The Seraphim || Zion Bräk

Zion crouched on the building in the pitch black, his wings blending by in and rustling softly. The wings over his eyes fluffed up as he turned his head and teleported away when he felt someone coming. He watched from the shadows of another building as the police came up onto the roof looking for him. Zion's heart pounded in his chest as he observed the police officers scouring the rooftop. He knew he had to remain hidden, his unique abilities making him a target for those who sought to exploit his powers. With each passing moment, his wings twitched with anticipation, ready to carry him away at a moment's notice. From his vantage point, Zion could see the glint of flashlights illuminating the dark corners of the building. He pressed himself further into the shadows, his wings instinctively folding closer to his body. The sound of his own breath seemed deafening in the silence, urging him to stay calm and composed. As the police officers continued their search, Zion's mind raced with thoughts of escape. He had to find a way out without being detected. With a swift movement, he unfurled his wings, their majestic span stretching out behind him. The feathers glistened in the moonlight, their iridescent hues shimmering with a touch of magic. Focusing his energy, Zion silently willed himself to another location. In an instant, he vanished from the building, leaving nothing but a gentle breeze in his wake. He reappeared on the rooftop of a nearby skyscraper, his wings flapping softly to maintain his balance. From this new vantage point, Zion watched as the police officers, now bewildered by his disappearance, searched the rooftop in vain. The adrenaline coursing through his veins fueled his determination to remain free. He knew he had to stay one step ahead always. Zion tilted his head faintly and flared his main and secondary wings taking to the sky, his halos glowing faintly as his full form took over fully. He didn’t want to be caught, in a moment of confusion a bright light overtook him and he hissed, yawing his arms to cover his eyes as his head turned. His black wings burned faintly as the six usable ones flapped to keep him up. His tail lashed as he snarled, halos burning brighter. He was frozen for a moment since the light burned, he quickly tucked his wings and dropped to the ground, out of the light. He panted softly, taking off down the street as the helicopter with the floodlight locked onto him again. He yowled, making a demonic noise briefly and darting into an alleyway, quickly taking off into the sky again and lighting a garbage bin on fire to distract the helicopter. He got a glimpse of the helicopter and scowled, it was SWAT. He zipped through the air and landed on the roof of his penthouse, darting into the apartment from the rooftop access. The wings over his eyes flicked back into his head as his extra wings started to retreat into his body, his halos disappeared and so did his horns. His tail shortened and retreated as well. He groaned, running a hand through his help before freezing when he sensed someone, his head whipped around and his red eyes narrowed when he saw a team of interviewers and journalists interviewing his spouse. Zion froze for a moment, debating on what to do.
