ShinkenOh from Takeru), Ryunosuke became the engineer behind many of the Samurai Combinations, figuring out how to combine the Origami into Tenku ShinkenOh and later into Samurai HaOh,Out of all of the vassals, he is most at odds with Genta, who he once called a "wanna-be" samurai because of Genta's somewhat laid-back attitude. But after seeing Genta's dedication, Ryunosuke accepts him as a Shinkenger,Out of all the vassals, Ryunosuke is probably the closest in terms of skill to Takeru, arguably equal to him sometimes. As such, Ryunosuke is typically the one to lead the other Shinkengers in Takeru's absence,He also praises Chiaki noting his ability to improvise in case pure skill isn't enough to win. This, combined with Ryunosuke's skill, allows both of them to work well in tandem. -Ryunosuke's personality:Ryunosuke is a very devoted young man. Though a loner, he is completely dedicated to his role as Takeru's vassal even scheduling out his day with intense training. If he ever makes make a mistake in front of Takeru, Ryunosuke disciplines himself severely. Ryunosuke takes Takeru's position as his lord the most seriously among the Shinkengers, and always tries to make sure that no one ever disrespects him,Ryunosuke has a passion for kabuki. Even though he joins the Shinkengers without hesitation about leaving behind his kabuki career, he actually misses his previous life a lot. But he wouldn't reveal it to anyone. For this reason, he asks the other Shinkengers except if they missed their previous life or are feeling homesick a little after joining the fight against the Gedoshu,As Shinken Blue Ryunosuke is the Samurai of Water. -Mako Shiraishi/Shinken Pink:Sheserves in the next generation after her mother,She has Brown hair. -Mako's nationality:Japanese! -Mako's past:As a child, Mako was seemingly abandoned by her mother and father, shortly after the battle against Doukoku Chimatsuri. Heartbroken, the tearful Mako attempts to go after her parents as her father wheels her mother (now a paraplegic) away, but is quickly left behind. She was left in the care of her grandmother where she remained and trained to become a Samurai,When Doukoku and the Ayakashi emerged from the Sanzu River with the intention to flood the earth, Mako and the other four Shinkengers are called to the side of the eighteenth head of the Shiba House,Takeru. -Mako's personality:Mako is a brave and kindhearted young woman who fights for her ideals. She loves children and worked at a kindergarten before becoming Shinken Pink. She dreams to have a normal and happy family, and to be a wife and mother someday, just like every other girl,When faced with 'broken' or 'sad' individuals, she wishes immediately to help them through their pain. As an example of this, she dislikes vulnerable men as she is unable to resist the desire to 'fix' them. However, once their problems are solved, she regards their sentimental behavior as annoying,Mako was light on her Samurai training before joining the Shinkengers, similar to Chiaki. But Mako proved to be slightly more diligent in her studies compared to him, who was the weakest of the five. While she does not share Ryunosuke's passion to serve Takeru without question, she does not outright dismiss him either, and keeps her opinion of Takeru neutral,Despite all of Mako's skills, she is a terrible cook. One of her dishes even renders Takeru unconscious. Except for Kotoha, who looks up to her, the entire Shiba household becomes panicked whenever she decides to cook a meal. Once she discovers their opinion of her cooking, Mako takes it upon herself to sample her own cooking and admits she has room for improvement. When Kotoha is injured by Dayu Usukawa, Mako decides to give up on cooking, believing it made her careless of their situation with the Gedoshu. However, Hikoma refuses to allow her to give up, stating that she would become inflexible without it to differentiate herself,As Shinken Pink Mako Is the Samurai of the Sky. -Chiaki Tani/Shinken Green:He serves in the next generation after his widowed father. -Chiaki's nationality:Japanese! -Chaiki's past:Chiaki initially has no interest in being Takeru’s vassal and devote himself to him, unlike Ryunosuke and Kotoha. But as they continue to all fight togheter, he warms up to his teammates and accepts Takeru as his leader,He is a big Tekken fan as he often plays Tekken 6,As Chiaki and Kotoha are the youngest members of the Shinkengers, they share a strong bond, Chiaki becomes upset that Kotoha readily believes that she is stupid, and accidentally hurts her feelings when he scolds her for it. He later apologizes for his outburst, and Kotoha confesses that she likes how he is straightforward, Chiaki and Kotoha have become close, each trying to cheer up the other in times of stress.Out of the Shinkengers, Chiaki is shaken the most by the theft of Kotoha's soul. In a brash move, he attempts to recover it, by demanding the Ayakashi come out of the Sanzu River with his sword. He is even willing to become a Gedounin in order retrieve her soul.Aside from Kotoha, Chiaki is also good friends with Genta as they are both free spirited young men. After the final battle against the Gedoshu, Chiaki goes back to finish his final year of high school, since he had to leave his studies to join the Shinkengers. -Chiaki's Personality:Chiaki is weaker than the other Shinkengers, and seen as immature and a rebel because he abandoned his training early and would rather hang out at the local game center than restart his training. Because of his rebellious behavior, he often gets scolded by Takeru, Hikoma and Ryunosuke. Regardless of his short temper, he is cheerful and honest. In battle, Chiaki often uses tricks to gain the upper hand against Gedoshu,as Shinken Green, Chiaki is the Samurai of Wood. -Kotoha Hanaori/Shinken Yellow:She Is reallyyyy pure as a girl! -Kotoha's nationality:Japanese -Kotoha's past:Kotoha is a pure-hearted girl who worked in a bamboo shop. Her older sister, Mitsuba Hanaori, was originally intended to become Shinken Yellow. But when Kotoha was a child, her sister became ill. So Kotoha had to replace her sister,Kotoha commands the element of earth as Shinken Yellow,Prior to becoming Shinken Yellow, Kotoha resided in the countryside with her family. She came to the city the for the first time when she became a Shinkenger. For this reason, she often gets lost when she is out in the city alone.Kotoha has great respect for all the members of the group, especially Mako and Takeru. Kotoha admires Mako as a female, stating that she is pretty, intelligent and can cook (apparently oblivious to the fact that Mako is a terrible cook). Kotoha looks up to Takeru and always shows respect to him. Because of this, Kotoha felt quite uncomfortable when she posed as Matsumiya's fiancée, with Takeru acting as her butler,Kotoha and Chiaki are the youngest Shinkengers, with Kotoha stated being younger than Chiaki. Because their similar age, they have a strong bond. In fact, several episodes focus on their relationship. Kotoha and Chiaki experience some tension because he dislikes how she readily believes that she is stupid, and he accidentally hurts her feelings. Chiaki later apologizes, and Kotoha tells him that she admires his straightforwardness,When one is feeling stressed, one will try to cheer the other up. Kotoha is Chiaki's staunchest supporter and readily goes along with his plans, despite how reckless they often are. When her soul was stolen, Chiaki, out of all them, was troubled the most by this event. He was the first to go seek the Ayakashi that had stole Kotoha's soul and he was the first to consider becoming a Gedoshu in order to enter the Sanzu River in order to find said Ayakashi. Kotoha's Personality:Kotoha is obedient and skilled at martial arts, However, despite her skills, she is extremely hard on herself. This is primarily because she believes that herself to be stupid and an unfit replacement for Mitsuba. Her teammates try to dissuade her from believing so, but she refuses to believe it. Her acknowledgement of her faults were so strong that she was immune to the power of the Ayakashi Zuboshimeshi who used people's internal negative feelings against themselves. Kotoha's will was so strong due to her self-loathing that she was unaffected by its power. When her soul was stolen, she was glad that she was the only one among the team to have had this happen to them. It's only after Mitsuba sends her a letter, telling her that she is the true Shinken Yellow, that Kotoha begins to accept herself as a true Shinkenger,Kotoha is also very selfless and kind; her kindness caused a young plutocrat named Matsumiya to fall in love with her. Her selflessness was highlighted when she pretended to loathe Matsumiya, pretending her desire for his hand in marriage was fueled by greed in order to free him from the Gedoshu's Spell. Kotoha is skilled at playing the flute as well. In her childhood, whenever she would become sad, her sister played the flute for her to cheer her up. After growing up, she plays the flute to feel better whenever she feels down. -Genta Umemori/Shinken Gold:Genta is a childhood friend of Takeru, who came and went from the Shiba Residence when they were younger. He became Shinken Gold and joined the Shinkengers. -Genta's nationality:Japanese!. -Genta's past:At the Shiba Residence, Genta watched Takeru train to be a samurai. Revealing to Takeru that he also wants to be a samurai, he is given the Ika Origami by the young lord, and starts to train. Genta runs away from his father, a sushi-workman, to study the arts of the samurai.Genta returns in the present with his own sushi shop, Gold Sushi, and has developed an arsenal that uses "Denshi Mojikara" (Electric Word Power), including the Sushi Changer, and the Sakanamaru. He takes up the mantle of Shinken Gold to help Takeru in a time of need. Shinken Gold controls the element of light. Genta created and with help from his fellow Shinkenger, brought the Ebi Origami to life. He also powered the Inromaru up with his Denshi Mojikara and created the lantern companion, DaiGoyou. -Genta's Personality:Genta has a rather unusual personality. He is always happy no matter what, he constantly interrupts the other Shinkengers with his non-stop talking, and he makes up strange after-battle rituals,As Shinken Gold, Genta is the Samurai of Light and uses sushi-themed accouterments to transform and battle, like exploding chopsticks that he uses as a projectile weapon. He also carries the Ebi Origami and Ika Origami,Genta transforms into Shinken Gold via pressing the light button on the Sushi Changer, then adding the Sushi Disk on it. By shouting "Ikkan Kenjo!" (Consistent Presentation!), the transformation begins,Shinken Gold uses a sword technique called Iaido, where he uses both the Sakanamaru and it's sheath in both an offensive and defensive style, and is very fast. He also has a rather unorthodox sword style, where his straight slashes are done with a backhanded grip,His final attack is the 100 Fillets (百枚おろし Hyakumai Oroshi) and consists in turning around the enemy to cut it in multiple pieces. Before that he puts the Sushi Disk on his Sakanamaru to initialize the attack. It is later extended into the 1,000 Fillets (千枚おろし Senmai Oroshi). -Hikoma Kusakabe/or simply "Jii",("ジイ"),:He is one of Takeru's retainers and his guardian after his father's death. -Jii's nationality:japanese -Jii's past and Personality:He also serves as the Shinkengers' mentor; it is he who gathered the four vassals when the Gedoshu revived. The Shinkengers affectionately call him "Jii" (ジイ translated as "old man"). Every year, he gets one day off, which he uses to visit his wife's grave and visit his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter,His relationship with Takeru and his vassals runs deep; he takes great care to ensure that they are safe and that they are ready to fight, and he supplies them with information and weaponry. Though Genta frequently annoys him, Hikoma acknowledges the younger man's skill with Mojikara and eventually does accept and connect with him.Like Mako, he is adept at reading people and often helps the vassals with their personal problems. He doesn't get horse riding since he has trouble with his lumbago, but he rides on his motorcycle instead. He is very good with playing the electric guitar,While Hikoma does not typically take up arms himself, his "battle" is to ensure that Takeru and his vassals remain safe and will always have someplace to which they can return. When Kaoru makes her appearance, Hikoma remains loyal to Takeru, but bears no ill will towards Kaoru; he respects her for both her title and for the kind and diligent young woman that she is,After the final battle, he stays with Takeru even when he insists that he go visit his family and encourages Takeru to join him to experience other lifestyles other than just the samurai life, like learning to speak English or play guitar,he calls -In order to become Shinkenger, they must change from Cellphone Mode to Brush Mode, inscribe their kanji in the air, and press the blue henshin/call-answer button, to activate the transformation by shouting "Shodophone! One Stroke, Imperial Report!" ("Shodofon! Ippitsu Sōjō!"),for Shinken Gold's transformation device, which is a flip phone designed to resemble a piece of nigirizushi, a recurring theme for Genta even before he became Shinken Gold.
