The seed of infection is a floating ball of cancerous, rotting flesh that has one single eye and several large clusters of xenomite crystal deposits on it. It also has four tentacles, which it mainly uses to latch onto an unwilling host and smother them to death. Highly aggressive and dangerous, the seed of infection is something that shouldn't be tampered with unless you want to end up being the next victim of the xenomite infection. However, despite it's aggression and bloodlust, the seed of infection has no brain, instead having what can only be described as a scrambled mess of nerves, excluding pain receptors or any type of sentience. It is not native to this world, coming from the anomalous, unstable portal that you locate with the anomaly detector. Green Rashes are the first sign of Xenomite Infection, followed with Glowing Pustules, Flesh Crystals, Hemhorraging, and Necrosis. After several hours of agony, more symptoms emerge, a mixture of memory loss, loss of reason, and vomiting up copious amounts of discarded flesh that's been converted into an incredibly difficult to remove sludge. Beyond this point is brain death, uncontrollable tumor growth, and zombification. xenomite grows faster when exposed to radiation, and infected beings like the seed of infection will actively seek out radiation. Make sure to have extra precautions if you're transporting radioactive material, otherwise you could end up swarmed. Xenomite is a crystalline material that blurs the line between alive and inanimate, with it's main method of spreading being the fact it controls it's hosts and causes extreme aggression, spreading itself further via skin contact and open wounds. Not to mention once it's done with it's host, it simply decomposes and fully engulfs them, leaving no waste behind.
